  1. We didn't have our best day on Sunday - But I think the 5-1 win and the 0-3 agains QOS were excellent results marked with some excellent play. I don't think one game (or even 3 games is a trend). We have a large squad, with a lot of changes, and Ally has to try our different things and deal with different 'issues' - like Black being suspended. Now the large squad is there to deal with those types of issues and so far it has and its not like you to be overly pessimistic so I was surprised at your tone of 'What went wrong' ....... er not a lot (IMHO !!)

On a similar point - I do think people minimise how long it takes for a squad to really gel - and given that we are early days with 8 new players - 4-5 of which can make a good case as first picks then I think while we are winning then we should be more supportive than critical - but we are all Football Managers anyway and we do know better than every manager we ever had! :pipe:

so on that basis ally made a balls up of chucking them all in and is it correct to dump players that was on a great run of form for the new players, if people wasnt critical nothing would improve, it would all stay the same plain and boring, the same as blaming the wind on sunday, why didnt ally take daly off replace him with clark and play a passing game. its cause ally is worried to change the way the team plays at a whimper, rather he plays players out of position rather than the best option

  2. Bell

    Foster McCulloch Mohsni Wallace

    Black

    Law Macleod

    Little Templeton

    Daly

Little and Templeton are best in advanced roles off the striker.

Foster because he will get forward more than Faure to support the attacks.

thats probably because faure is a natural cb and not rb, where his instincts tell him to sit back rather than attack

  3. Jig is far from brutal as CB - in fact only Moshni might be better than him in the squad just now and that has to be proven!

yeah so why is jig possible our seond best defender, then, you have to compare faure in this as he was part of the defence upto the 1st and i believe he was playing good football, the problem is too many new players in together and they all expected to gel. but more to your point if it is cause he is scoring goals that makes jig the second best defender that is what is wrong with your reasoning. cause then that would also mean jig is our best striker. he should be up front with faure in at cb with mohsni, i base this on the fact they both speak french and it could only be beneficial to the squad, jig up front with either clark or little going for knockdowns, and i also feel that mckay deserves his place on the park over temps at the minute, based on their performances of late. the opposition dont know how to play against mckay but seem to have temps card marked. 9 times out of 10 he cuts inside, loses ball or usually takes a punt and misses, losing the chance of building up the pressure. where as with mckay he darts over the park comes back now and again for the ball, sticks to outside then will cut in, looks for the pass more than the chance to shoot. that is a few reasons for his chance to play. drop foster for mcausland, yeah he is young but he was playing well and got the height for corners and dead ball situations,

  4. Again, its a rumour, and Jack Irvine seems to be an expert at spreading rumour etc to twist viewpoints. We are all susceptible to being influenced by this, but sometimes you have to take a step back.

The fact is bill miller was selected ahead of them so you are therefore saying that D&P was directly against tbk. Due to bill miller then Charles green both chosen ahead of tbk, is it more of a fact that these two groups offered more than tbk, rather than a rumour

  5. If I remember at the time, they said that D&P would not consider their bids as they had quickly agreed a preferred bidder status with Green. Have no idea if there is merit in this claim, but if true, its a bit harsh to state that they were not willing to put their on money up. They might just not have been able to. Would like this clarified before I belittle them for not caring enough.

I agree that the accounts are guesswork at the minute, but there can be some educated guesses into the state. Our intern results showed an operating loss of about £9m before one off items. This is fair enough if it costs allot to keep the club running, but we should be cutting costs as much as possible to keep us afloat. If we have turned it round and the results show we are sustainable, then great, I will support the board. If we are running at a significant operational loss and they are increasing the wage bill, paying huge bonuses and doing nothing to avert the major problems then I have an issue. We need the results to come out, and to be out in time to give us some steer one way or another.

