  1. I still can't believe that Miller is still here!

Who in the right mind offers someone of his age a contract that he gets another year if he plays X-amount of games.

lumbered with him, wish hed just retire and give someone else a chance.

Were you at the game? Did you see his work rate? With Mark stating he likes to run a light squad in terms of numbers, I think Miller could prove to be a very useful player; even if its from the bench.

Season has not even started yet and already we have some slating the players - absolutely pathetic.

  2. Travernier was the stand out for me. I am not sure if it is just about the fact we have been crying out for a decent right back for a long time or he was simply fantastic, but wither way we are looking good in that position; with Aird and another youth as cover.

Halliday looked eager but it showed in his touch. Not a sign of a bad player, just a sign of a lifetime fan shitting himself as he realises his dream - he will settle.

McKay needs to invest in a flag, which he can wave when he is in open space. The amount of times we played through the middle and lost the ball, when he was wide and open was unreal.

Foderingham needs to compose himself and watch his passes across the defence. Some nearly gave me a bloody heart attack. Apart from that, he looks good.

All in all it was a good game with encouraging signs, topped off with a fantastic day overall. The Louden was superb, albeit the wife was slightly worse for wear as we were in a Glasgow Karaoke bar until 3am and I dragged her out for a liquid lunch, so she was mostly propping the bar up with her half cider.

  3. Didn't know we had any scouts at any level. Think the main thing is to have youth scouts anyway so players can be brought to Ibrox and go thru the age levels and be taught the style of football and if they are good enough progress to the first team.

Youth scouts are quite easy to sort, I would imagine. I know of a man who did it for Man City many moons ago and they had a fair few so I am told. I am guessing we would have people looking out for us in every region of Scotland, including coaches of youth organisations.

  4. Ffs - we are playing against the Alloas and Dumbartons of this world and people are happy for us to "get by"

We should have been thrashing these teams for the last 3 years and we should thrash them this year.

Waeburton will be gobsmacked when he sees the quality of opposition we face in this league

    It's payback time

I agree with you but I am saying that our expectations should not change in year one and the objective was always to be promoted. I hope to hell we start thrashing these teams but that is hope and not expectation.

  5. I don't want us to 'get by'

I would rather we did what Hearts did, romp the league.

A cup win would be good as well.

This would send a message out to the bheasts and the rest of the SPL (or whatever it's called) that we are coming to get the bastards

Typical. We go from being absolute pish under a pish manager to expecting a full on romp of the league and atleast one cup from a new manager and squad.

How about we just let the manager and team do what is needed to win this league and get us to where we want to be, with anything else being a bonus?

  6. There's been no real investment in players to get the supporters excited enough to go watch, plus its against Burnley.

    Its also a midweek game.

Yep, 100% agree. I have not been a loyal supporter for a while now - I have not slept with a tim in case you ask - and this is really landed at the right time where I promised a city break to the wife and I just managed to insert this game into the breaks itinerary.

That said, had I still had my ST, I would have been at this with my son and if it were not a city break with the wife, I would have been with my son as well. I see this as a game to welcome our new man to his helm and clear the air for all 2014/15 players, whilst welcoming the new.

  7. You better get their Early i parked outside it last game and it was that busy they were turning punters away.

    You talking about the Louden?

Having been away from the action for a while I have been starved of it and the atmosphere, so I will be there nice and early.

  8. I understand that this is quite a new rule that they've brought in for the Family Stand.

I can see why it's annoying to a lot of long-time seat holders, but on the other hand, without thinking it through too deeply, I can see the sense, and necessity in having a "No unaccompanied Adults" rule. Otherwise we're just encouraging the Tims to come to the Family Stand, and nobody wants that. :pipe:

I understand it, to be fair and sometimes wondered why so many adults were in the stand with no sign of a child - thinking that they could be taking seats from kids. It's a good rule and not complaining, as I shall experience a different view to that of which I am used to and I cannie fucking wait lol!

  9. I'm fucking skint, can hopefully sort something before Tuesday as I'd like to make this if possible,

    I notice you can't purchase Bar72 tho, I assume that's sold out?

Having never drank at Ibrox and aiming to do on Tuesday, I was looking for details on this but the website only lists The Ibrox Bar - is this one in the same? The reason I ask is I thought you had to pay to get in but it states any fan with a ticket can enter.

Louden is my first stop 'tho :-)

  10. Even for friendlies I can only buy tickets in the BR3 if I buy a child as well? There is no way my 8 year old daughter will be at a midweek game, she is in bed by 7!

    Need to sit elsewhere.

Our old ST seats were available in BR2 and I immediately wanted to buy for Tuesday but as my sprog is now 18, I could not buy. The wife and I will be sat in Sandy's stand for the first time and my thoughts will be with the man when I take to my seat.

  11. I don't get to many games these days but I will be at Ibrox on Tuesday. The £10 ticket fee is a bonus, the real reason I am going is that I love Rangers FC and I have forsaken them for my sons football and now his refereeing career. Ironically, I am taking my wife with me and we shall stay in Glasgow overnight - party!

  12. It is a joke, see the fans that can't travel down south they can go to Ibrox 18 times at least next season, see us that want a good pre-season away trip, the thousands that follow away from home, we get fuck all, after spending hundreds to thousands last season to watch a bunch of fucking amateurs kick a ball about and get pumped off diddy teams.

With the shite that MW and DW have to sort out, surely you can allow him one pre-season without an away tour? He is most likely worried that the players might need gel before being in front of the fans?

  13. Mibbees take that number out your post buddy, pm the guy,10 rabid obsessed viewing right now.

To be fair, I had to google his number again as I got it from the official RFC supporters clubs list but I get you.

  14. Welcome to Fife. I am just up the road in Glenrothes.

Fife Loyal bus makes many stops and I tried it from Glenrothes before opting to drive. A mate of mine uses it all the time, and he lives in Glenrothes but he likes to drink in Eddies bar in Kirkcaldy - the base of the SC.

    Contact Alfie on PM'd number

  15. January is the worst time to buy, that's when the fee's are more exaggerated!

I beg to differ. If they are not free agents in July, they are contracted and thus the club are happy to keep. January see's the players that have proved to their manager that they are not quite what they are after and/or they need to free up wages to sign those who are, thus January sales and there are plenty to be had.
