Right so if it doesn't need to be done in one window, then we still need a squad of players...
Obviously we need a squad of players… and everyone must be able to play and make a difference. Both starting and from bench.

So how you building these 22 starters for under 2m a player then?
Not my job to do so. But as the specky guy said, doesn’t all need to be done in one window. And some players hopefully already on board.
My point was mainly not to resign players if they are not good enough to start… you absolute nutcase

Oh - 2m

Ideguchi - 500k
Mooy - Free
Siegrist.- Free
McCarthy - FreeThat's 44m on those players alone...
We would hammer them if they'd fielded the under 2m team.
I agree. Mainly because they’d have no defence

And I'm the crazy one. Anyone on a free will want a decent signing on fee and higher wages.
Absolutely nuts.
I do understand how transfers work… even free ones

You don't need 2m for a starter?
No

Great we'll just go find 44m down the back of the couch.
Nonsense. Don’t need 44m… you are crazy

How do you propose we afford 22 starters?
The same way they have.

Yep. Happy for him to be squad player on reduced wages for the quota. Can’t be relied upon to start. Nor is he good enough
That’s the problem with us. If he’s not good enough to start, then what is the point in keeping him. We need 22 players who are good enough to start. If anyone is not good enough to start then don’t sign them and certainly don’t keep them.
The competition for places this season is a joke. We have no competition at RB, and very little at GK, CB, ST, LW and still don’t have anyone who can play RW

LOL, that line means or. If we are not to play McGregor, I would expect Big John to get the nod.
Still can’t play 12 mate

Do you think over the summer we might be able to give the beam on top of the club deck a wash? Hope so…

55. Although he was pish for a couple of months during it, the rest he was very good.
Thought he was good in 1st season and last season. Especially in European games. He was absolutely outstanding.

I have mixed feelings on Kent, but over all he was a flop when you consider the fee.
That’s way too harsh. He’s been an excellent signing. That’s my opinion anyway. No way has he been a flop

quick Google search
McGregor has 10 assists and 7 goals in the past 3 seasons.
So not quite as much of a contrast but still more.

Not just Lundstrum. In the past 2 seasons Hatate, mooy and O’Riley have 5 times as many assists with half the appearances than Davis, Arfield, Jack, Lundstrum and sands combined.
Davis 1 in 49
Jack 4 in 54
Lundstrum 1 in 93
Arfield 1 in 86
Sands 0 in 47
7 assists in 329 matches!
Hatate has 12 in 59
O’Riley 14 in 60
Mooy 10 in 39
36 in 168
And the goals aren’t any better.
Cantwell already has 5 assists in 15 which is more like it. But we badly need somebody else of real quality and better than Jack, Lundstrum next to Raskin next year.
The tims you mention tend to play a different role to what Lundstram plays. Lundstram usually played as a CDM… Mcgregor probably a closer gage. Do you know his stats for his last 93 games?

He needs to get fitter. Hopefully a good preseason with no injuries and he could well be a stand out for us next season…. The early signs are promising

Anyone mind sharing what the team is?

Im taking the daughter out shopping and a pub lunch, literally couldn't care less about today, what's so depressing is how often I've felt like this the last five odd years or so. Becoming used to meaningless games. All about that semi final.
As it happens i expect a dull 2-0 slog with us tying up the game in the last few minutes after much huffing and puffing and a few scares at our end .
Thanks for sharing

Boys all round me in the Copland are sound as fck and much better chat but I'm wedged between 2 gentlemen who are on the larger side.
So i use my daughter's main stand seat where the boy next to her barely attends a game. Means I can spread my arse over 2 seats. That better no change...
Think that’s my seat in the main stand… I’ll be back next season. Hope your daughter is back in her usual seat next season too …

you can add Matondo, Barasic, McLaughlin, Kamara and Lundstram to that list mate and possibly Sakala as well.
Agreed, I didn’t include them as you need a 3rd party to get them out. I only included the ones easiest to move out.
