I don't know about anyone else, but it appears to me this guy is totally clueless. To be perfectly honest, he's riding his luck with some pretty dodgy results (SPL and CL). We might not win the league this year, but I predict we will GUB them the next 2 games and all 4 next season after we win the league by a mile (07/08). This season, we will close the gap. Not only does Strachan laugh at his own jokes (probably because no one else does), he just looks like an arse. Believe me, I'm not bitter. This is an objective evaluation of the man. Clueless. Didn't someone post today that WGS thought Naka was the MOTM? Geez peace. (Wonder what Boruc thought of that?) So, to answer my own question -- he really is as daft as he appears.

I know he made a bad mistake -- but also made 2 fantastic saves early in the second half to keep us in there. Boruc was brilliant and was helped by the post brothers and some pretty poor finishing. Maybe I'm overreacting here, but his statements about a Captain's role being overrated in Scotland compared to France is out of order. Barry is quite right to hit back to him although don't agree that the press is the way to go about it. PLG needs to wake up and realize that he's in Scotland -- not France. We just happen to be different. The footie is different as well and much better than he thought. If it comes down to a battle between PLG and Barry -- PLG might win the day because as he says -- and quite arrogantly -- 'I'm the boss'. Well PLG that you might be, but Barry has done more for this club than you will ever do. As I said, PLG needs to start showing Scotland, Rangers anf the support some respect. If he's so great, how come we're in third place - 16 points adrift of them. I'm furious with him. If it's up to me?

Right now, Barry is by far (imho) the best player in Scotland. And easily one of the 3 best midfielders in Britain (Lampard -- overrated, and Gerrard). Bazza is world class and can take a team on his shoulders and make a difference. Look at the Villareal game (away leg). Totally outplayed Riquelme. And to make it even better, he bleeds blue.
