  1. krissg910, surely the last 4 years have shown we dont want an overdraft. Fuck being in debt again, its time to run our club accordingly and if that means our board have to be more clever about running our club rather than blowing a million here and a couple of million there on duds then so be it!

Living within our means is the only way to go.

i agree m8, i was only trying to say that i think many banks would jump at the chance of dealing with a debt free rangers.

  2. Bear in mind that UCL money being guaranteed will have helped our profits until next season, when the UCL money is no longer guaranteed regardless if we win the league or not (td)

the large majority of cl monies has went to paying debt, so without debt and without cl monies we will be pretty much even

add to this the 5million or so cw has said he will invest each season and the better prospect we would be to outside investment i think rangers could be run fairley well without cl money, but remember there is a good chance we will

get cl money atleast once every 2 seasons(maybe 3 at worst) then there is times when we will have runs of 3yrs in a row with cl money.

without debt rangers arnt as bad a business as ppl think if run correctly.

just think of the amount of interest we must be paying on our debts each yr, which will be about 3-4 million that could be used in a more productive way.

get rid of the debt, have a decent yet not bad wage bill, make sure we get top dollar for transfers out of the club and not letting players leave for free and we shouldnt be too far off the black each season

  3. I am pretty confident you are wrong.

a debt free rangers would be worth around 50mil in assets( rough guess)

our last 2-3 yrs financial yrs have shown us making profits.

if a business goes to a bank with these figures i think you would find the banks very willing to deal with you

aslong as your future business plan is sound and you arnt going to start running the club at a loss year

    after year after year.

  4. If Whyte comes in though, he is still going to have to find a bank willing to give us a £15 million revolving overdraft facility(unless he is puting up another £15m). If he doesnt, we wont be any better off than we are currently. In fact, we will be worse.

i think you would find that the banks would be lining up to give a debt free rangers a decent sized overdraft,

i am pretty confident on this fact.

  5. to be honest, winning the lge dosnt seem to be as big a factor as we all think.

supposedly bain/johnstone have already been to agree next seasons budgets a few weeks ago.

and we extremely dissapointed by what they were given.

imo cl money only comes in to play in paying our debt off quicker, and not for the squad/transfers ect.

although i think winning the lge is a must as the quicker we get away from lloyds the better.

but if the budgets for nxt season are already done, winning the lge must not be as major as every1 seems to think(including myself).

  6. Craig Whyte has the money. A deal has been struck between the two parties involved. The tax issue doesn't seem to be affecting things. Whyte is happy with results of due diligence. Things are ready to go. Lloyd's are holding things up with their ridiculousness. Rangers say they are at fault, Lloyd's say they are not.

Basically, the deal should be thrashed out before Friday. If not? Next season looks bleak.

You heard it here first :craphead:

    proof of your above points?????

  7. i think that study by steve bruce, should be emailed to every msp, mhedia outlet and police force in the country.

its time we fought back and stopped this country trying to label us(rangers fans) as scotlands major problem

when anyone with half a brain knows society and alcohol are scotlands main problems. not religion and secterianism.

  8. Their argument is that religious hatred has to start somewhere. Today singing, tomorrow mass murder. Which is lunacy! I hate all organised religion, because I believe that they are all the definition of corruption and exploitation. I don't hate the people, who are only misguided, my grandmother for example. How can the preachings of a man and his followers who lived thousands of years ago be relevant today anyway? Sure, have a moral code, but life is incomparably different. Each to their own though, I will not try and convert anyone. I remember back to my school days where this fellow called Hasib was constantly trying to convert me to islam, I found it amusing, he's probably an extremist somewhere. Bad Hasib!

exactly we all have rc m8s ect. its not the single person we dislike, its the actual religion and ppl who try to

    force this on others.

ppl can follow whatever faith they want that is there choice and i respect that, so why cant they respect my right to voice my dissaproval of things i think are wrong/corrupt ect

  9. personally i dnt consider myself bigoted even though i hate the catholic religion.

they think they are better than others who follow different faiths or have no religion.

they have descriminated against ppl for thousands of yrs yet if some1 has views against them, they(we)

    are bigoted.

however my main problem is due to the fact the harbour and protected men who are guilty of child abuse

which in my opinion is the biggest crime/sin any person could ever commit.

i dnt have problems with any other religions apart from maybe muslims, but that is another matter.

i myself am uncertain of religion/god and am not a member of any religion, although i am not atheist.

i would consider myself an unconvinced protestant as that is the religion i grew up with.

i personally sing all the so called bigoted songs and chants and dnt care what any1 thinks of me. my

main problems is i feel my right to free speech and thought are being affected by the constant barrage

against ppl like me, who are branded secterian at every chance.

they will never change my views.

    FTP

  10. personally i dont think referees are biased and unfortunately they make mistakes.

however i think we should point out the mistakes and say we believe the refs are under too much strain because of

the taigs campaign against them this season.

imho if your a good enough you will overcome bad decisions, just as we proved on sunday.

i would never demand a human loss his job unless there is concrete proof he is acting in a wrong and matter that is

    cheating teams out of games.

we are not them, dnt sink to there mentality.

    watp:21:

  11. the cl has its own matchdays scheduled out for every season. tv stations pay the majority of the money the clubs recieve for getting into the cl. top lges are not allowed to have televised games on a cl match night as it could effect the viewing figures of the cl games which tv stations have paid hundreds of millions for.

due to the amount you(we) recieve when we are in the cl, i believe they have every right to protect there audience figures.

6 is unusual and will be unfair on some fans but would you rather play 2 games at 6pm and enjoy the tv money for the cl or play 2 games at 7.45 and be deducted money.

i know its the travelling support who suffer, but the amount of ppl who pay for espn and want to see this game is probs far greater than the 3 or 4000 we take to the games.

its a pretty shitty situation, but its far better that say playing 4 games in 8 days ect that we would probs have to do to keep tv/travelling fans and uefa happy to get the match to be on at 7.45

  12. Please reread OP - all digs at this thread and the OP are well justified - if Walter is due critisism when things are no perfect he dererves some praise when he delivers - again!

i have always praised him for what he has done for rangers, infact i have said many a time he is our greatest ever manager. but when we play defensive or we play poor or some players are under performing and we want to critisize smith for it, i believe as supporters of the club, who put money and time into being a gers we have a right to say what we are feeling.

thanx for another great memory sir walter:praise:
