Going to be intersting to see how we respond, not just to the defeat on Tuesday, but the general dip over the last three games. Morton are likely to attempt similar tactics to Livingston and Dumbarton so it'll be up to us to counteract these. If it's just a case of doing Plan A better, let's hope the players can collectively raise their game.

I'm interested to see how Ball would fare in the role.

They're young kids here to learn. There will always be games like that for 18 and 19 year-olds - it's just part of the curve. But we don't have to play them. We could return to a midfield four of Holt, Halliday, Law and McKay with Miller alongside Waghorn up front. We were getting results with that side before either kid arrived.

All of that I don't have an issue with. I suspect that's true of most. It's the gardening leave business that's left people angered and confused, IMO. I know this has been throttled to death, but Durrant ducking the issue in promoting the idea his mate deserves a hero's reception is just taking the piss. I come from the position that McCoist knows exactly what he's doing here. I don't buy the idea he's misjudged anything. He wanted the money - money the club could ill afford to part with - and screw what anyone thinks about that. A hero? Nah.

So, Durrant thinks McCoist should be able to rob the cash strapped club blind, terminate his contract only once he has another job lined up, and still receive a hero's welcome next time he rolls up at the ground? Maybe it's not a lack of intelligence that's hindered Durrant, but a predilection for mind altering substances.

I'm going to go for Yes.

Nice to be on a site where there's threads that actually discuss this subject without being incessantly chopped. Ultimately the damage has been done. Rightly or wrongly, the man's tainted his image amongst a substantial percentage of the support. Whether he cares or not is perhaps the more pertinent question.
