  7. A win for Spurs today at Blackburn (certainly not a foregone conclusion) will put us in fifth place in the table, a point above Liverpool with an extra game in hand. Despite all the hype, Kenny Dalglish's record during his latest spell at Anfield is little better than that achieved by Roy Hodgeson. And the tens of millions of pounds they've spent on very ordinary players recently simply beggars belief.
  8. I liked Alan Hutton and really wanted him to succeed at Spurs. But the truth is he simply wasn't good enough. We've now got Kyle Walker instead and although the lad is far from the finished article just yet, I think he'll prove to be a fantastic player and the regular right back for Spurs & England for many years to come.
  9. Eight more clubs will participate for the 2012-13 season - Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Villarreal, Paris Saint Germain, FC Porto and Galatasary. Thereafter, it is invisioned that there will be a pre-tournament qualification elminator for any other clubs who wish to participate.
  10. Saturday 22nd October 2011: Which two footballers from Northern Ireland played in the Spanish La Liga? You can find the answer here... Football Trivia Question of the Day Good luck!
  11. The UEFA U-19 NextGen Series is proving to be very successful and there have been some cracking matches played so far. Spurs recently beat Inter Milan 7-1 and are currently top of Group 4. The top two teams from each group will progress to the knock-out phase next year, which will be televised. Full details of the competition are available here... UEFA U-19 NextGen Series 2011-12
  12. Thursday's answer: Camazzola (Heart of Midlothian, 2005–06), Alexandre Cerdeira (Dundee, 2004–05), Edinho (Dunfermline Athletic, 1998–99), Emerson (Rangers, 2003–04), Juninho (Celtic, 2004–05) and Rafael Scheidt (Celtic, 1999–2000). 16. Ledley's problems are well documented, but Spurs also had Michael Dawson and William Gallas out injured too. Once King went off at Newcastle, we effectively had our fourth and fifth choice central defenders playing.
  17. Monday 17th October 2011: Who was the last Southampton player to finish as the Top Flight's highest goalscorer? You can find the answer here... Football Trivia Question of the Day Good luck!
  18. He has a reoccuring problem with his hamstring, so as the match wears on, he's more likely to get injured. Playing around an hour will significantly decrease the risk of any damage. I thought Harry made a very good change, as Defoe had an immediate effect on the match and scored a cracking goal. Overall, a draw was a very fair result but it did underline the importance of Ledley King to Spurs' defence - we only conceded the two goals once he went off.
