  1. No damage done if the club announces that their contracts won't be renewed; it's just like giving your notice. They could mutually agree that there's no need for the players to turn up for 'work' and that they're free to look elsewhere. They'll get paid up to the end of their contracts - just like Ally and McDowell
  2. Did his appearance count towards the end of the season not trigger an extension to his contract? He'll be on big wages which no one else would pay so will stick around so that he can afford his sunbed bills. Others mentioned - it's down to having offered big contracts to the others. Unless another club comes in offering them as much salary as they're getting from Rangers, they're going to stick it out. Another season of Rangers in the Championship on their cv may not be what they want if they aspire to better things but money's money. Is that how much is being freed up by letting them go? When the club's reported to be losing up to £1m a month, that's a piss in the ocean but it helps.
  3. Apologies. Made an arse of multi-quoting. Then where does the money come from to fund (re)building the team? Fair enough if it brings folk flooding into the ground but most folk's objection is that the team isn't worth watching. Charge more; afford a better team structure; attract more punters. It all makes sense and, given that prices are still well below what they were before going bust, that's surely all good, no? Apology for the failure to win promotion. Players that remain are feeling the pain big time and will redouble their efforts for next season. 'X' number of players have now left and are off the books so we are saving £Yk money with immediate effect.New start. The past is past. Not going to look in rear view mirror. Only focussed on the future and delivering football success and financial healthBoard are immediately investing £Zm over the next 'X' months to help fund the recovery. Planning to raise more by doing [whatever......]Should have had this message out already - regardless of the play-off resultStuart has our thanks for managing the team over the last few months and we wish him well for the future. We have appointed [??] to be the Manager with immediate effect and have appointed [??] to be the DOF and appointed [??] to form and run a modern scouting system. The board should have confirmed their thanks for all he's done and let everyone know that he's off on Monday morning. We are all in this together and we all want promotion next season then success in the top flight. To fund that the Board will inject £Xm and will seek to raise another £Ym. We are encouraging the Support to help. We are keeping ST prices as affordable as we believe we can and the prices are [insert numbers]. 35000 STs after tax will generate £Zm to help fund the football objective next season. Can also advise that we have come to an amicable arrangement with Ally McCoist and Kenny McDowell which sees their contracts terminated today. Never going to happen without a settlement. Why should it? A contract's a contract. We remain in discussion with Mike Ashley and will report back on the outcome at a later time. We remain optimistic that it is in SD's and Rangers' best commercial interests to rebalance the commercial contracts.Let's make next season a memorable one for all the right football reasons.
  4. You'd hope so but I'm sorry to say I don't have much faith that King has planned that far ahead. Think back to around the EGM when Llambias asked about whether he had a NOMAD in place. I'm just not convinced that he's thought it all out as much as he should. Could be wrong but if it's not to be McCall, the board ought to have given him their thanks today and moved right on.
  5. Arses should have been singing about Hibs who (a) are their enemies and (b) were the only ones with a chance of catching them. Flattery in a way that they chose to have a go at Rangers.
  6. He's been at most of the games with BT Sport so should have an in-depth understanding of who doesn't deserve a place. Large scale changes for Sunday needed to make his mark for the run in.
  7. He needed to make his statement in the first couple of games. Drop McCulloch, Boyd and all the other shite. Replace them with 17 year olds - they're not going to play any worse after all and the results couldn't be much worse.
