  1. Burke did nothing but flatter to deceive yet again. To be fair you could say that about the whole team. We hardly created a clear cut chance, until we got a lucky deflection, with the possible exception of Novo's header first half. After we got the goal we seemed to act like the job was done. Unprofessional. What was Smith thinking in hooking Novo? Maybe he was injured.

  2. what exactly did Barry do that was treachorous?

nobody got an answer for this then?

Thanks for your response Danny, I didn't see anything reported in the red tops that could be construed as treachorous, but I'm prepared to stand corrected if someone wants to point it out.

Just don't like people making claims against our players without backing it up with any evidence

Agreed. If you have an accusation against any of our players, back it up with proof rather than rhetorical opinion.

The only player I had a grievance with was Clement, and that was with evidence; his slaggings of us in the press. Thankfully he f*cked off soon after.

So you take what Clement was reported to have said in but not the stuff that showed 'Barry' in a bad light? What about Kris 'six fingers' Boyd? Not a matter of conjecture with him is it? He openly dissed the manager of Rangers FC...you have any problem with that?

  3. Nir Levin had a go at our captain today by accusing him of showing less motivation under PLG than he has under Smith. This is clearly fishing for a response, and doesn't deserve one.

I love pre-Euro ties' mind games don't you?

These people should keep their mouths shut and worry about their own players.

Wouldn't surprise me if he was right though...what do you think?

I think Barry was the ONLY player (other than Smith) motivated under PLG. And it was their love for the club which caused said motivation. Even lions like Dado looked disillusioned at times.

I have typed out several replies to that but scrubbed them all. There's little point in me getting myself banned over this.

I wonder what could possibly have got you banned!?

I was so angry at the time that a lot of abuse was leaving my keyboard so I thought better to leave it. To not thinkthat Ferguson was treacherous is one thing but to actually suggest that he was worthy of special praise during that period is beyond belief.

    Believe it, baby ;)

I don't think even you could truly believe that.

  4. what exactly did Barry do that was treachorous?

Nothing unreported in any salacious red top.

It's amusing; some bears STILL side with PLG even though he was caught red handed in the act of lying.

    Make me chuckle.

I don't side with PLG if your referring to me. I suppose you think 'Barry' is a hero because the spokesman from his clinic telt you so.

  5. Well actually your right because if some of the players mentioned previously are legends then you might as well say they all are as some people obviously think the term means very little.

    What an extraordinarily arrogant post.

Why is it arrogant? I'm only giving my opinion and not arrogantly claiming to speak for Rangers supporters.

  6. if only he would have a crack at goal more often then Ferguson would be the complete midfield player

I've never understood why he's not very good at shooting (not that he has a go that often). I think he should try passing it into the goal rather than trying to force it. Having said that he's bound to score from 25 yards tonight.

  7. -------------------McGregor

    HUTTON-----WEIR---SVENSSON---MURRAY

    ----------------HEMDANI

    ---------BURKIE---BARRY---ADAM

    ------------NOVO----BOYDIE

But wtf do I know? lol

The world famous Glasgow Rangers to triumph 2-0 (at least)

    Boyd/Barry to score.

You got to laugh...usually you could have a discussion over the team but I don't know if we've got much else else available other than those you mentioned.

I love pre-Euro ties' mind games don't you?

Should ban him from eating Monster Munch, see how he likes it!

    (clap)

Barry's best game of the year was against Macabi Haifa. Guy's an idiot for winding up our captain!

I fell a real gubbin comin on

I think his goal against Molde at Ibrox was a high point of the season...I love that kind of team goal. showed Sionko is capable as well. Let's hope for something like that tonight.

  10. Well actually what intellect I have was telling me that you couldn't surely have a such gargantuan opinion of your own worth that you'd consider yourself the spokesman for all Rangers fans. Obviously I was wrong.

You're wrong, yeah, but not in the way you think.

Yes I consider myself a Rangers fan but at the same time I'm not one of 'us' so maybe I don't qualify eh?
Are you actually trying to dig your own grave in this debate?
As for my argument being about semantics...I don't see that at all. I've just argued that Ferguson is not good enough to hold legendary status as a player and then there is his failings as a captain and professional.

That is by no means the only thing you've said in this debate.

An answer where you atually say sweet fanny Adams. Are you now saying that 'us' did not mean Rangers fans?

  13. Yes you have misconstrued. Not being smug just giving my opinion. Still, if we are talking smug...tell me, you said Ferguson is already a legend to 'us'...who are these 'us' you speak for?
Us = Rangers fans. I thought your gargantuan intellect would have fathomed that one? Do you not consider yourself a Rangers fan? You can always disagree on the claim that he's a legend, but your argument has plundered pure semantics, which is the sign of a weak case.

Well actually what intellect I have was telling me that you couldn't surely have a such gargantuan opinion of your own worth that you'd consider yourself the spokesman for all Rangers fans. Obviously I was wrong.

  14. Klos is finished, great keeper who has been f*cked with injuries over the last few years. Will be good to eventually get him off the wage bill.

agree with u there, he'll be earning a fair wack!

He's our highest paid player by all accounts. Great shame how it's ended for him at the club.

  15. I think Barry had the potential to be one of the greatest legends of this club. However his decision to leave us in the lurch just after he had signed a new contract has seriously impacted on that potential.

Also I think his involvement in the PLG debacle has furthered harmed his standing amongst the fans.

He may well go on to become a legend in modern terms...but he will never achieve the legendary status which was once his destiny.

The two incidents you mention should automatically disqualify him IMO, never mind the fact that he's not that exceptional a player and that he's no great professional. I think your use of the phrase 'modern terms' could be a clue. Seems that the 'modern' idea of what warrants the accolade 'legend' is very different to what it was.

  16. it could open the door for someone like Rory Loy, he's got to be banging on the door with his record for the reserves.

That's the third time I've seen someone say that...what is his record?

    under 19's rather than reserves:

Rory Loy: Apps 11, Goals 13

Steven Lennon Apps 15, Goals 12

That's pretty good. I'm usually up with these things but have stopped watching RTV where I used to see quite a lot of the youngsters.
