Also there was no need to ever pass the ball back to the keeper. We had possession in their half.

I dont believe there was any footage of that penalty. I remember asking on a facebook group and was told there was none.
I remember being down at the very front of the Rangers end that day. The penalty was scored into the Sellick end, Must have been January 69?
1969 was certainly a 1-0 with a John Greig penalty on about the hour. My first and unforgettable.

What about Graham Roberts on Mojo, Jan '87, just about put him into the Govan.
Snowy day, Bonner dropped the ball for the second. Wonderful.
A little OT, but Sourness on the Steaua(?) guy will never be exceeded.

Truth is Barton's a cunt. If there was any possibility that his behaviour was anything other than cuntish then there would be no way he'd have accepted all the punishment levied his way without challenge or more being made of it by his representatives. Whatever your opinion of those that run the club are, at face value they've handled this the only way they could...without caving in and letting Barton behave like Billy big bollocks.
That's right but the amazing thing is that despite his history he was signed in the first place. With money tight whoever thought it would be a good idea to take a chance on someone with his record? Unbelievable.

The betting hearing is on 17 November. If found guilty and fined by the SFA the board will probably have grounds to dismiss him immediately for gross industrial misconduct, despite the fact that previous players were not. That's my take on why the suspension is continuing (if it is) and would save us money in the long term.
I hope you're right because we must look like a real bunch of idiots by now.

For all the good that MW has done you do have to question his judgement. Unfortunately like so many other managers his ego let him down with Barton. He thought he would be the one to change the leopard's spots, but they never do.
-
You're not seriously comparing Gascoigne to Barton. Did you ever see Gascoigne play?
-
Perhaps it all comes down to whether he's a wanker, or not, probably depends on if you ever actually saw him as a player?
-
He was a poor manager, no argument about that, but we shouldn't forget that there was no-one better around to hold the club together when the wheel came off. For that I'm grateful.

I was lucky enough to be at both Kiev and Inter games. The atmosphere v Kiev really was amazing and remember at the time they were virtually the USSR national side.

How anyone who watched the performances since the semi thought we would breeze through this league takes some understanding. Warburton is "credited" with being stuborn re tactics etc. Could it be that he doesn't actually know any different and this is the limit of his skills?

A. He was sent home (unofficially) to reflect as the manager didn't feel his words were appropriate
B. The as yet unidentified leak went to the Newspapers. All we know for definite is that only Rangers employees knew about the incident.
C. JB Stated on his twitter feed and before his interview with the media that his actions were "To respond to news reports circulating" He was defending his reputation. (Was he told not to?)
The guy was thrown under a bus by the leak.

I wasn't exactly delighted at the Mojo or Gazza signings but was proved completely wrong as they were both outstanding players for the club.
Barton is completely different and was never anything special in the first place, except in his own mind of course. He seemed to be an odd signing for Warburton who, I assume, felt he would bring something to the team. No-one should be surprised by this latest episode and the sooner he moves on the better. He will no doubt fill the twattersphere with all kinds of crap but thankfully most people in the UK already know what a pretentious prat he is.
I'm more than ever convinced that he knew he'd be found out in the EPL and saw a berth at Ibrox as a wind down to retirement.
-
Leaving this business aside I would much prefer that he wasn't here, and never had been, so the question of right and wrong doesn't enter into it.
-
Never wanted him in the first place and would've thought the manager had been around long enough to know that leopards don't change their spots very often, if ever at all. Just another mess.

You really don't understand at all though, that much is patently obvious.

Couldn't get a ticket and hate watching scum games on the tv so went to the Warriors v Leinster game. No segregation, alcohol freely consumed in the stands, no police presence. I wondered why football supporters couldn't be treated the same.
Then I heard about the toilets.
Then I came on here.
Now I understand.

As things stand I'll be pleased with a top four finish. What we're seeing now is just a continuation of last season and I'm tempted to think MW isn't as good as we first thought. As for Barton, anyone else would've been dropped after two games. I didn't want him and still don't, in fact it's been embarrassing seeing the way some of the support have been creaming themselves about a player who was once loosely on the fringe of the international scene but who otherwise is no better than dozens of other players down south. Maybe he thought Rangers would be an easier ride than Burnley in the EPL.
And no I'm not in a panic but blind faith isn't going to work.

Don't think they can be printed at home.

Didn't tell you what to do with your own cash, feel free to do whatever makes you happy. Just can't understand why it matters so much to have the latest.

Amazed just how important it seems to be to some people just to be seen in a new kit. As for the kids I suppose they have to get everything they want these days, why have them otherwise?

This might be as fit as he gets.

Trouble is we have form for squandering chances to rebuild. Those seasons in the lower leagues were an ideal opportunity for a fresh start. What happened; we played the likes of Jig (to name but one), week in week out. There are frightening similarities between now and then.
