I'm surprised you can even read. Do you have a monkey that does it for you, because it certainly looks that way.

    I feel your pain.

Good post.  It always amazes me when people come in and say 'I'm to stupid to read that'; or words to that effect.

That 4m was based off the back of one outstanding performance, against Arsenal in the FA cup way back in 2006ish.

Was live on BBC1 and he was unknown before that game, but played an absolute blinder!

Reminds me of Justin Fahsanu.  Scored a Goal of the Season on MotD and Clough payed £1,000,000 for him (a fortune at the time).  I always thought it obvious he was never a premier division player.

Fully expect to be called a taig for this but...

Celtic count their league titles during the First World War as the league and football in general operated as normal, whereas we don't count our during the Second World War as leagues were suspended and split into regional division which weren't designed to be competitive but to give the fans something to look forward to during the war time.

Their titles are counted (by all) during WWI because they were official.  There were no Scottish championships during WWII so there's  nothing to count . We are not Tims, although you wouldn't know it going by the constant whining on these forums.

When Fod touched the ball it was on the line so no free kick.

It was difficult to say, with the poor replays, when WF first touched the ball as he had his hands around to ball (without touching) for a second or so before hand.  Can't see how anyone can say it was a definite free-kick, let alone red card.

I counted about 80 that have credentials to be there, but I agree there are plenty that should not I think the problem is with the criteria that's in place to become a Hall of Fame inductee; for example, Jim Forrest who scored 145 goals in 163 appearances from 1962-1967 is not there while Ray Wilkins who only played 96 games from 1987-1989 is an inductee, which to me is fucking ludicrous.

I agree; Wilkins is the perfect example of a player who shouldn't be close to such an honour.

Imo that's a good way of looking at it, Gascoignes a weird one as hes arguably the best player I've ever seen play for us but he was only here 3 years, but on the other hand he was only at Tottenham, NUFC and Lazio for short spells. Do they consider Gazza a legend too? And if so then how many clubs can you be considered a legend at considering how short a career it is.

I do agree that Rangers being their "main" Club should play a part.

I also don't think players should be inducted till long after they've retired once time has passed and you can look back at their time once their out of the picture so to speak.

I'm 27 and id probably consider Gazza a legend but I reckon some older Bears won't.  The fact that legend worthy players have been few and far between recently maybe makes me look at some players with tinted glasses.

I don't consider Novo a legend really,  don't think one or two important goals make you a legend, I also lived abroad during most of his time at Ibrox so only saw him play in the flesh a few times.  I'd class him as a Rangers Great or a hero or whatever you want to call the level below "legend" and that's where Miller goes too imo.

We all know who the real legends are, the likes of Greig,  McCoist, Cooper, Jock Wallace.  These men are a level above most Gers that are called legends no need to water down the hall of fame.

    Also no catholics

I'm a bit biased as I'm probably the only one here who hated Rangers signing the man-child. I think you can be a legendary player though but not qualify for Hall of Fame status.  I also wouldn't let bigotry play a part in any decision; doesn't matter to me what flavour mumbo-jumbo a player happened to be born in to/ indoctrinated in.

Would you like to elaborate who these "dozen men" should be?...Serious question here and worth debating.

The likes of Gray, Miekleljohn, Greig, Jardine, Morton.  A dozen is just off of the top of my head and perhaps a bit low but there should be a high bar and not only based on the quality of the player.  No place for the likes of Butcher or Gascoigne for example.  Rangers is not the main club of their career for starters and I don't think either was here long enough.

    Both reds.

If you could make a case for any of them being just a yellow though then it would be McDonald's imo.

I thought that at first but from the rear angle I think McDonald tried to hurt Miller when he realised he was going to lose possession.  MOH was tackling high, tried to flick the ball but missed and left his foot high. Very reckless and deserved a red card but not as bad as McDonald's as there was no intent.

  9. I never loved the man-child. Disliked him before he signed for Rangers and was gutted when it happened. The time he needed help was decades ago but he was just seen as 'daft as a brush' rather than having severe issues. Sad.

Can think of plenty where we weren't the best!

    Point is, we're scraping by.

There aren't many we deserved to win by a barrowload, either.

I can't think of any games that we weren't the better team and still won.  There were a good few we dominated and lost points. The only game we were perhaps a bit lucky was at Partick and they didn'y play nearly as well as ICT.
