I take it straight Johnstone didn't read the script? We're they just supposed to turn up, and stand about watching us pass the ball leisurely into the net to rack up a cricket score? The entire point of a competitive game of football is to have two teams trying to win. During the souness / Smith years teams were actually afraid to play us. They knew that they were beaten before they left the bus. Celtic have achieved this by getting us removed from the league for 4 years. We have a forward thinking manager, an attack minded philosophy, granted with a few areas that need improving, but on the whole I would argue that we are on the right track, nowhere close to the finished article but getting there. Can everyone stop being so fucking pathetic and greeting faced? Take a leaf out of big Marvin's book and keep believing....
Mate that tonight was a shambles and not the first time either I wish I had your optimism but the serious lack of changing a game by our manager worries me.
-
Just home and want to say that was absolutely and utterly pathetic as soon as ten minutes everyone in the stadium could see we were struggling everyone but the manager obviously as he kept it the same for the whole 90 mins.
His substitutions absolutely baffle me?? Like for like and ineffectual.....Fecking soul destroying.

Loving the positivity in this thread from my fellow bears ???
hopefully any day now with more support and the coverage required this wee bear gets the funds needed to help him and his family to have a happy settled life.

So bloody Frustrating.

Therefore something needs to change to make the story more newsworthy
Hopefully the proposed mascot appearance will act as a catalyst. We need to do what we can between now and then to make it more newsworthy.
I have an idea that might add an extra element of newsworthiness, but it's just that at the moment - an idea, with no certainty of success, and no clear way of putting it into action. If anything comes of it, I'll let you know. If not, I won't get your hopes up.
The other difficulty btw, is that the club can't really get involved, on anything other than a fair and equitable basis (signed shirt, stadium tours, mascot appearance, etc). They receive thousands of worthwhile appeals for help, and have limited resources, very strict regulations, and partnership contracts, and all sorts of other stuff that stop them from just chipping in with large-scale support to anything that takes their fancy.
So to be able to get the club on board, I guess it has to become something that already has the overwhelming support of the vast majority of the support, and that requires the mass media to publicise it first.
In the meantime, we just need to carry on with phase one. Each donation is another supporter on board. Nearly at 500 now.
With guys like yourself pushing it GB then I'm sure it will eventually get there.

Why is it taking so long to get anywhere near the target this wee man needs?
I see kids being helped all the time which is phenomenal recent example Everton donating 200k for a wee Sunderland fan after a match.
It just seems this Wee fellas family have been crying out for help for so long now and yet the target is so far away.
There must be someone with a good few quid who could probably pay the whole thing and not even miss it.
Just frustrated and venting....anyway bump to this thread as it needs kept at the forefront.
