  1. So, my ancient computer monitor went down the other day and I need a new one. I'm looking to upgrade to a 24" LCD monitor but the only prob is that there are so bloody many to choose from. Basically I'll be using it for normal PC stuff, watching films and playing my Xbox 360. The two I've been drawn to are... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Widecsreen...ef=pd_rhf_p_t_2 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Viewsonic-24-inch-...p;s=electronics The only difference I can see is the samsung is 16:10 (1900 x 1200) and has no speakers. I can actually get the Viewsonic for cheaper but was wondering what people thought. Any help would be great, like I said, I wanna hook my Xbox 360 up to it too. Cheers.

  4. anyone know where there's a place to leave bags in manchester til after the game e.g. 24 hour lockers. I dont really fancy carrying a bag around the city centre all day esp when i'm in the fanzones. somewhere within walking distance of the fanzones. help appreciated!
  5. may have to give the kilt a miss then. in sheffield 2moro and i'll see how cold/warm it is at night and then decide. cannae wait!!!
  6. I have no accommodation in Manchester and will have to wait until the morning to get the train! I hear its reasonably mild through the night, someone back me up on this cos i'll just be in my Rangers top and kilt. I've a feeing you cant sleep in the train station but how about the parks? Or think we'll get into any clubs til late? Or is it just an all night party in the city centre?
  7. so if u can drink in the public squares, can u buy booze from an off license and drink it in these squares and fanzones?
  8. (http://www.manchester.gov.uk/site/scripts/news_article.php?newsID=3628) UEFA Cup Final fans WILL see match on big screens Published Thursday 8th May 08 in Leisure, libraries and culture news Fans in Manchester for the UEFA Cup Final WILL get the chance to watch the match on big outdoor screens at fan zones. Screens will be placed at key places in the city centre - Albert Square and Piccadilly Gardens - adding to the thousands of chances to see the match already provided by pubs and clubs. There will be no screens at or near the City of Manchester Stadium. Manchester City Council's spokesman on the city centre, Councillor Pat Karney, said: "Manchester is looking forward to welcoming fans from Rangers FC and from FC Zenit St Petersburg for a day to remember on 14 May. "Our city is well used to friendly invasions of many thousands of visitors for major events like the UEFA Cup Final. "Fans zones with entertainment and access to food and drink throughout the day have always been part of our plans for this event. "In the light of Rangers qualifying for the final and the massive reported demand from fans for bigger and better provision, we've arranged for big outdoor screens for fans to watch the match. "Pubs and clubs across the city will also provide opportunities for many thousands of fans to enjoy the match and soak of the atmosphere of the big day. "I'm confident that Manchester will give a very warm welcome to fans from Rangers and from Zenit and that all fans will have a fabulous day." Detailed information about fan zones, travel and parking arrangements will be available through the Council's website www.manchester.gov.uk within the next few days.
