  1. Thought the Crolla-Matthews was good, stoppage was probably a bit premature but it would have been stopped on that cut anyway IMO.

Was a must win fight for Derry and he delivered. Was good to see he was defensively a bit better on the inside than he was in his last fight. Marsili couldn't miss with his uppercut on the inside when they fought.

Anselmo Moreno is quality. A fight between him and Mares would be excellent, even better would be Moreno v Donaire - elite defence vs elite offence. Unlikely to happen though because of GBP and Top Rank. I think Moreno v Mares will happen end of this year start of next

Not comparing them as fighters, but when I watch Moreno I can't help but think of Pernell Whitaker.

Mares/Donaire would be a better scrap if we're removing promo bullshit, while it lasted.

I really liked the look of Fran Vargas on the under.

  2. Watched fight this morning. Cracking fight and massive upset. Was it just me or did Derry look the much bigger man in there?

Aye, he did look bigger, punched heavier too. Crolla was game as, but he was fairly reckless and paid the price. The stoppage was too soon though.

Mares and Moreno won as well, and should fight each other. Plenty of options in and around super bantam though.

    Just get the fights made.

  3. Has he got twitter? Some should tweet him telling him about the fake leggo

I suspect he'll be getting that tweet in the thousands.

The supposed threat was the only exclusive he had in his whole project up here. He was so sure he was right in the midst of a scandal.

What a total numpty haha, you've got to laugh.

    Brilliant.

  4. A washed up war correspondent whose wife had an affair with his next door neighbour due to him making advances towards their young son.

He is also a member of the AA and has been a practising alcoholic for 30 years, was once banned for calling an Arab a sandshoe dancer.

    Hahhaha.

  5. I don't se why anyone would have thought any different.

They are complaining to UEFA about supposed political interference from Salmond, are they not?

Yes, as pathetic and unbelievable as it may seem Alex Thomson had the proverbial drum roll going for three days on twitter whilst awaiting a response. Only to be told to piss off.

  6. To be honest I'm not too fussed about the new proposals themselves. I would, like most, prefer to exit admin via a cva. If however liquidation it's forced upon us then I'd rather start in d3. Therefore the new proposals, as I understand it are insignificant.

The timing however is deplorable, admin about to announce preferred bidder, cva negotiations looming and overall a critical time on this whole saga.

It is also plain wrong to change administration rules while a member club is in administration, farcical.

  7. Fair play to SRL for the risk he was taking with his eye, but he took another 5 fights after Hagler.

    Lol.

Hagler was Leonards 2nd fight in 5 years and first ever fight at middle. His comments owe more to mind games and typical boxing machismo than admitting he deliberately waited for Hagler to slip.

Duran had 5 months to prepare if he wanted to party that's on him.

These are 2 of the greatest fighters in history your trying to down play.

  8. In fairness, I was being harsh there. He didn't do it to anywhere near the level that Floyd has.

SRL admitted to both forcing an immediate rematch with a weight-drained Duran and waiting until Hagler was past his best. The way he humiliated Duran and how he messed Hagler around for so long is pretty shameful as well.

I think your still being a tad harsh.

If I'm not mistaken there was 5 months between Duran 1&2, hardly taking advantage of a poor soul.

Who do you think was at more of a disadvantage, Hagler who was undisputed middleweight champ, maybe slightly on the slide, or Leonard who was coming back from career threatening eye surgery and a 4 year hiatus?

  9. I notice the OP mentioned Sugar Ray as a shining example but he did his fair share of 'timing' fights just right, just as Floyd does these days.

I don't see what is left to discuss about the sorry mess that is Pac/Mayweather. I believe it will happen, but it is already too late for it to be the great fight it could have been.

At this stage, I reckon Cotto has as much chance of taking rounds off Floyd as Pacquiao.

Eh? Are you insinuating Sugar Ray Leonard cherry picked opportune moments to fight?

Biggest fights v Benitez Prime, Hearns 1 prime, Duran 1&2 prime, v Hagler he cherry picked that fight straight out of a 4 year lay off.

He didn't quite have the cherry picking down.

Ricky is right. It's Money Mayweather who doesn't want the fight at this point.

  10. Not seen those comments for D&P but would that not hint that its been decided against us?

BGT amount needs to be established, TBK not mentioned this, Kennedy not mentioned it and the 9 bid option is newco. The only one that is taking into account the BGT are the Yanks. Biggest bid and been most honest in their intentions. Until i hear from other bidders what happens in that scenario i think we are being played by them using our blue tinted spec's to look on their bids.

HMRC take 20p in the point thats still £10m even if they went for such a hit. TBK can only raise £10m so how can he realistically service that as doubt they would take a big cut in instalments.

Club running at approx £5m season deficit so how do we pay the instalments even if they could be agreed, cutting on the cost of whats on the pitch. TBK where is the money going to come to invest on the field. Kennedy is much the same as TBK i think that he will save the club as last resort but at what cost.

No europe next season, hand tied behind our back by SPL/ SFA penalties, hands tied in paying debts, hands tied as TBK and Kennedy are last resort options who not talking of the cash to take the club forward. The 'well and others will fancy their chances as we are a wounded animal and give a real run for their money.

I am a miserable bastard everyone tells me so, i always look at the what if's and worst case in everything that way I am never really disappointed.

So why is the press, bidders and fans not discussing it and its possible repercussions.

Not looking for anyone to bite, looking for a good argument to put my concerns at rest and hope that we unite to get REAL answers from those involved not just their spin!

It has been stated that a cva will accommodate any hmrc liability and hmrc have apparently indicated that they are willing to play ball. This is maybe a reason why it is not the hot topic you want it to be.

How this also indicates that we've lost the big tax case, you'll have to explain.

  11. The administrators have indicated that hmrc would be willing to do a deal with Rangers, regarding the big tax case, after "regime change".

This would indicate to me that hmrc are willing to accept recompense that wouldn't force liquidation.

What is your thoughts on that demo?

  12. The only thing Goodwillie did wrong was take so long to hit the cunt.

Fucking right, low life Friel blindsides Swanson, Who goes down like something from fightnight round 4, then just casually sips from a bottle.

Goodwillie should have wrecked him right there and then.
