  1. I just saw the crowd was only 32,000 so fair assumption that far fewer of us go to the game after their recent behaviour. I know I don't care about Scotland the way I did in the past, won't be back at a match while the current lot are in control. Not that I want them to lose just don't care as much after everything we have been through recently and the way they have treated us.
  2. Had a look at the Abraaj Capital site, looks a sizeable operation but I can't see the investment being through them, looks like a personal investment by Naqvi if he is the chap. Hard to tell how much he personally is worth from their site as it talks about funds managed but no idea how much of that is his own money. Interested to see how this develops over the next week or so no that his name is in the open.
  3. Interesting that there is a consensus that we need to be successful for these investors to make money. It looks like its going to be easier for them to make money with the reduced cost base in Div3 plus cup games than it was when we were winning SPL and playing in Europe. Hope to see a prospectus for the share offer soon, any ideas if they are going to offer full shares or try the non voting con trick that Glazer pulled with the Man U IPO?
  4. Saw that 25% of the ESPN games (10 of 40) were to be 3 of outr home and 7 of our away games, any info on what, if any, money we get for these games?
  5. I am currently agnostic on Green, but concerned about how he expects to make a profit. We have hardly made a profit of any sorts over the last 5 - 10 years with Champ Lg money, I wonder what sort of bus plan he has that will make a profit in Div 3? I can see it if we consistently produce and sell decent players but is that the best we can expect, to be a selling club. As to his FD saying the club was worth £50m?
  6. Totally agree with you, in 10 years time we need to be able to say that we came back with dignity and pride intact by coming through the leagues. Never know the bastards might even let us have the TV money we are due by then.
  7. Good point well made. We need clarity here and some way to get our point across. Remind people about the tawdry SPL Sky deal just done, stand up for our rights. If this had been nipped in the bud years ago when the Labour party started pandering to the catholic vote we would have avoided a lot of grief. We sat back, ex owner and board to blame and let the scum claim the moral high ground. Wouldn't take much if everyone chipped in £5 or £10 a month we could fund something reasonable. Would only take a small fraction of the number who were in Manchester to raise a reasonable amount, important that it is not all just down to the same group of match goers who already put more than most into the club. Interested to hear what others think, but this looks like a good idea to me.
  8. Gutted. Thought it was tomorrow and missed out on 4/5 at Hills on Pana. Still decent odds on Moscow against Utd on Thurs night
  9. Of course a businessman wants to make money. Can you name many who have made money from football clubs? I just fail to see how Green and co expect to make money from Rangers unless its from us as fans. If thats the case it means that money we could otherwise be putting in to the long term interests of the team is instead going to these faceless investors. I agree they are due a return but how much? 100%, 200%? or to put in in numbers how much of our money do they want to walk away with, £5m, £10m or more? That is money that will not go into youth development, or wages or running the club bit will go out of the club. So in my opinion there are doubts about Green but no bad will as yet, I just think the sooner they name their price the cheaper it will be for us.
  10. Regards to the OP, clearly we all support our teams with equal passion regardless of the numbers involved. The sad thing is I can no longer say the same to the supporters of the remaining SPL and 1 SFL clubs, they know who they are, and along with the SFA I hope they come to learn that revenge is truly a dish best served cold.
  11. Lets be realistic, Green is only here to make money. In my opinion the sooner he and his investors are gone the better. We, as a support failed to buy the club, and he did a (dubious?) deal with d&p. The only remaining question is how much ransom he expects to extract from us for his possession of our club. The best way to support the team is to buy week 2 week tickets IMO, until such time as Green is honest about who owns the club and what they expect to gain from it. He said at the start of July that he would do this and it has still not happened. Until he does I will have my doubts. I hope I am wrong but I fear we will pay a heavy price for this man's control of our club, in the same way that Murray and Whyte will be remembered as scum who betrayed our traditions.
