  6. As day breaks on another glamour Champions League tie at Ibrox, this time against probably the world's most famous Club in Manchester United, it's always nice to let our thoughts drift back for a bit to 1872. Back to when a few kids came to Glasgow seeking their fame and fortune. It wasn't long before they set about, purely through the love of football, forming their own club, The Rangers. It was their collective will and determination to succeed that ensured that The Rangers would be there for future generations to enjoy. We have much to thank them for. From humble beginnings on Fleshers Haugh. To here. Take a bow lads.
  7. I've yet to find a website or users that is/are 100% welcoming. However, it won't deter us getting the Founders story out to the majority who are.
  8. The response to the book offer has so far been fantastic. All orders will be posted over the weekend. Also, thank you for the kind words sent.
  9. 1872. A massive step for the Club and very moving. Our hearfelt thanks to the Club for this tribute to our Founders.
  10. Rangers have today officially announced that 1872 was our year of formation. Read all about it, it's all in the book ! http://www.rangers.co.uk/articles/20101117/stadium-tributes-announced_2254024_2223539

  17. Pretson won the match 8-1, but to be fair they were all professional players. Rangers were really embarrassed about the crowd spilling on to the park, they took a pasting in the press about it.
  18. The match report from the game v Preston North End which opened 1st Ibrox , plus a few other little gems. http://www.thegallantpioneers.co.uk/1887.html

  21. '' Master Broadfoot immediately made a dash for the Celtic goal but was abruptly up-ended. The Umpire immediately awarded a direct kick at the opposition goal to the Rangers which led to much wailing and sobbing from the Celtic fans gathered. This was to last for many days and nights''
  22. Results from recent Founders Research. The style of writing is an absolute joy, in particular from our game v Queens Park. ' Rangers right away made a dash at the Queens Park goal, and with great cleverness sent the ball between the posts amid loud hurrahs'. In here. http://www.thegallantpioneers.co.uk/1884.html
