I hope we start to see Candeias phased out, starting Tuesday. Once Arfield is back it will likely be him and Ojo in the first team with Hastie, Jones and Stewart competing for the places. Something is gnawing at me telling me we need another player with a decent pedigree in there come the end of the window.

This guy will be a player, of that I have little doubt. Him and Kamara look tidy together and Aribo just needs a bit of confidence - playing at Ibrox for the first time was likely a bit daunting.

Barisic is the better player and his left foot is genuine quality. But what the fuck is it with the timidity in is his play? He can’t go on like that.

Defoe is the most intelligent player in the country, by far. He’s also more generous in his play with others. The team plays more cohesively when he’s in. Morelos will go on to bigger things no doubt but he doesn’t start for me on Tuesday.

He did look a bit fazed I agree. But I saw some potential for a decent relationship with Kamara. Some guys just don’t get phased. Say what you like about Stewart for instance but he looks very sure himself.

He’s a trier who covers every blade of grass and has some nice bits of footwork. But he doesn’t look capable of hurting teams. Still don’t think he’s our level.
