  1. Sad to say but I think thats quite accurate of the squad we have.....its up to them to prove us wrong in the last few games of the season but as far as their long term future at the club is concerned it will be too little too late
  2. Do people remember where we were before 2012? That’s what’s important, that’s our club, that’s our history. Fuck this second best apathetic shite, it has to end and if these players can’t/wont live up to that responsibility they all need moved on.
  3. he simply has to move Tav and goldson on at the very least or he’ll ultimately fail here
  4. I doubt he’ll be dropped as a) we can I’ll afford to and b) clement knows he’s right but obviously can’t come out and say it. Managers that throw players under the bus usually don’t last long. We need to stumble over the finish line this year as best we can and see how the chips fall. If we somehow pull it together in the Scottish cup and do a double and miss out on the league by a few points then based on what clement inherited I think you have to say clement has been successful (it’s what I wanted him to do)
  5. I think what the statement meant was when they press us high up the park and our in our faces when they are out of possession. You are right though that generally when teams don’t play the low block that’s when we won and won comfortably.
  6. Two trains of thought regarding contracts: he’s got a new deal so doesn’t need to try to win one so he goes lazy again he’s not getting a deal so doesn’t need to try to win one so he goes lady again I’m not sure lundstram is the root of the problem but I’d still much rather see him leave and free the wages up as he’s not worth what he’s on now and presumably what he’ll be on if he has signed an extension
  7. "We're fighting for a title but the way we're playing we're not playing for nothing" (in other words we are playing like there is nothing to play for) "Like the seasons dead, dead rubber games" "Somehow its gotta switch but I don't have the words to do it or know how to do it myself personally, its a team thing, its not just one person its not just the gaffer" He knows its wrong and he's doing what he can but its not down to one person or the manager i.e. its the rest of the fucking squad. Last night this was evident (other than McAusland) in terms of effort on the park.
  8. You can see it in the way they play. Sterling won the ball in a 30/70 challenge last night in the middle of their half in the centre of the park when he’s playing left back. Compare it to goldson who’s made how many mistakes in the last 3 games and looks like a rabbit in the headlights.
  9. If Tav and goldson want to make amends just go and break that rat bastards legs. I detest him.
  10. Just listen to yourselves we took 1 point of Ross county and Dundee and played utterly shite in both, scoring an own and a penalty……the league is done Stop letting these players get your hopes up.
  11. Clement came here to win things, he had other offers like the Saudi league which would have set him up financially for life but he wanted to be here, he wanted to win things. i don’t doubt the manager is really hurt by the last few weeks and I think what he is saying behind close doors is very different from what he said last night. The players however felt they “made it” with 55, look at the regression with Kamara as a prime example. The club, director of football and managers also share the blame for not refreshing the squad and sticking with the same stale players who have lost interest. They did have the desire once but that fire went out over time. The signings this year were a joke though, Butland and Sterling are the only two that I can see that have that fire in them.
  12. Last one was probably the sheep cup final. There is no denying he has dug us out of some bad situations in the last but if that’s all he is bringing to the table and it’s happening less often as he doesn’t have the legs anymore for it then it’s time to move on so we can start to share the burden across the team instead of players just hoping he scores a free kick or penalty. Much like letting Morelos go, we could have kept him on but it’s living off of past successes that is now the problem, likewise for lundstram, goldson, Barisic, jack, roofe
  13. Probably best to get the 9 in a row VHS and just live in the past if you want Rangers men and a nearly all Scottish backbone.
  14. A lot has been made of their success in that market but that stopped once their manager changed because the prior knowledge of these players moved with that manager. I think you need a mix of players, some more technical and skilful, some more physical and that usually comes from where they have played their football up until now. If we signed a Scottish player who moved to Italy at 15 they’d be totally different from one playing for Dundee so I guess your right it’s not necessarily nationality but more about where they have been playing and understanding the demands of the Scottish game. It’s also a reason why you need to blend experience levels in a squad too. Too many older, more experienced players will lead to lower energy levels. Too many young players will give you lots of energy but it will lack structure (actually laughable we had no structure in our last 3 games and have lots of experiences “pros”). The irony is even under Warburton there was talk about signing players with the right profile to be a Ranger and how many players in the last 9 years would anyone say fit what they believe to be a Ranger?
  15. It’s actually quite damning on players who have been here so long that a 20 year old knows more about expectation, responsibility and pressure. Its a privilege to be a professional football first and foremost but to get the chance to play for big clubs is something that not many will get the opportunity to do so and you have to be prepared to take the good and the bad. For me I see fear in these players, it’s why you get the shitey sideways passing because they don’t want to take the chance of upsetting the crowd for a misplaced forward pass.
  16. Maybe so, but we did beat betis at a ground where they hadn’t lost domestically this year until we played them. There is ability in our squad but we’ve gone for the type of player who has fallen from grace and we try to get them back to their best. It’s why you see glimpses of great play but it’s never the norm.
  17. Scottish players generally do seem to have quite a good work ethic because they are more limited on a technical side, it’s just the way our game is. It’s why our league is fast paced and physical compared to the likes of Italy or Holland, it’s why Lammers has broken a scoring record since January but was utter mince here. We definitely have to be more open minded to signing players like Lewis Ferguson but preferably before he moved to the sheep as he would have been cheaper. The big problem is we don’t do well developing players like this as they never seem to get a good run of games to develop as they would at other clubs because they have les riding on each game whereas our support demand we win every match.
  18. I don’t buy that the players are shit. We don’t get to a Europa cup final with shit players, limited players yes but not shit. The problem is they show up when it suits them and hide when it doesn’t. We’ve also taken big gambles on players who will be good if we can get them firing again (be it injury or drop in form over the years) as they are cheaper than buying the players in their prime. Far too many of them have been failed experiments. The trick is to spot talent and aptitude in younger players before they make it, sign them when they are cheap enough to take a punt on them, embed them in a squad with positive role models so that they follow suit, then sell them on when they outgrow the club.

Anyone else get an incredible itch to start a new Rangers save after games like we’ve had in the last few weeks. I’m tempted to use the real fixture results data pack to take over with the league as it stands just now and see whether I can win the title but more importantly seeing how much of an overhaul I can do with the squad in one window.
  20. Do you think the players for Dundee last night were Dundee men? They were busting an absolute gut both defensively and offensively. At one point in the second half when Dundee had someone at the back post unmarked it took about 4 seconds before our midfield were visible and were just jogging back. This isn’t because they don’t support Rangers they just have an incredibly bad mentality, you can’t argue they were knackered because none of them ended up on the grass with cramp
