We've done alright without him post-split.
I know he played against Celtic & we won, but he also missed the Hearts game and we won. Played V's Hibs & we drew. We scored our two goals today AFTER he went off.
Sounds strange...but we haven't really missed him! Assuming there's no appeal and we have to play without him, it may not be as bad a blow as we think! Yes we'll need our top players, but we could do it without him!

True enough that Miller has missed his share of sitters this year, but his efforts have been crucial in keeping this race as tight as it is (imho). If everyone on this squad gave as much as he did every time out, we'd already be holding that trophy aloft.

A lot of people on here and elsewhere have been saying for a long time that someone should challenge the song in court of law in order to prove it ok and i would imagine the same people would want no-one else but Donald to be taking this case on as you know he will do everything in his power to overturn it.
If however, the appeal fails and the conviction stands, the result, due to its high profile will give the authorities something to beat Rangers with yet again.
Are the people who support the singing of the song, willing to confine it to the bin, if DF cannot turn the decision around to ensure the Club cannot get into trouble ?

Smith isn't a tim, he just seems to be a sub par ref like most in Scotland.
How exactly can you blame the ref for our first half performance? And Novo's misses?
You could even say our goal was a foul on Makalamby.

To be fair to Edgar, he did try and come on here and talk about the Trust and was met with as much criticism as Christine has in this thread, I can understand why he didn't bother coming back on.
There's far too much bad blood between a lot of bears on here, elsewhere and a certain site, until said site isn't seen as the voice box of the Trust those people will continue to view the Trust as a sinking ship and attack it from all angles.
To be fair to the members on here, then like in this thread, a lot of questions and frustrations were thrown out to David Edgar and he couldnt or didnt answer them, much like COTW in this thread.

I wasn't critisizing members on here, something tells me you knew that but had to insinuate that anyway. Edgar came on and was giving it full barrels on here and some of it was justified - some wasn't (certainly not from a bona fida Murrayite like yourself)
The RST in its current form is kaput as far as I'm concerned, but the mud slinging that has went back and forth from either side on here will do none of us any favours. Yet to see a solution to the fued from any side that you so clearly delight in.

I can't say how they got there, but there were deffo thousands of wee tricolours on display in the Broomie Front.
They were waiting for the gates to open, as soon as they did they entered and set out the display, they had a bout 30 guys setting it out so it didn't take longer than 15 mins.

I've asked the question and they say the flags were brought with them allegedly, but they were still allowed to put them on every seat by all accounts !

So the RST won't comment on other forums because everyone won't say "a well done from this bear" and move on. That is dissapointing to say the least. Are you that used to a forum where you would get banned for saying anything negative about the RST you are unable to speak up for yourselves (although the pair of you have done fine here)
As for linking names to usernames, look up david RST on here and read his posts, he did the exact same thing to me (and got it wrong) it's petty bullshit and i don't care but you shouldn't act like butter wouldn't melt when the opposite can be true.
To be honest i'm not that interested in the VB stuff, it's the RST that i want to discuss here and any actual points made in this thread have been passed over in favour of discussing the petty bullshit.
Have to say that whilst im on the VB guys side as far as views on the RST are concerned, a few of the comments in this thread also highlight, for me, that i wouldnt want them to be representing me....or at least the individuals making certain comments or holding certain views.
I dont know a lot about VB to be honest and my real beef is with the RST. I still cant believe we dont have the numbers. Im not even sure if, as a Provident Society, they have a duty to disclose their numbers.
Cant be bothered asking anymore only to be asked about my membership number and address. They must be HIGHLY embarrassed about something

I believe I said something along these lines in a private e-mail. I'll look out who I sent it to so I know what I'm dealing with here. Pretty underhand tactics if you ask me. To answer your question, I was going to resign but found there was no substance to the stories I had been told.
COTW you misunderstand. I am not talking about private chat by email. You stated at the board meeting on 11 June 2008 (you were late for that board meeting, weren't you?) that you were minded to resign. You blamed the fallout from the formation of the new committee. But then you agreed to stay until the special general meeting. More leaks than the piggery's roof!

Of all the points raised, questions asked and opinions stated she (cooperonthewing) choses for the first time in pages of this thread to come back on this point. Does that not just say it all.
So what have I missed then? More accusations of being a liar, more language such as tee-shirt tout, egotists and profiteers? I was accused of lying about gassing comments until I put up the actual post, then it was just a throwaway line on a message board. I may have got the circumstances wrong about the lead up to the situation but the truth was that several of these people turned up to see a 'meeting' with a Tim from the Scotsman message board. It's not what I would call normal or sensible behaviour. What did they hope to achieve? I also have a screenshot of another post by the guy called Lutheran which threatens fellow Bears. If you think that's acceptable so be it. There was also the innuendo about my 'forgetfulness with money', in reference to a time when my son was ill and my mother had been diagnosed with cancer. I know they weren't to know that but there was no need for these comments. As I said earlier, I'm sure there are a lot of good Bears on Vanguard and I have read a lot of good articles but there are a few on there that I have a problem with. The obsession with the RST and, in particular, Mark Dingwall is unhealthy. Far be it for me to stick up for Mark. He's big enough and ugly enough to do that for himself. However to call him these names when FF is his business, and therefore his livelihood, is plain stupid. No-one forces anyone to buy the fanzine or indeed tee-shirts. And lastly (as 24 has just started) I could easily have got a bunch of my friends to come on here to have a go just like they have done but I have chosen not to.
