Let's get real here. We may all love Rangers till we die, but if you are a foreign player who wants to further his career, you're not going to want to go play at Rugby Park where the ground is only half full, with the majority being your own fans. Footballers dream of playing on the big stage, so I think Boumsong, Cuellar, Cousin, Mendes etc are right to go on and want to play higher than the SPL. We'd all bite the EPL or Championships hand off if we were invited down south so why is it so bad that players who have football as a career want the same? For Boydy and Wilson the Scots "wantaways", I hold no grudges. they are in fotball to the be the best. that means earning the most money...playing at the highest level. Rangers and the SPL sadly cannot provide this.

if Craigy Gordon went for £7 million (£9-10 million on appearances) then we need to be pushin for that figure because I rate Big Al higher than Gordon. regardless of the world financial state.

you see guys from Scotland goin around in England shirts sayin " United Kingdon, Great Britain lets support England" etc etc. im pretty sure no England fan wears a Scotland top at any point so the idea of Britishness with them is soley English based. . . away from football, the English hate Scotland. They hate how there was a Scottish Prime Minister ( "dour faced Scotsman"). They'd never lambast Cameron as an "Englishman" they hate how we have a say in English politics while having our own parliament. I love Scotland but think if we went independent it would be terrible I also love being British but hate how Scotland is always considered sub-standard to England.

Smith comes from the same school of football that Hutton and Whittaker etc come from. Great for bombin down their wings and puttin in decent balls but they aren't tremendous defensively. Papac gives you a proper defensive left back. He does do his quality runs some times, skinnin guys all over, but at the end of the day he's a good defender and drifts into the centre to cover when Bougherra steps out.
