  1. Same for me.

Forgive me if I wont get too excited watching Ally and the boys run around the stadium, fist pumping and back slapping after grinding out a part time league against bakers, butchers and candlestick makers!!

Would love to be talking about relishing seeing how some of our younger players will progress next season with a couple of good additions. Talking about the new attacking style Ally has implemented with us moving up the leagues. Instead you know you are just sitting waiting on the ultimate car crash to happen..and it will.

    The crash already happened.

Ally was there at the time. He's still there.

  2. The only Excellent votes in this can be his loyalty and media handling which says it all really.

Aye, but understanding of football through experience wasn't given as an option GF.
  3. I don't need to sign up to any group to support Rangers.

The only ones in these groups who seem to retain interest are the ones who need some sort of cause or are just ham shanking their own egos.

    Just MO of course.

  4. Yes but at the same time he's been given the easiest gig in the history of this club, what he has been asked to do thus far is a cake walk.

He's been given SPL funds to win lower league titles.

He's shown he tends to waste what little money we give him.

He can't get his teams to play with any kind of consistancy.

He can't change a game when it's not going our way.

That'll do me. Nuff said. (tu)
  5. He clearly has blown every cup competition he has entered so far...

Here we go again with this Admin pish

"Oor Ally has dealt with things no other manager in oor history...." Blah Blah Blah

He's good at a wee speech and rallying the fans aye but rallying his players and getting them playing good football? Not a chance.

    He's a nothing manager.

Every competition he has entered bar the lower league pish he has choked/bottled.

    He's not got it.

    A nothing manager GF?

A new manager. A manager operating under exceptional circumstances. You call Ally a nothing manager GF? You call our manager a nothing manager?

  6. Of course it's not all plain sailing but for 3 seasons now we have been making the same mistakes and the football on show has not improved.

I'm not seeing a single thing from our manager that tells me he can cope with the demands of this job.

We can't afford to waste anymore money and McCoist with our budget gives me the fear..he does the same as before and wastes that then god help us in the future.

Fair enough. Think it's going to be taking a few sore ones on the way back yet. Gonna be worth it though.
  7. What is a big ask?

Winning games in this division with our squad and resources is no big ask at all...it's something any manager could do given who we are up against.

No one expects samba football but we expect to play with two strikers against part time teams...

We expect to have players up the pitch at a corner kick...

We expect to not bore the paying support into submission with the sheer lack of entertainment...

It's a big ask asking youngsters to play at Ibrox and give their best. Vilifying lower league teams doesn't cut it in that situation when they have experienced players who have nothing to lose. Often ex pros.

I have many reservations about Ally's tactics.

Still. We have our league and our cup runs this season...............Forfar notwithstanding.....

Some half Scottish teams have been knocked out of more cups than us this season GF. It isn't always plain sailing....

  8. McCoist has spent a fortune on players who the majority were terrible and offered very little to the side.

The only ones who have improved us are Law, Beil and Templeton.

The guff he has spent decent wages on like Foster, Sandaza, Kyle, Faure, The greek, Smith, Peralta, Cribari ect have offered nothing to us bar bleeding us of money.

Why was he going for the big wage players in the worst leagues in Europe? Why did he not do what most lower league teams do and bleed youngsters?

It's because McCoist requires to have a far better team than anyone else because he has no talent as a manager to motivate players or change games tactically. He's shown more often than not when the chips are down he can't handle managing The Rangers.

People go on like winning games and titles in these joke divisions is a great achievement, it's not…it's the minimum requirements based on what we have and what we are facing. Give McCoist a pressure situation and 9 times out of 10 he bottles it.

Still, you can't say for sure that the young players you talk of, or this 'other' manager you talk of could have done better than Ally under the circumstances.

As you say. It's a big ask. One that Ally and his players, (our manager and players), are proving with results.

The football I'm not getting excited about, but then again, I always prefer MOTD to Sportscene because of the footballing spectacle.

  9. It's the same posters as it's always been.

They will never see what the majority of bears see, which is sad tbh.

I thought the Rangers was more improtant than one man.

So you think we haven't brought in some decent players who have improved the team on last season.

Free transfers. Regardless of wage costs they were the only players available on 'frees'..

Hardly the pick of the crop. Not going to argue about Ally pre admin, but he has had to deal in the market he was forced to.

  10. I agree with BP9 from the standpoint of remembering exactly what it felt like when the hammer fell after Whyte.

A transfer embargo in place through 2 windows and the club in absolute turmoil. Ally said he wouldn't walk away and he has stayed true to his word. The subsequent wage revelation embarrassment and the lack of entertaining football hasn't swayed me from my own word that I would give Ally until the embargo was lifted and he had the chance to build a team without having his hands tied.

Things haven't went the way most of us expected on or off the pitch as usual yet I still won't be calling for Ally's head despite off and because of this.

Stenhousemuir on Saturday had me questioning Ally seriously for the first time regardless of the unbelievable ref. Haven't read any reports about Stranraer as yet as was on nightshift.

Sure I'd welcome McInnes with open arms tomorrow, but remembering the feelings of 2 years ago I still won't be campaigning for Ally's head.

If he wants to stay to get us back to the top league then fairplay to him, but I agree he wouldn't take us any further and I have a strong feeling he may feel the same if he's still in charge when that time comes.
