Am I the only one that thinks the transfer embargo, vile as it is could have been worse. After all we've got a month and a bit to get some players signed. We've got a few good pros (fucking legends in my opinion) left and some talented youngsters so we just need a few players of 1st or 2nd div quality to tide us over til the ban runs out, surely that can't be beyond us. There are plenty of players out there that would be honoured to pull on a Rangers shirt, it still means something to more folk than the SFA/SPL will ever know. Apologies if this was covered in other topics. Be strong people, we'll be the death of these buggers yet.

As I understand it, and I'm ready for the huge neg rep that's coming my way, there is a good chance that these letters may exist. If the players do not have them then they are liable for any tax payment not us, so of any players do have them it's a good bet they will have provided them when asked. Personally I'd rather like to see some of the ship jumping bastards get their comeuppance through not having one. That would make me but my guy feeling is there will be a few at least that come out after the FTT. And we all know how little an excuse wil be needed to continue the persecution of Scotland's greatest ever team. Use the money in the FF to take the SPL to court. Have a judge stop the SPL season starting and sit back and laugh as the diddies go bust. They'll be begging to let us back in in no time. At that point WE should be the ones setting conditions.

Needs to be looked at to be honest. As I said on another thread we've been caught wih our pants down too many times. Far from ideal I know but we should at the very least have a plan to do this if it comes down to it. Rangers are the support and we decide who The real Rangers are. No one else has that power. I'd rather we keep going as we were but I don't think having a plan with the requirements, rules, costs etc ready will harm us. Not having one just might. Not a happy thought but those have been few and far between these last few months.

I think it's something we need to at least seriously consider. We've been caught out too many times already not being prepared to deal with the jealously and hatred we inspire so I wouldn't be too surprised if the diddys do try to shaft us. Set up? Don't really see how. The big tax case is one thing, no decision either way yet and I think it'll come back in our favour, at least partially. But I dont think there is much denying Whyte withheld payment. Unless someone knows different, I can't see how we were tricked into non payment

Not a happy thought but I think we need to at least consider the possibility. We've been caught flat footed a couple of times, need to look at some worst case scenario options. Maybe buy out a small club and rebrand? You're right it won't be a popular thought but if we don't plan for the worst case an it does come about then we'd have to blame ourselves, at least in part. What teams wod be vulnerable to a take over? How much wold it cost to buy out a second div team for example. How quickly could we raise the money and who would be in charge.

I get where you are coming from but I think getting players in is going to be a matter of urgency. Not too long for til the league starts and if we can't field a team we are screwed. It looks like we'll have quite a few to replace, thank god for Ally, he'll have a few players in mind no doubt. We need to show some love to the guys that come to us, let them know we don't forget those that help is as well as those that harm us.
