"The club went into administration in February last year with debts of up to £124m". Really?
At the time, that could very well have been true. Issue of semantics really.
-
Celtic fans think the media is pro-Rangers, Rangers fans think the media is pro-celtic.
Which is true? I'd guess neither.
It's just pro-old firm. Try buying a national paper for news on ICT or County. You'd be fucked 5/7 days.

This is a Club and support that looked into the abyss... And the abyss blinked
Who said that? It's a fucking topper.

Gallas is on a free...

I'd like to see the boy at Caley Josh Meekings given a go. Young, can play RB as well as CD, done well this season for them in the SPL. Should stroll the lower leagues and could be worth a few bob as a sell-on.

It still hurts me a bit that game, it would have been quite an acheivement having 2 teams from a small city winning the 2 major euoropean competitions.
Our achievement (had we won it) would have been swept aside for the European Cup Pub Team Cup winners.

Would rather have Miller back tbh.

Surely you jest Wattie is at the helm. I suspect they will rally to £3.75 by tomorrow afternoon, maybe £5 then upwards ever upwards as Mr Rangers guides us through uncharted periods of profitability.
Hmmm.

League, Ramsdens, a Hampden appearance in one cup. Better fucking fitba as well. My first ST was the Nuno Capucho/Egil Ostenstad/Emerson season and I wasn't as bored then as I was last season.

Conquer this backwater first .
If we are to leave, I'd like to overtake the beads in the Scottish Cup stakes. It's the only competition here they've won more times than us. That and 'most fans on benefits', but we'll never catch them on that one.
-
Cardiff won the league so they will be in the Premiership next season.
So they did. Confusing them (somehow) with Watford.

In what way do Wenger and PSG have a shared philosophy towards building a team?
Laurent Blanc - if Ancelotti gets his wish.
One invests fairly well in decent top grade talent with substantial cash, and the other buys French near-duds who almost always never really make it at the level expected.

A disaster at that stadium was waiting to happen, given the reports at the time. That's not to excuse the scousers, they're to blame as much as anyone in this, maybe more so. As someone said, the contrast in attitudes from them over this and Hillsborough is startling.

Climate plays a huge role. Half the days in Scotland are a right off when it comes to kids playing outdoor sport.
Other problem Scotland has is lack of green land in inner cities, and lack of kids just playing football. Even from when I was a child, going back 20yrs, you'd not need to look far to find a group of kids having a kick about. These days, not so.
I remember Mark Wotte talking about when he had just taken the job at the SFA and being stunned that kids hiring a 5s or 7s pitch would not only cost them money, but that it was around £30 or so, which kids just don't have. Or at least, would rather spunk the cash on Shitbox live points or FIFA mug team packs.
He may not have said the last sentence.

Just waiting for Scudamore to talk about it being 'the ENGLISH Premiership', never mind that Swansea are there, Cardiff were a bawhair away from joining them, Wrexham and Newport in the lower leagues. And that we've got Berwick. But English innit.

I'm thinking the victim (club) would need to make the police complaint. Not site if shareholders could instigate this.
Not necessarily. Forgive the bad analogy, but if it was only up to a victim to make the complaint, there would be no prosecutions for murder, ever.

Ha Leonardo? Really? Always thought he was a placid guy. Ridiculous. And handsome

Again I don't necessarily think teams "parked the bus" this season and likewise the approach from the SFL2 teams will be very similar to what we have faced this year.....My biggest issue with this season was we had no plan B....If we couldn't break teams down well that was that....we lacked intensity and fluency in our play and in the final 3rd, barring a few games we seemed short of ideas. This season we need to press much higher and quicker to put these teams under more pressure, we need to maintain our width to stretch them and move the ball quicker to get in behind, create chances and ultimately to not give them the chance to break up the play by fouling. I hope the new players make a difference but ultimately the whole ethos has to change, regardless who plays.,
I definitely think that the majority of teams this last season were keen to sit in and defend and hit us on the break, for my money that's parking the bus to a large degree, but that's just opinion. We were dreadfully short on ideas but that's not necessarily going to change much this coming season, unless Law can bring something else. Agreed on the last bit, Ally needs to watch a few dvds and maybe hire a new coach on attacking movement.
-
Did you watch any of the games this year mate? The majority of the time these teams tried to get the ball down and pass it, they were usually well organized and although they didnt have the quality to play consistently at a high level, often they tried to play football more than we did. The difference between the 3rd and 2nd is minimal as well and we cant use this "but these bad teams put in bad challenges" excuse anymore....move the ball quicker and it wont be a problem.
I agree with some of the comments....on the face of it the signings are very encouraging, especially Law. However, how Ally sets them up in terms of formation and style will be interesting....I already have a horrible feeling we will see either Law or Macleod playing wide. No excuses this year...full pre-season, players in early, if things dont improve then Ally has to walk....hopefully though these signings will work out and we will significantly improve.
All of the home games bar the first Montrose one. A point I missed is that maybe more teams won't park the bus as much as well, allowing us more space to knock it about and in behind. Our coaching and style was abysmal this season, but I'm hoping these signings can change that, along with a bit more freedom to play. Here's hoping, anyway.

Don't think there's that much difference between divisions 2 and 3 but I could be wrong mate will see I suppose
I'm expecting more of a jump between D2-D1, but time will tell.
-
Something I think is overlooked is that for every league that we go up, the standard of football will get better. Mainly, the opposition will improve slightly and they'll be less of the 'kick fuck out of the opposition and lump it long' school and a little happier to let us have more time on the ball I think.
-
Even when it comes to our history?
History will show that we newco'd in 2012, though the club remained the same one it always was. What don't you get?
-
Absolutely disgraceful - complain about the guy on the phone, he should not be in the job.
Outrageous if this is the official club stance and a kick in the balls to those who made an investment for the future.
This is the sort of story that you expect to hear from the other side of the city.
Sort it out Rangers, we are NOT a newco.
I think you'll find we are.
-
Oh that's only bits of our punishment mate.
We got Ten point deduction.
Loss of SPL Runners up cash
£50,000 FINE.
And sent to the 3rd Div along with 3 year Ban in Europe for said imaginary debt insolvency event.
We where set up Hook line, and sinker mate.
And got next to hardly any transfer Money for those players who betrayed us.
No, we're out of Europe because we newco'd and have yet to have three years accounts.
Warrant issued for whytes arrest!

At that time, it was possible that we might have lost the case though. Hence why I said 'could'.
