i cant get up for it at all. everytime i get abit excited i imagine us playing 5-4-1 tomorrow and it makes me sick.
if i feel this way i wonder how our players are feeling.

he is just another player who suffers due to smiths negativity.
the loss of form of so many players at 1 time is due to smith and smith alone.
his tactics are damaging the players ability and mentallity.
if he dosnt stop the 5-4-1 our season is finished imho

considering on our run to the final in 2008 shagger was the hero, i would of thought he would have been first on the team sheet.
as for rotation and resting players, why are bougie/weir/whittaker/davis and edu never rested or rotated.
im not surprised at the line up i called it except for wylde who i had diouf out left.
fingers crossed we can keep it 0-0 until 72 mins n smith might(for once) make 3 attacking substitutions.

if he does go with the above team as i suspect, the best we can hope for is 0-0 imho, unless he changes it about 60mins and gets 2 or 3 out of naisy/weiss/wylde/heally on. i dont believe smith will be more attack minded i think hes gonna try and sneak a 1-0 win or take it to penalties.

the problem is skillful players always suffer the most in defensive teams as they need to work too hard on the defensive side of their game
when they should be focusing on what they do best.
i think it is unfair to judge diouf as in 90% of the games he has played we offer him no support, he looks issolated when hes upfront and
has to come back so deep to get involved in the play hes not in the place where he can do the most damage i.e the attacking 3rd.
i doubt we will see the best of him under smith, but i have no doubt he is a quality player, something we dnt have alot of in our current squad.

<br /><br /><br /><br />Think the clubs do have a say on if they want a game broadcasted live in this competition, if they feel their overall revenue is being effected on matchdays.<br />since it changed to the europa lge, they have a similar deal to the champs lge 1. all tv broadcasting rights are held by uefa and the tv money gets given out in a game by game amount. so the futher you get the more you will recieve.

<br /><br /><br /><br />With this game being on ITV4 a channel that most people have, most will just sit in the house and watch it.<br /><br />Rangers should look into a TV lockout, until the stadium is 90% sold out for these types of games.<br />i actually dnt think the clubs have a say in who televises the europa league matches, as tv stations pay to screen 1 or 2 matches per matchday and then get to select whatever they think is most appealing to them.
i believe the tv money is dished out equally between all clubs, and the amount u recieve is dependent on how far u make it in the comp.

After how woeful he was against Sporting I'm surprised to see him in a few peoples preferred line ups. How many more chances could he have asked for in that game? The way Smith will set us out tomorrow, it will be vital we take those chances. Lafferty will not. He's never a striker, let's be honest.
im not a fan of laff m8, but he is the only option imho, ehd dosnt have the pace for the lone striker role, not seen enuff of healy to risk him, jelavic is cup tied.
laff can play it, he showed by the amount of opertunitys he got against sporting that he can do it, just a pity his finishing was fucking woeful that nite.
he owes us a performance and 1 of these days hes surely gonna provide it.

rab am not dissin the team fs, i want us to win more than anything. im just saying a dnt enjoy watchin us in europe. infact it cracks me up, anno we dnt have the resources ect and its a minor miracle that we are this far already, but the last 2 teams weve played(sporting and psv) we could of easily put sporting out if we played attacking football, infact we would a steam rolled them at ibrox. as for the psv game. at halftime you could see we had the beating of them if we played abit more football and had a couple of men upfront
i will take a win anyway we get it and party my ass of to celebrate it, but i just dont like watchin our tactics in europe.

imo its not the result that gets to ppl, its the soul destroying pish we have to watch in europe game after game.
i would of took 0-0 b4 the game easily, but the problem is we need to win at ibrox to go through and i can gaurantee that we will still play a 5-4-1.
im happy with the result, just dnt think i am ever gona be happy with the negative tactics smith employs in europe or even against the taigs for that matter.

walter finally realised what the majority of rangers fans have been saying for months and your want to say it was
a master stroke of tactics. fs get a grip. the shit aimed at smith lately has been justified by the way we have been playing before today.
if he sticks to the more attacking way of football and we win the lge then maybe some of us were a bit harsh on the guy.
p.s. i never posted i wanted him gone, though i have posted many times critising they way we had been playing.
the fact that we all said we need to play 4-4-2 and start attacking teams and we will win things was proved today so
we were right.
we all love rangers and want to win so lets just enjoy our victory and stop the point scoring pish.
