The Rangers Supporters Trust held a meeting on Thursday evening with the Rangers Chairman Mr David Murray and the Chief Executive Mr Martin Bain. The Trust delegation comprised Vice-Chairman Scott McMIllan and Trust Board member David Edgar.Amongst the topics of concern to our members, the Trust raised specific questions regarding the strengthening of the player pool in the January transfer window and the recent fining of the club by UEFA due to a pitch invasion by a politically-motivated individual. The Trust also called for a robust stance with regard to the recent round of hysteria concerning anti-social behaviour in sports grounds, and urged the club to promote and defend our unique heritage and culture whilst also presenting to the world the reality of Ibrox being one of the safest and family friendly grounds in Europe. Thank goodness someone is there to stand up for us and say that it is not bigoted hatred to fly the Union flag and so on. Ibrox is a great place, we've all enjoyed some memorable days there. Best wishes to the RST as they try to stand up for the rest of us.