Mather seems like a decent guy, I do believe he is trying to help us. Sometimes though, ego can really twist how you see things. He might think that he can turn around a bad situation if he gets time. This might be leading him to try and hide things from us and buy time. On the other hand, he might be doing a great job and we could be on the right tracks. We need the accounts to answer once and for all.

yes D&P maybe agreed preferred bidder status with green and co but Murray was on the scene at an off and the rumour was they had the lowest offer on the table with no backup option if the cva was rejected. Bill miller was accepted then chased away by clowns, the tbk would have In my opionion failed as they lacked funds and was always going to bank on a cva being agreed. So no Murray didn't put his money where his mouth was when we was in admin. That is his problem shouts about this and that without the funds to back it. I don't want him on the board as he was on the old company board when the problems were starting and not once has he came clean and apologised for any of it. He would imo sit there and take a wage for nothing

  6. Dont know to be honest. They want a controlling share, and it is perfectly viable that if shareholders back them, then they will be given this control. Nothing actually wrong with that is there?

Once they get control, they may want to invest money directly in the club in such a way that buying shares from existing shareholders would not do. If they were to hold onto their money and invest in a new share issue or something, then that would be more of a benefit to the club than just lining the pockets of investors who may have bought share at 1p.

Not saying that is their plan, as a justified criticism of Murray and McColl is that they have not made their plans clear. Im not convinced by them at all to be honest.

Fair enough reply but they want to force people off the board that put alot of their own money in that kept the club aloat, why did they not do this at the time, or even better why not actually make a decent offer when Murray was making claims he had this and that sitting to buy us when we was in admin. Would have got the club cheaper then than now. They give myself and several others the opinion of them being ifs and buts men. And currently we do not know for sure how bad the accounts are at the minute apart from what is from being said from Murray and rest of them. Tell me why would someone like Craig Mather put his own money in and let it go down the drain with admin. He would want to keep it as is without damaging the club. Only people that gives the look of damaging the club is Murray McColl and the rest. Fair enough they want what's good for the club maybe, but the way they are doing it is wrong

  7. Everyone badgers on about the easdales do this and do that, they ain't said what there plan is. End of the day they used their money and bought shares. But sandy never bought shares from club, it was from green. That most people on here wanted rid, now the man that done that the same people want rid. It not the easdales job to say what they plan to do with rangers, its the people that want in, we know that McColl and Murray and there crew don't want to spend a penny but want a controlling say in the club, am I correct or not. They can either stump up and say to the people they want rid of name ur price, or otherwise they can shut the fuck up and stop damaging the club for their own agenda. I mean come on Murray was on the old board that threw money away and he didn't do anything who is to say this time be different, he ain't came out that I remember to say hey sorry to the fans I never did anything to stop the spending, he wants a blazer and a seat in the directors box and board for absolutely nothing. So back the board and the people running the club till the agm and accounts are out at least

  8. The time is now for ally to decide if jig is defender or striker, for me personally he is a striker. Showed it today and the last game. So it either drop Daly or jig. No point in shoe horning players in and affect the balance of the team. And the problem today was to many new players played at once. Shoulda really been 3 or 4 players in keep the core of the team that been playing well recently and slowly put a new player in if that said player was worthy of his place

  9. Don't understand, how would this be a disaster, I can see the problem with Newcastle, our colours are red white and blue, I think it would have looked good. Money for old rope cause it's IBROX and they can call it any thing they want it will always be IBROX.

Exactly don't think anyone would have been calling it any different, bit like Newcastle when there name changed, was still st James park to them all. Free money chased away as far as I am concerned

  10. Did he really do that much wrong? not turning up for a reserves match against cambuslang rangers aint the end of the world he is only young

i would say along with constant injurys barely played a minutes football since he made his debut, was wlways making out to be better than the fans were on twitter

  11. hey there folks aint been to ibrox for some time money lack of and a baby to contend with, but is row A closest to pitch or furthest away and where is the best place to sit as heading along with a mate for the stenny game on the 28th sept
