    Samp Ultras crash training

    Sampdoria’s morning training session was interrupted as Ultras protested at yesterday’s hammering against Milan.

    The Blucerchiati followed a dire 2-0 defeat at Catania with a 5-0 thrashing against the Rossoneri and the pressure is mounting on boss Walter Mazzarri.

    Doria were playing five-a-side matches when around 20 fans arrived and began to heckle the players at the Mugnaini centre in Bogliasco.

    The discontented supporters’ fury was assuaged when the players and coaching staff discussed their grievances and they left after demanding a win over Cagliari this weekend.

    Mad as f*ck!

    ... if they think the players'll play better wi their pants full at the weekend, they are sadly mistaken!

    CIS Cup Draw Embarassment

    Statement from the Scottish Football League - CIS draw correction:

    The Scottish Football League today confirmed that there was an error in the CIS Insurance Cup Semi-final Draw held today at the Scottish Parliament.

    The balls were drawn 2, 4, 1 and 3, which should have corresponded to the following ties:

    Aberdeen (Ball 2) vs. (Ball 4) Dundee United

    Rangers (Ball 1) vs. (Ball 3) Hearts

    The numbers drawn were not correctly announced. Two of the numbers were transposed inadvertently by the Presiding Officer, Alex Fergusson MSP.

    The Presiding Officer apologised for the error. “This was a genuine error and I can only apologise for the confusion caused.

    “We have worked as quickly as possible with the Scottish Football League to resolve the situation.

    “As a life long Stranraer fan I think everyone can be assured that there was no ulterior motive.â€

    David Longmuir, Chief Executive of the Scottish Football League said,

    “The Scottish Football League has a duty to the teams involved to correct the error and to protect the integrity of the draw.â€

    “The four clubs involved have all been informed of the error and the correct draw.â€

    The correct draw is as follows:-

    Aberdeen v Dundee United

    Rangers v Hearts

    Dates for ties.

    Semi-Finals:- Tuesday 29th or Wednesday 30th January, 2008

    Final :- Sunday 16th March, 2008

    So what is the overall place then? We will make sure the flag makes it :)

    Playa catalunya is basically George Square without a few bars...ok to congregate, no good for drinking... we'll be passing by on the way to drinking around Playa Reial (just off the main la Rambla strip...) Staying round the corner from here in the Barro Gothic quarter ... which is great for bars for those coming for a couple of nights...

    Be aware Barca doesn't start to really kick in until midnight ... most clubs open till dawn..

    Wish us luck we're putting ourselves through 4 nights of this hell!!

    Haha you never know.

    There is also only 1 bar across from Placa de Catalunya. There are better places to meet IMO.

    Just tell El Corte Ingles to get plenty of drink in and we'll take it from there......

    ... sorry boys...we're out there from the weekend, so there's no chance of any booze being left by the time you all arrive!

    (... and the girl's may all be a wee bit tired out then too!!)

    ...ditto that big man... he is right up with the very best...good to see Scotland generating some brilliant keepers right now!

    (used to be that our keepers were a laughing stock ... yesterday I heard two English commentators saying how much they'd like Gordon on their team...)

    When we get a score draw at the nou camp it'll put us top of our group as it is head to head games when teams level on points and then we are quite capable of beating Stutgart and Lyon so we will win the group, then get a team who finish 2nd in theirs, which means no arsenal chelsea or man as they will win their groups If you win your group you get to play 2nd leg at home in the last 16 so we will l be in last 8 of champions league nae bother. we are already the first scottish team to get through to last 16 so we will be the first to get to last 8 as well.

    Some people found the post confusing.. please see the original text below which seems clear enough and was intended to make sure everyone knows the score..

    I know a lot of bears will have got tickets for the Barca game off-allocation and therefore won't be in the wee sheep pen they were kind enough to give us for this game...got the following message (from ticket provider) at weekend..

    "This match has been qualified as a HIGH RISK game and due UEFA rules it is completely forbidden the entrance to the Camp Nou area with flags, shirts, scarves or any other emblem of the GLASGOW RANGERS. The tickets provided are in the Fc Barcelona section and the security team has the right to deny the access to the Stadium if they consider it necessary to avoid any kind of troubles."

    It was inevitable that there would be a massive overspill of Gers fans and a better allocation would have helped ensure minimum risk by placing supporters next to their own. No Rangers fans want conflict, but do want to be able to support their team in full technicolour.

    It's also clear there was limited interest in this game from Barca fans right up until they found themselves neck and neck with us and I'm sure that the stadium will still be surrounded by touts with bundles of tickets making a killing. I certainly didn't want to pay the prices I've had to ...
