The funny thing is that if you went on a Timmy board or generally speak to them, they will tell you that Radio Snyde panders to Rangers all the time.

It is simply the way of the Old Firm nowadays. (tu)

  2. I hear that the infamous pilot from 2005 has asked for, and been given, the Helicopter gig for Sunday.

Lets hope the helicopter needs no change of direction this weekend and can set off at half time due North east to Dundee.

    :gerbad:

  3. 9 in a row was a monkey off our back.....despite having "done it" previously. We now face an altogether different monkey though and we need the cash otherwise things are going to get tougher.

Very difficult one for me but i have to just plump for 9 IAR. I will never forget that feeling when Laudrup banged his head on Charlie Millers cross.

    :praise:

  4. A few days ago D,Artagnan had a post asking for the words of a poem which finished---

" we,re the Glasgow Rangers still meeting every test

You,re the Glasgow Celtic and you,re still second best"

Someone posted the words of the complete poem so I imagine they had saved it from the original post.

I have a strange request----- I think I wrote that poem as it sounds familiar to me.

I don,t want to claim credit for something I might not have done but if there are gold medals going I want my share.

Does whoever posted the complete poem have the original post on their file and is it my name???

and before anyone passes the smart ass answers-- the word you,re all thinking off is senile.

I will settle for a pint my friend ;)

  5. The linesman plays no further part in anything so if the Heralds article says he does, then its plain wrong.

Dougal has now stated he doesnt feel it was a red card and it is now down to the Review Panel to have a look at the tape. The Review panel, made up of ex players, referees and officials will not include Dougal or any of the officials who were at the match on Saturday.

At the end of the review, they will conclude as to wether or not they feel the contact was dangerous enough to warrant a red card and if they feel it wasnt then the card may be reduced to nothing or yellow leaving Boogie free to play.

Im not sure why, as the ref has turned it around, but i just feel the panel will keep it as a red for some reason. I dont however buy into the Paranoia aspect of it.

Either way, play or not, we have good enough players to go out and hammer United so we had better do it. If we dont, then only one dik is to blame and thats the dinosaur himself (tu)

  6. Would you care to give me a sample of policies inherently opposed to freedom and democracy? :pipe:.

Surely the BNP who opposes the freedom of people they dont like cannot be surprised or annoyed when another group oppose the BNP's attendance of a function because they dont like them.

Is it not really just giving them a taste of their own medicine.

Simply playing devils advocate by the way cause i detest all politicians including anyone who wants to be a politician. For me, their should be a law that says instant death penalty for anyone who says they want to be a politician. :craphead:

  7. what????????????????

leave the tims to next season?

    punish us now?????

    what???????????????????

    that cant be right.

by conspiracy theorists do you mean ewank cameron and the selik faithful? fucking trHamps.

so whats the score, will lafferty be out? im expecting a 3 match ban, BUT not till next season!

ewank cameron as you call him, defends us more than any other pundit ive listened to. He might at times talk shite but he certainly doesnt bow down to Timmy.

    IMHO of course...

  8. What you have quoted is a slightly different scenario from what we have with Rangers. You are using a scenario of achieving something in addition to what the target is at the end of the quarter.

If you agree the bonus with your sales force and they are not quite there towards the end of the quarter, would you say, "You are almost there guys. Have some more bonus on top of what you are already trying to achieve. You need to sell more to achieve that bonus that we agreed, but have some more on top of that just to make sure."?

That's no way to run a business. The salemen make more money by not achieving their target until the last possible moment, and that will be in their minds come the next quarter.

Having read your answer i agree the scenario above is slightly different in hindsight.

Anyways, was only trying to stir some debate and looks like i have.... Im just desperate to do anything to get that flag back and i guess im scared of the "What if" scenario.....

Heres to 52, no matter how we get it. :21:

  9. What's the point in agreeing a bonus structure at the beginning of the season if you are going to ignore it and throw more money at it?

It's just giving cash away at a time when we can't afford it. There will be a bonus in place. The players don't need any more than that.

    Are you Martin Bain?

If we put football aside for one minute hear for the purpose of this hypothetical question.

I have a sales force and i agree their bonus system prior to the beginning of each quarter which tends to be based on me paying them their On Target Earnings for hitting our budgeted figures PLUS 10%. Half way through the quarter, i get hit with a huge bill that i need to cover which means i need to now find another £100k of revenue in order to get me back toi my starting point. What do i do.

    a) Remind the guys they are lucky to work for me and be in a job so go and find £100k

    b) Create an additional incentive scheme that costs me £5,000 but delivers £105,000

I also ask again, if anyone went into their work tomorrow, no matter how much you loved your job and how proud you were to work for such a great company, if your boss offered you an extra 3 or 4 weeks wages if you achieved a target he gave you over 90 minutes, would you give that bit extra to achieve it ? I personally would and have no qualms about saying so.

As for me being Martin Bain..... I wish i had the privelidge of being in his job ;)

As for me defending Martin Bain to the hilt GCL. I think i have only done that once and have said on loads of occassions that i dont know fully what he does but i reserve judgement on him rather than making shit up just to beat him with.... :sherlock:

  10. If they need £30,000 to get them up for this then they aren't worthy of the jersey.

Jim Baxter will be baulking in his grave at the thought of this.

Im sure when i went to see Baxter and Johnston he said he left Rangers for money first time around actually. Something to do with what other players were on in other leagues who couldnt lace his boots. :sherlock:

Aye, but £30,000 on top of their already awesome wages to win a league?

    Give me a break!

Well it was just a hypothetical question but even one of our best ever was clearly motivated by money (tu)

  12. I think we should all remember that the 18 on the squad on Sunday are all human beings like you and I. Their careers are typically 25 years shorter than your average working man, though i agree some are paid obscene amounts of money.

If your boss come in to all of you tomorrow and offers you an extra months wages for giving a little extra for 90 minutes tomorrow, how many of you would up your ante by an extra 10/20%

  13. Well what are you on about saying that because we give the players extra money they will win the game?

No what i am saying is that if they WIN the game, we pay out £500k but we are then guaranteed £10 million from CL.

They wouldnt get paid it if they failed mate (tu)

  14. £540k ---> guaranteed £10m

    seems ok to me.

    It wouldn't be guaranteed.

    How come ?

Well they would still need to go out and do the job,you could pay me and my mates 10 million doesen't mean we will go out and win a game of football,of course the players will want to but there is no guarantees that just giving them money will make them win. And the league should be tied up by now,i would hate to see them get that sort of money as a bonus,to tell the truth they have let us down countless times this season and they owe us it to go out and win it without £30,000

    :mutley:

wtf are you blabbing on about

  15. Now before i start, it has to be remembered that some of these games may change home/away as you are never

    Thought i would revisit this........

If you swap the Hibs(h) with Hearts(a) for the Gers due to the change of venues then so far im spot on

    Rangers

    Hibs (a) = 3 pts (tu)

    Hearts (h) = 3 pts (tu)

    Timmy (h) = 3pts (tu)

    Hibs (a) = 1pt (tu)

    Aberdeen (h) = 3pt (tu)

    United (a) = 1 pt

    14 pts total

    Timmy

    Aberdeen (h) = 3 pts (tu)

    Aberdeen (a) = 3 pts (tu)

    Us (a) = 0 pt (tu)

    United (h) = 3pts (tu)

    Hibs (a) = 1pt (tu)

    Hearts (h) = 3 pts

    13 pts total

I hope though i get the last 3 wrong now.... :anguish:

    10 correct out of 10.......

    Aw nooooooo :anguish:
