  1. That is a very powerful light you have shone on this Oleg. Unfortunately, until our board get away from the "dignified silence" and adopt the stance that the support want and deserve we are not going to see any form of sporting integrity. WATP
  2. JCS, your brother in blogging D'Artagnan, summed it up perfectly yesterday on the RM thread on the "bun fight". He said "When the blog becomes about you rather than Rangers - its time to call it a day" Too many so called influential/men in the know Rangers bloggers use the conduit of the blog to hyper inflate their own egos - the internet has a crime to answer giving people like this the means of self publicity. WATP
  3. Only the normal show unfortunately; we need a game which gives us coverage of some description either tv or radio in order for us to comment
  4. Being the democratic organisation that we are, this is easily implemrnted Rangerschat being of the people, by the people, for the people, (WATP) shall not perish from the earth FFE WATP
  5. Whatever happened to freedom of speech? As a red meat eating. red blooded, West of Scotland hetrosexual male; I defend my right to use expletives as punctuation! WATP
  6. Another well penned piece JCS. I hope that the custodians of our club waken up to the fact that we; the support, do not UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE want to "cosy up" to either the BBC or the Scottish football cabal. We are victims of a concerted attack which has been omgoing for longer than I care to think and now "dignified Silence" is going to be replaced with what? Us apologising perhaps? The BBC are the vanguard of the media attack on not just Rangers, but on our culture and we are expected to pay for the privilege! Be aware of this Mr "be humble" Mather do not go apologising on my behalf or make peace with any of our enemies on my behalf, because this is one bear who will never forget and will never forgive these people who wished to dance on the grave of my club. WA indeed TP

  10. Here's a taster, but always bear in mind that our topics are not cast in stone - any caller with a subject for discussion is always welcome. Fox's look forward to Sunday's cup game Mohsni's signing Ally' selection dilema re trialists The lee Rigby flag McCabe's booing getting more column inches than the Bheast's behaviour Dado's show suggestions Hope to see you at 9:00 pm - don't be late
  11. Not yet mate - still looking - still hopeful
  12. I hope that this will start a trend for the new season. If we are doing post match call in shows, calls from fans on the way home will be the cornerstone followed up by more detailed analysis the next night. I am so looking forward to the football starting so that me and Fox can have a rest from finding subjects for discussion. WATP
  13. Touche Mon Ami Get it done D'Art you know it makes sense WA indeed TP

  21. To save that rag getting hits - here it is Former Rangers star has European CUP Winners' Cup medal stolen by mugger during holiday in Spain 20 Jul 2013 08:28 ALEX MacDONALD was wearing the medal on a chain around his neck when the thief struck in Benidorm. Alex pictured with his medal and fan Joe Mackie, just before he was mugged RANGERS legend Alex MacDonald was mugged for his European Cup Winners’ Cup medal on holiday. The former Scotland star’s treasured honour was ripped from around his neck – where he had carried it on a gold chain for 40 years – by a cowardly thug who jumped him from behind. He was mugged as he walked with wife Christine along a seafront in Benidorm, Spain, the same country where he won the medal in Rangers’ historic 1972 triumph over Dynamo Moscow at the Nou Camp in Barcelona. Alex, 65, known in the game as Doddie, told the Record: “The medal was like a part of me, I had worn it for 40 years on a thick gold chain I got in the 70s after we won the cup. “It was won in Spain and now it’s been knocked in Spain.” But incredibly the former Hearts and Airdrie manager, who made more than 500 appearances for the Gers, revealed he held no bitterness towards the thief. He added: “I chased the guy but I was never the fastest. I don’t think I’ll ever see it again. I’m not holding a grudge. I have loved wearing it for 40 years and I just need to accept that it’s gone now. “I feel more embarrassed than anything else. I was just a fat old guy in Spain with a big gold chain that got mugged. I doubt the guy even knew about the medal, I think he was just after the chain. “But I have always been of the opinion that if you get a wallet stolen, then maybe the person that stole it needed the money more than you did. Who knows what that young guy’s situation was, I don’t have any bitterness. “When I went to the police station to make a report there was an old woman in there who had staples in the back of her head after some incident, so there are people worse off than I am. “It is sad because a lot of people got pleasure from the medal, not just me. “I would take it to functions at Ibrox and show it to children and they would get their photograph taken with it. "But at the end of the day it’s just not worth getting down and resentful about something like this.” Alex, who has a holiday flat in Benidorm, had been at the resort town’s Ibrox Bar in the afternoon before the medal was stolen at the end of May. He had a photograph taken with Gers fan Joe Mackie, 63, from Greenock, moments before he was mugged, after leaving the bar in broad daylight at around 3pm to take a walk with Christine. He added: “It was a young guy, he just grabbed it from behind and yanked it off then ran. “I went back to the bar and called the police from there. Joe was great because he was still there and managed to get the picture we had just had taken blown up to show what the medal looked like. “One of the policemen that turned up had a gun and I joked with the officer that if only I had that when the guy grabbed the medal I could have just shot him. “I am thinking of contacting Sandy Jardine to see if I can borrow his medal, and maybe I can have a copy of it done as a tattoo. “I was pretty upset, but you just need to get on.” Alex made over 500 appearances and won a dozen trophies during his 12 years at Rangers. Born in Kinning Park, Glasgow, Alex was instrumental in the side’s triumphant 1972 European campaign when they lifted the cup with a 3-2 victory over Moscow Dynamo at the Nou Camp. Alex said: “It was one of the greatest moments of my life.” He and Christine now live in Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire. The couple have three children and three grand-children.
