Just can't see this working out but would be happy for the lad if he is a success.

Admin and liquidation. The walking away. Transfer embargo. Sitting at Ibrox not knowing who some of these young lads were. September came. Free transfers. Nicky Law, Jon Daly, Bilel Mohsni and Nicky Clark.
The football improved. Aye there was some bad signings surprise surprise.
Not being an accountant like Brian Stockbridge I can actually understand Ally thinking the IPO and season ticket money may have allowed him some leeway to sign some free transfers he reckoned may be decent squad players on the way back to the top.

I'd like to see Barrie McKay coming through. Watched Aird on the left and Mckay on the right in one game and had high expectations for both.So of those 56 pros, almost half have never played any first team football, another chunk haven't been progressed to our under 20 side yet we're just to throw them in at the deep end?
No rule says they have to be used but the manager has been quoted (as was the last one and several others) as saying that it should be something that is earned (like Murdoch and Telfer have recently) and not simply thrown in to make up the numbers. Quite a few coaches and managers have went on the record that simply throwing kids into the squad to make numbers up can harm their development as the player can often feel that they have 'made it'.
Would like to see wee Barrie back doing it for the first team one day.

I understand that.At this level would you not expect these players to look good/decent when up against mainly part-timers earning a fraction of what we're shelling out.?
I do expect it and the results validate my expectations.

You'd think Ally was just signing and bringing on duffers by the way some moaning minnies go on.
Look at the dross some of the other Scottish clubs have brought in over the past 2 seasons. Paying millions in some cases.
Also look at the points and goal difference advantage we have right now when we still have a team who were forced to be thrown together last minute along with whatever free transfers were available.
Get real for fucks sakes !

Bottom line is Ally has been the figurehead of this club for the last 2 years. The only consistency apart from Jig as captain.
Have they been overpaid? Not compared to some of the CEO's and Directors who have come and gone and not withstood the same pressure IMO.
Could we afford those wages? Obviously we couldn't afford those wages the board decided was the going rate at the time.
I'm guessing Ally is having a dig at Green and those that Green brought in with his comments here.
If a new manager had been brought in and struggled we would have gone into a tailspin.
Let McCoist and Wallace get on with it. Wallace has given himself a deadline to bring change. A pretty brave one at that I would say.

I think sometimes people forget that admin last time was caused by one man holding back tax etc.
Just trying to add some perspective to the worry about admin.
It's not all doom and gloom. Glasgow Rangers have a long way to go and a lot of titles to add yet.
We don't have a bad wee haul as it is.

The last admin was brought on by failure to pay our taxes as far as I can see. Craig Whyte's defence that he didn't have to pay PAYE and NI because it was standard practice in big business is the mark of the man and proves how desperate SDM was to offload.
I'd imagine even with a dubious FD like Stockbridge our taxes are up to date and filed with Lizzie. No EBT's this time around to worry about.
Wallace is taking the bull by the horns and will hopefully will not let go like Mr Green did. With Green and Whyte out of the way I have every confidence the board are going to lead us forward no matter how painful.
Let the man do his job.

In the couple of times I've seen him play at Ibrox he looked a bit nervous and tense.
Always get the feeling he has the ability and if he had even half the confidence of Mohsni could prove to be a decent player for us.
