  1. And shall remain unnamed, because they don't exist.
  2. Ok, I do feel like I have to defend Whyte a bit here. For starters, this club is in better nick than it was before he took over. Secondly, he – contrary to popular belief – HASN’T asset-stripped the club. And, lastly, the transfer budget may have been larger, if McCoist (and remember, only HE can make decisions on the playing front) hadn’t deemed Whittaker to be one of his untouchables and encouraged Whyte to finance a five-year, £20K-a-week contract for him. Just saying.
  3. One thing to note, people. Last season, everyone was of the opinion that Ness, Hutton, Wylde etc should start more games. Well, look at the silver lining here. If we sign Juhasz and Cuellar, Ross Perry doesn’t start any games and leaves. If we sign Weiss, Gregg Wylde doesn’t sign a new contract and leaves. If we sign Hutton, Jordan McMillan doesn’t get any games and leaves. If we sign Eremenko, Ness and Hutton also get fed up. See the pattern here? If we’re completely honest here, the only thing that is going to save the Scottish game is developing a great youth system, so I’m happy to see the likes of Perry, McMillan, Wylde, Hutton, Ness and Hemmings get a few more games. The squad should STILL be good enough to win the SPL.
  4. My mate just told me that too. Apparently it's all over Twitter. £5m was the price he heard quoted.
  5. He also provides a threat from direct set-pieces, which is something we don't really have.
  6. I think the Weiss love-in is over the top, to be honest. Talented, sure. Likes Rangers, sure. But inconsistent, and would start more games from the bench than in the starting 11.
  7. Yeah, to be honest - from a purely footballing point of view - I think we could do worse. He's two-footed, can play a pass, and weighs in with the odd goal. If Ally's looking to play Naismith in midfield more often, then we need that link man who plays between the midfield and the striker(s), and I think Diouf could play that role.
  8. In case you've all forgotten, Lennon signed Daryl Murphy, and continually picked Samaras against all known logic. I'd hardly call him the perfect judge of a striker.
  9. It staggers me how negative most of you are. Barring Bougherra leaving and a few injuries, I'm pretty certain that we could play the same starting 11 that won 9 and drew 1 in our last 10 league games last season, whilst only conceding 1 goal in the process. And are we really going to ignore the fact that we cuffed Motherwell 3-0 on their own patch under a fortnight ago?
