  1. In case you didnt know, on Sunday, River Plate and Boca Juniors are going to play another Superclasico. I thought you might wanna know. Try to get some links to watch the game. Look at this video from the last Superclasico:
  2. Hello. Ive been absent for a while because I was very busy studying for university, so I couldnt write any messages. Congratulations for your 52º league!!! You are, by far, the most winning club in the world!! River Plate is sixth in the Argentinian tournament, and far away from winning the title. It is good news for me that Rangers is the champion again. I am very happy for you all, Rangers fans. Hope one day I can visit Scotland and see a match at Ibrox. Bye.
  3. What a disaster!!!!! Argentina played awfully. But he city is in the middle of a mountain, there is a lot of altitude.
  4. Well, when Maradona assumed as the coach, that was a criticism made to that decision. How has he done so far with the games? Only one I know of was his 2-0 debut at Hampden. Under his coaching, Argentina beat Scotland 1-0 and France 2-0. Next Saturday, Argentina plays against Venezuela for 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
  5. Well, when Maradona assumed as the coach, that was a criticism made to that decision.
  6. Why do you say that? We have a player here at Rangers named Kris Boyd, our top goalscorer. The manager of the Scottish national team decided not to play him and this started a long feud which ended in a big argument and Boyd quitting the country's team. Similar thing. Jajaj yes i know Boyd. Scottish people in general supports Boyd or the manager?
  7. He is talking about Riquelme. He is saying that he will never return to the national team as long as he is the coach. That he has a lot of players to think about and choose. But he is also sorry, as he claims that "his dream was to be Riquelme`s coach". He also said that he resented the fact that Boca fans sang songs supporting Riquelme and insulting Maradona last Sunday, and the flags Boca fans displayed last game on Sunday, insulting him and supporting Riquelme. I assume you know that Maradona played in Boca and was, at least two weeks ago, the maximum idol for almost every Boca fan. If you are not much aware of the situation, I will explain it to you: Maradona, on a TV show, criticized Riquelme for his low performances. So, Riquelme, out of anger, quit to the national team, and by TV, also. So, a mediatic fight begun on TV, newspapers and radio, about who was right. There were a lot of people who supported Maradona (almost everyone in the country) and the ones who supported Riquelme (Boca fans). I dont support anyone. Riquelme was playing awful but Maradona should have told them what he thought on private, not on TV. You dont know Maradona as I know him, British people. Argentineans eat Maradona, breath Maradona, see Maradona on TV, listen to him on the radio, watch his face on the TV. The goal he scored to the English in 1986, the second goal, I have seen it so many times I know it by hard, even the name of the English players who wanted to tackle him in that goal. Maradona is not a balanced person. First of all, he was a drug addict, so he does not have much of his brain left. But what I mean is that he always have to be "in the eye of the storm", is like a neccesity to him. He has to be the best, like back in 80s, or the worst, like back in 90s, where he almost dies. I wish the best for him as a coach and I think he is the best player of history, but I am afraid it will be not the only fight or scandal we will have from Maradona.
  8. Why is it you're interested in Rangers? River have had so many quality players in my lifetime, don't know where to start listing them. Always enjoy watching Argentinian football highlights on the tv. I said it before but I dont have any problem to repeat it jaja. I met Rangers when I played with it at FIFA 08. I liked the team, so I started to watch videos in YouTube and started to read about its rich history. So, I became interested in Rangers.
  9. There was another thread on this but I repeat what I said in there. My heart is only of River Plate. But as for Rangers, I really like the team and like to support it. Not as the way I do with River, but now I am trying to be aware of things that happen to Rangers, try to watch the games by the Internet, but if not, I found out the results, read commentaries about the games and watch highlights. I also like Real Madrid and Liverpool. But less than Rangers uk.gif In Argentina there are like 100 to 160 football clubs, all spreaded in 8 divisions: A, B Nacional, B Metropolitana, C, D, Torneo Argentino A, Torneo Argentino B and Torneo Argentino C. Most of the fans of clubs from B Nacional to Torneo Argentino C, fans from clubs from those seven divisions and some fans of the weaker clubs of A Division usually are from two teams: their teams and one of the Big Five: River, Boca, Independiente, Racing and San Lorenzo. Mostly from Boca and River. Thats why is very common in Argentina, especially in the provinces, that people who are fan of a weak team from lower divisions support two clubs: the one they love, which is usually the one of their province or the one of their neighbourhood, and one of the Big Five, especially Boca or River. Of course, fans of one of the clubs of the Big Five only support their club. It is impossible to see a fan of River and Independiente, or Racing or San Lorenzo, at the same time.
  10. Which other Scottish teams, apart from Celtic, you dislike? We, River fans, apart from Boca, we hate a team called San Lorenzo. We also dislike Independiente.
  11. Cough....that's Rangers and Celtic, not Celtic and Rangers. Sorry, my bad.
  12. Why Rangers doesnt try to buy South American players, which play in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay or Chile? They are easily affordable and they do not demand a very high salary.

I dont know if something similar happens here. For example, there is a fan of Inverness who also follows Rangers.
