Think it’s mad that people think the board were completely transparent with Gerrard in regards to transfer funds. In no way am I sticking up for the rat here btw but It was evident this year after we qualified for PSV that Gio was under the impression he would be given money to spend which never materialised & he had to backtrack on.
I had an ex player (9IAR era) tell me it was to be him on Monday night too. Seems to be some traction to it tbh. Could be wrong of course but he was certainly under the impression we had already sounded him out & that’s who was to get the job.
Fully aware of that! Doesn’t mean some guy who’s sole experience in professional football is Livingston has a better CV than somebody who’s been involved with top clubs.
Something not quite right with him though. I like him, think he speaks well & is a big fan of the club but the way he left Kelty was weird, and seemingly he’s interviewed for a couple of half decent jobs in Scotland but hasn’t got them.
I don’t think Beale needs somebody Scottish, that makes no sense, he’s from England, absolutely lives for football & has been here for 3 years.. he knows exactly what Rangers are about.
His number two would have to be a decent man manager for me though. I’m not a massive fan of Beale getting the job but he is tactically sound, I just can’t see the manager in him yet.
Aye defo, it’s a risk obviously as it leaves us open to losing him for nothing if he does well but we can’t be in a position where 6 months in we need a new manager and are having to pay millions just to get rid of him.
Genuinely don’t have a clue, all I know is I was told tonight by someone I would expect to know that it was gonna be Beale, since then I’ve seen others of the same understanding.
I know you’re feelings on TID & I have no clue if we’ve been speaking to him all day or not, but there being no contact between the clubs means nothing. You know full well that there’s always conversations had, albeit normally indirectly, before any sort of approach is made.
There seems to be a few under the same impression that agreements are in place with Beale.
