  1. I doubt Defoe has anywhere near the amount of knowledge on opposition like a McCann does. McCann takes in a lot of football and studies the game like a complete geek I know his nephew and he told me how engrossed he is with the game when I was saying I enjoy his contributions to RTV.
  2. Not bad mate, getting by! Yourself? I don't think you need to worry because Derek McInnes will be nowhere near it as number 1 or coach. GVB can't really afford and slip ups because the importance of the games coming up. He will need someone in there who knows the game up here. The only way he could take the job with nobody who fits that description would be if he was starting in pre-season imo.
  3. Stop bringing him up then please. My vote counts just as much as anyones.
  4. The game up here hasn't changed much, still 11 v 11 with 2 goals and a baw. The opposition will play like it's their cup final and boot utter fuck out us if they are allowed. I think Gary Mac was only brought in because Gerrard sees him as one of his mentors and being Scottish was also a plus point.
  5. McCann is meticulous at identifiying players and what threat they will pose. Even players breaking through he has a wealth of knowledge and would be excellent as a coach in GVB's team. Sure he has struggled as a manager but some people just aren't up to the top job and plenty drop into the coaching side. Gary MaC and Jimmy Nicholl are 2 I can think of. If GVB doesn't tap into McCann's or another coach who knows the game up here as well as he does then I think he might struggle domestically at times. He needs someone who identifies a big 6ft 7" beanpole who comes on late to try and score from a set piece. How teams play their corners and free kicks and if goalies have any weaknesses. We have scraped a few games by the odd goal so whilst we need to improve attacking we can't afford to switch off at the back any more than we do already. Having players on the pitch who know the game is great but they can only influence the game so much, one thing we badly lack is someone who can dictate a game. Having someone in his ear who knows his stuff is invaluable imo
  6. Who actually gives a fuck what this fat cunt thinks?
  7. It is like winning the league at Leicester then getting the sack, it's just not going to happen as you would be a King...... Oh wait, that is the kind of thing I despise about that overrated shit-show of a league
  8. Of course the chance to play for him would be an attractive proposition at first and you'd want to impress and try your best to get in his team. Even before Katic was injured he was being fucked around. Gerrard telling the press he 'loved' him then when he made a mistake he was quickly out the team. Goldson could make countless mistakes but would never be dropped. Yeah Ross McCrorie, i'm not saying he was good enough but Gerrard made a show of publicly criticising the previous management and how they could have ruined him, whilst praising him himself only to fuck him off later on. It's the same now with the boy Kelly, had him involved all pre-season and the boy did well then the season starts and the boy doesn't get near it. I'm not claiming to know the players thought that he was a prick but he treated us with contempt and if that is anything to go by then there is a fair chance some of them do.
  9. All our signings have been reading off scripts for as long as interviews existed. I'm not saying it wouldn't be a factor but people seem to overstate the relevance. Look at what he has done to boys like Katic and McCrorie, he's built them up then fucked them off. See if my boss was a celebrity who I idolised growing up but was a prick in real life? Guess what? I'd think he was a prick. Respect should be earned and not taken for granted. It's not like the players have been leaving everything out on the pitch and running through brick walls for him. They have been playing within their shells outwith a few games such as Motherwell away.
  10. Been trying to get this message across for days. People seem to think that our players who have grew up working their arse off to get to Rangers will not be able to operate because the next manager might not be as famous as Gerrard
  11. Away with that shite, it's all in the handshake.
  12. Me and my boy were absolutely beeling that night at the Hamilton game. As you say the atmosphere was poison and he'd have been sacked for sure if that season continued.
  13. It's great on the face of it but hopefully they are sitting down discussing the finer details now and we get it done quickly one way or another. What we can't have is us making a big show of making him number 1 target only for him to say no when he discusses finances etc. Surely to fuck we get it done.
  14. Has anybody heard who the other candidates on the shortlist?
  15. To be fair it seems to be you getting your knickers in a twist when you see posters sharing Fabrizios tweets and discussing his credibility.
