Tried to make it very clear that this referred to non Gers sections, but the point is that because of the tiny allocation we were given it is obvious that there is now going to be thousands of us spread all over the ground... I'm not going to turn up without ma top & scarf anyway... I'm there to support the team...

I booked the tickets through an online agent representing the ticket company www.sportsemotions.com
(market a whole range of tickets online)
The warning message sent through came directly from them to all purchasers of their tickets for this match and was sent in Spanish English & French...

All I've done is pass on the message I got sent on Saturday guys... and I'm not planning on goin to the game without ma colours anyway... they'll just have to take them off ma back!

...well I've supposedly bought two cat 2 tickets which are to be delivered to the apartment we're renting (Spanish address needed) ... but I'll wait until they're in my mitts before I count ma chickens!

I know a lot of bears will have got tickets for the Barca game off-allocation and therefore won't be in the wee sheep pen they were kind enough to give us for this game...got the following message (from ticket provider) at weekend..
"This match has been qualified as a HIGH RISK game and due UEFA rules it is completely forbidden the entrance to the Camp Nou area with flags, shirts, scarves or any other emblem of the GLASGOW RANGERS. The tickets provided are in the Fc Barcelona section and the security team has the right to deny the access to the Stadium if they consider it necessary to avoid any kind of troubles."
..hope they don't take ma kilt as well!...

phew!... thanks for the info justiston!...I'd just done a web search for Scottish Bars.. if you know the local area it'd be good to know if there's anything better...seems BCN is packed wi bloody shamrock bars !

Some people found the post confusing.. please see the original text below which seems clear enough and was intended to make sure everyone knows the score..

It was inevitable that there would be a massive overspill of Gers fans and a better allocation would have helped ensure minimum risk by placing supporters next to their own. No Rangers fans want conflict, but do want to be able to support their team in full technicolour.
It's also clear there was limited interest in this game from Barca fans right up until they found themselves neck and neck with us and I'm sure that the stadium will still be surrounded by touts with bundles of tickets making a killing. I certainly didn't want to pay the prices I've had to ...
