time to end thread. the point im trying to make has gone clean over yer head. I don;t think many people cared if Ally Mccoist worked very hard during a game. All they cared about was did he score and get us a victory.( not trying to put Boyd in the same category) but goalscorers are paid to score.
i dont think every person other than yourself could miss a poin if it was a valid one, ur just talking utter shite, pure and simple

after pleading with WS to play him in a Champions League game this really can be a showpiece game for Boydy tomorrow. He can not have anything less than a 1 goal performance and it must lead us to a win if he has a future with us....thoughts

Well the truth is that if he wants to be taken seriously as a top notch player by Rangers fans, scoring a hattrick against Motherwell and not even being in the team in the CL shows that he needs to elevate his game. As for the ultimatum, Boyd is a goalscorer..that is pretty much all he does...so he better score tomorrow if he plays.. don't see a problem with this comment

Wouldnt say he needs to score mate but I think he needs to put in a phenomenal shift to silence the critics, scoring would undoubtedly help but I think as long as we win and boyd plays his part then we'll be happy. Its the biggest game he'll have started for Rangers, He said before that if he started and when he hears that champions league music he'll think he's finally made it. Lets hope he goes out and shows us exactly what he can do. MON THE GERS!!!

If it was that easy anyone could score 30 goals a season for us, but they don't, why do you think that is? Perhaps it is due to the decent finisher making the run to leave an easy finish. Perhaps it is because he scores some bloody hard goals as well, Partick Thistle away, Motherwell at home last year, SC final v QOS, etc, etc. Perhaps he is the only one who has the bollocks to stand up and score a penalty at Tynecastle when he had only been on the park for 60 seconds. I hear a lot od stuff said about Boyd but this 'laid on a plate for him' just takes the piss. End of.

I dont think Boyd has scored 30 goals a season for us but if he did its because he is the only proper out and out striker we have had in years
he's a shocking footballer - the odd decent goal here and there wont change it. Lee McCulloch has scored some screamers as well
scored 31 last season. and how many games has mcculloch won us the game? kenny miller and nacho novo are worse footballers than kris boyd. They have absolutely no composure and goalscoring ability is minimal.

Starring role and did nothing. Vanished in the 2nd half. Not prepared to take a man on as he wants to pass the buck as he knows himself he is not good enough.
wrong. davis is more than good enough for rangers. great vision, range of passing and unbelievable work ethic. The problem is the movement in front of him, he'll be thinkin how to split a defence open but the player wont make the right run, the movement in the rangers team, especially the forward line is horrific.

where u watchin the same game? mcculloch gave away possesion almost every time he got the ball! he scored a jammy goal but done fuk all else, and whittaker played well too? caught out of position all the fukcin time. We could give pass marks to mcgregor, wilson, weir, davis and maybe naismith, the rest were not good enough but those 3 mentioned were the worst.

I dont think mcculloch protected the back four at all. He was meant to be sweeping up the scraps and was nowhere to be seen half the time, and awful when he did get the ball. Should never have started.

he provided good cover thats why they never really threatened and could only score with a wonder strike.
he just played the simple pass when he got the ball so i dont know what your talking about.
I think you just dont like him and just blame him for everything like almost everyone else on here.
I DONT like mcculloch but the reason is because he is pish, in the team purely on how friendly he is with walter smith! I watched all 93 terrible minutes on the tv and all i could do was laugh when mcculloch scored because i had been screamin at walter to sub him for the whole game.

walter will never play 4-4-2 , if he plays wilson then mcculloch is definetly going to be in the holding role

just realised someones put up a similar post, smith said that the system will be changed tomorrow, i really do think Boyd will Start if we're playing 4-4-2. I'd love to see boydy score in the champions league

Boyd has started away to harder teams in Europe and done well and the partnership of Boyd and Miller seems to be getting back to its best a little so we could see it, but I think the general consensus among fans is that boyd will drop out of sundays team and Mcculloch will step into midfield
Thats wat im worried about as well, mcculloch is pish, doesnt bring anythin to the team apart from giving away daft free kicks!
I cant see him starting lafferty either tho, think if its gonna be 5 in midfield he'll play Naismith LM, Thomson LCM, McCulloch CDM, Davis RCM and Rothen RM.. U know wat smiths like man!
We have never played 2 up front from the start in a champions league game with smith in charge, lets give it a go 2morro! nothing to lose!

Does anyone think smith will play a 4-4-2 from kick off tomorro? I think he could surprise us and play boyd and miller upfront, its a must win and 4-1-4-1 has done nothing for us this season especially
