I think today can be considered a success if we manage to hang on to Jelavic. Anything else on top of that is just an added bonus.

If we make yet another bid and it STILL isn't the same as Blackburn's offer then we quite simply don't deserve to sign him purely for how pathetic our dealing of this transfer has been.

If this guy impresses in training, it may be an idea to see if we could bring him in on a pay as you play basis...or is a German international likely to laugh at that kind of deal?

I agree with most of whats being said in this thread. I think our transfer dealings have been pretty diabolical to be honest. And the thing I'm most annoyed about is giving Steven Whittaker a 5 year deal on crazy wages. Poor business in my opinion.

I think our transfer dealings are to blame for this terrible situation we find ourselves in. We've had weeks and weeks to get guys in, but we've been dragging our heels and wasting our own time with pitiful bids for our supposed targets and then when we finally get hold of a much needed centre half...its all too late and he cant play in our Champs League qualifier. Piss poor business.

Was a pretty shambolic performance both today and at the weekend. Ally is already under some serious pressure.
