As the Fleck u-turn showed, that whole story involving english agents is a cloudy affair and we don't know the facts behind Wilson's decision - if it was even his! I've heard from a very reliable source about the Wilson deal, and I'm not surprised he turned it down first time, especially given that from next year he'll be a first choice centre back. And the Fleck u-turn? What was this? Slight exaggeration perhaps - apparently kid knew nothing of supposed contract rebuttal, and wants to stay a Ranger and has set his agents onto the task.

He had a couple of golden weeks when he made one or two hollow comments about the "treatment of Rangers fans" but other than that the guy's a waste of space - and, more importantly, money.

You're forgetting that the cash freed up from losing Mendes' wages will only help the chances of signing Wilson and Fleck on new deals - hugely important for us in the long term.

Get a grip - we're close to weathering the storm of the injury crisis we had with some key players close to a return. As players come back we will only get stronger and with a 10 point lead in our pocket we shouldnt be worried.

It doesnt annoy me as Mendes hasnt featured for so long I've forgotten what he brought to us! Yes he scores the occasional stunner, but if i recall, the second half of 08/09, when he did play, we were always moaning he was going missing in games! As far as i recall his legs seemed to go or he lost his appetite for it all. Either way - I don't think we'll miss him. If Davis is missing, the attacking creative midfielder role I believe could be filled by John Fleck - he's got the vision to pick a pass, and he has pace and drive as well. It wouldnt be ideal perhaps but im sure Fleck could contribute as positively as a lacklustre half-injured Mendes

If Robbie Keane is such a great player - why has Harry Redknapp considered him dispensible during their chase for the Champs League spot, the most important few months Spurs have had in years? Keane has failed since his return to Spurs. Keane failed at Liverpool.
