They must have done i guess Seemingly he cant get a game for our under 20's yet we let Gasparatto away and he gets picked up by Falkirk right away not saying he's good enough for us either but there are some strange decisions being made at Rangers.

Elfideldo said that despite being older when you compared Gasparatto to Ball's level last year it was clear that Gasparatto wasn't Rangers level. I presume it wasn't his defensive ability but more how he was with the ball at his feet and overall as a footballer.

Bates would have shown he may have had the potential ability to fit what our Gaffer is after for a CH in the future. Bare in mind Smalling started at a low level. There's no much strange a low risk loan to take a closer look at a player.

I do agree some of our summer signings didn't fit the type we should have signed for our system but I place blame on the budgets no the Gaffer.

He was nowhere near the team at Rovers in a lower division, why would he make it at Rangers.

Someone in the management or scout teams has obviously seen something in him. He'll be on a youngsters wage so it does the club no harm taking a closer look.

    Another weird deal by Warburton.

No you can see the sense in taking a youngster who you think may be good enough on loan as an extended trial with a fee agreed for a permanent deal if he cuts it.

Better than taking a punt with an upfront fee.

Where were these employment laws when we sacked Sandaza?

What do you think Green called Sandaza into the office and said 'son yer fucking sacked'? He would have been done for Gross Misconduct or would have had a break clause written into the contract.

He is probably the type of guy who would sit taking a wage just to piss you off if he thinks you are treating him wrong though.

Aye he's a wank no doubt but you'd think at 34 he'd want the play and if the doors closed here elsewhere. We'll see if it was shite he was talking when saying it's all about the football for him.

  6. Those sighting employment law and saying it makes it very difficult to 'rip up his contract' are 100% right. Unless we can get him on Gross Misconduct and you'd think if there was a clear case for that from the incident at Auchenhowie or the talk sport interview we'd have sacked him already.

Its unlikely the betting will be enough, unless we can relate it to the same behavioural condition in the contract as some of the other stuff and get him on the 3 strikes- verbal, written and final warning- rule for something like 'bringing the club into disrepute/ negatively impacting its image' or 'improper conduct'.

The manager clearly doesn't want him back, and if we can't sack him he'll be gone in January.

    Get a grip of yourselfs

chasing our manager out the door at the first sign of the chips being down is embarrassing and the act of a tarrier.

We are still on a journey here and yes it's tough and frustration to watch but MW and DW are one of us.

And turning on them is not an option for now. They should be given the full season to turn it around.

    Fixed that for you pal.

Agree with most of this. I think his job could be in trouble if we don't finish 2nd. But IMO the board will see the bigger picture and will recognise what kind of investment is required in the next couple of windows to close the gap.

  8. We're looking solid at the back because our back four were condensed and sitting so deep they hardly left the edge of the box.

Our front 5 players train week in week out to build from the back, maintain possession, with short quick passing. But when your set up so defensively you need a get out ball to a striker who can hold up the ball- like a Prso or Jelavic- and some raw pace- a Lovenkrands, or Alulko. Playing wee guys who want to slow down play like McKay was never going to work because they we're constantly isolated and not strong or direct enough to keep the ball or go past he man. MOH, & Forrester would have given us more direct running. Waghorn or Garner through the middle are both more physical than Miller.

Taylor was offered a move to Portland Timbers and has said the opportunity that presented to start a new 'life' was a big part of his reasons for moving.

Mariappa wanted to try earn a deal in the PL.

Tibi stayed where he was and renewed his deal at his current club.

The money that would have been used to sign any one of those was instead used to sign Senderos.

They would all have had a price to come here that we didn't meet, they wouldn't have entertained talks if there wasn't a degree of interest. Tibi and Mariappa over Hill & Senderos and we would have been a completely different proposition. We wouldn't have had to sit as deep against the taigs as we would have had more pace and quality. If say we offered them combined £25k/week and they would have moved for £40k. That extra £15-20k/week would have been well worth it.

I can understand not spending millions on transfer fees first season back but we are paying the price for not breaking our max wage bracket. I think you've got to blame both the board and management for misreading the market.

We've had accounts released that only covered the first few months and are imminently awaiting the first full year set since DK took over. Lets see what those bring up before we start going down the "he's not spend money he said he would" road. If the do show he's not coughed up then it's absolutely fair to go after him but just now there's absolutely nothing that backs up that he hasn't backed Warburton financially. There's not one of our targets we missed out on for financial reasons.

Ill not say wages but I will say any investment has went into running the club. Whether that's wages or not, I've no idea. I doubt they'll have it made into neat wee bundles of "the money we had regardless" and "daves investment money".

We missed out on the first 3 targets at CHs we went for in the summer- Taylor, Tibi and Mariappa. What other reason other than money did these not come off?

I'm not bothered whether it comes from King or any other the other investors, but what's been invested isn't enough and these last two games against them should be a wake up call that current levels are below whats required.

  11. Fods done nothing wrong but Gilks had an air of 'the goalie' about him. Looked unbeatable for the majority. I can't choose between the two after today. We've got two top keepers, not a bad position to be in.

  12. He's a handy enough player for this league and would be a great 2nd choice left back. He's a club legend for his service through the journey back but unfortunately he lacks the ability to take us on to the next level.

If the gaffer isn't completely blind to criticism of his favourites (and I fear he might be) then we will have a better option at LB by the end of next summers window.

  13. Id play 5 at the back-

                            Fod

    Tav senderos Kiernan Hill Wallace

             Holt  Halliday  Windass

                    Dodoo  Miller

Full backs can bomb on without exposing us at he back on the counter. We can can condense and still stop their LB overlapping n all.
