  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnzbQWFw7QI 2015 unite and destroy!
  2. Been in his company and he certainly has a soft spot for us. Would not want him here all the same. Good news is now Park is involved I very very much doubt that little cretin davies will be near my club. Dont ask why I know, just an opinion. ;-)
  3. just got my booze in, been off it for a while as the football makes me depressed and the booze does not help, but hey ho I will have a few tonight to drown out this last year and toast to a brighter future. This may be the first day of a new dawn for us. By christ we deserve it.
  4. those that have watched their shares plummet in price, maybe will be rewarded for hanging in there (fans may i add, not the wigs)
  5. Hope you all have a nice one, next year cant get any worse regarding football matters surely. Change all round will be my new years wish with a certain man manager bringing some credibility back to my club. Heres to 2015!
  6. nicky was on nearer 1k, he was one of the biggest earners at motherwell, the bonus structure was based on getting to top six and increased the further up the table they went. Due to McCalls team finishing 3rd, 2nd then 2nd its true they have been paid good bonuses. on the other hand a team like rangers should not be paing massive wage bonuses for beating the likes of queens park. We should be paying bonuses on silver ware delivered. Sad our players got bonuses for getting to a diddy cup final. Should have only got a bonus if they won it. But hey im not the manager.
  7. Do you think he would have settled in under our coaches?
  8. peeps glad to see the back of law and some even saying wallace too are missing the bigger picture in my view. law was on peanuts at motherwell not his fault Ally decides to quintuple his wages plus add a massive win bonus for beating the shite we played last year. Also was never coached properly so if he is going, good luck you are a better player than what we have seen, And dont expect him to be playing in a midfield 2. Unless Ally gets the Huddersfield job.
  9. see when an debate resorts to this as a reply it means you have lost the arguement, thats ok its late. On your other thread you dont want me to bring up quotes thats ok, But I would ask anyone who thinks Davies a Man Manager to look into what Paul Smith has to say about him and his 3 day a week job he done at Notts Forest. We need a hands on manager with good coaching abilitys, one that can work wonders with a budget, Thats why this bear prefers the name McCall over that of Davies.
  10. i think you must be, but hey we all have our favourites
  11. they said to you davies is a better manager/ coach than mccall?
  12. read his quote, it is what it is, money talks eh! As for those in the game would rate davies better than mccall, then if i throw this back at you, who are they? my view is opposite from yours regarding who is best suited for our club but unless you have quotes regarding pundits saying such, then its an irrelevant remark with no substance you have made. bare with me as I fix spelling errors, one to many drambuies
  13. I cant see the club shifting many xmas half season books for that reason.
  14. We both obviously rate success differently fella, those in the game rate budget against achievements. Allys record is magnificent on paper regarding winning two league championships but due to his player budget it is some what weakened. Hence why Davies got the boot from 5 of his jobs, relatively successful but not in comparison with his budget hence why I think mccall is by far a better target. On my opening post in this thread I quoted an article regarding Jim Price here is another quote from Davies relation One thing we can all agree on im sure, mccall would class himself a rangers man.
  15. he never got sacked 5 times for being a shagger?
  16. ha ha, ok quincy What had Davies done above the expectations set regarding finace. Or should I put it simpler what has davies done without a budget? As that is the manager we need. As incase you have forgotten, or purse is very much closed.
  17. oh and by the way Davies who was nothing short as abysmal had a chairman in Boyle who backed him financially unlike McCall.
  18. I would prefer to see mccall for 1 reason, he is by far a better coach /manager. Davies and his 5 sacking from 6 says it all. I dont want any friend of sheridan any where near my club, as for your refernce to Motherwell yes I am a Lanarkshire blue nose and I have read local papers regarding McCall and know he is by far a better choice. I should know I watched davies getting kicked out of fir park.
  19. During his latest stint at the City Ground this interest in video technology took a slightly sinister turn, involving the covert filming of journalists at Forest press conferences. Or at least those he had not already barred. Only the club website and a regional television station seemed safe from Davies' enthusiasm for blanket media bans, as Forest morphed into "the Midlands' answer to North Korea". If a run of eight games without a win, culminating in Saturday's 5-0 defeat at Derby, finally prompted Fawaz Al-Hasawi to dismiss Davies while preparing to find another manager to re-ignite Forest's play off ambitions, trouble had been brewing for some time. Long-serving club staff were sacked without explanation, while Jim Price, Davies' cousin and agent, joined Forest in a senior role. After being suspended as a solicitor, Price was barred from taking up an official role as a director because he would not have passed the Football League's fit and proper person test. Davies became embroiled in ludicrous rows with photographers during games at Millwall, Brighton and Barnsley. But Al-Hasawi's patience really started wearing thin when the Kuwaiti owner became engaged in a disagreement over transfer market policy with a manager who had spent £9m since his return in February 2013. If a five-game touchline ban imposed for using abusive language to a match official after a 2-2 draw at home to Leicester in February – (although Davies denied making physical contact with Anthony Taylor, the referee, in the tunnel but lost his appeal against the last three fixtures of that suspension heard by the FA ) – hardly helped his cause, a recent refusal to talk to the media for "legal reasons" finally appeared to raise red flags in the boardroom. Davies' obsession with conspiracy theories and old grudges was starting to grate – possibly even among a group of players containing several huge admirers of a Glaswegian who will begin life at any new club watching from the stands while he serves the final three games of his touchline exclusion order. Despite being hampered by a series of injuries to key personnel, including the at times brilliant Andy Reid, there was a sense that Forest were starting to surrender too easily while acquiring far too many unnecessary enemies. The tunnel altercation with Taylor precipitated Davies' second banishment from the dugout this season following a brush with Craig Pawson, another referee, in August. Negotiations with Neil Warnock – who would have seemed like football's answer to Kofi Annan compared with Davies – hit a glitch last night, with Gary Brazil, the academy manager, in temporary charge for Tuesday night's match against Charlton.
  20. agreed our squad should be a dream for a coach to manage. so many alternatives its really sad we have been so rigid.
  21. Time will tell. look at my first post, I basically agree with you but believe he is by far and I mean by a great distance a much better player than the one we have now. Look at all the other players too. Each and every one with our coaching and management have failed to live up to the quality we thought they would bring to the club. Im sure if you looked back to the time we got the likes of Law, we were happy. That in itself tells a lot.
  22. No he did not, He said he could not take Motherwell any further. He had ran out of ideas. Basically for 3.5 years he improved them each year despite losing most of the team and rebuilding every year with players of a lesser quality, Yet still managed to beat previous points tally each season which was a post war record for each of the 3 seasons. Look at the team that got to the cup final in his first season compared to the team that finished 2nd with last minute goal at pittodrie. Basically as he improved as a manger his team got weaker. Look at our club, if Boyd is having a stinker of a patch then look who Ally had at his disposal to swap him with. McCall never had a selection problem as such, he never had enough quality and this is why when things got to the point it was not turning around he gave the club the chance to bring in another manager and release his wages to do so. The comparisons with our club is night and day. And one a good coach would thrive to have.
  23. very true. A passing game is what Nicky does best. McCall had motherwell playing a passing game, EVEN when their was a target man. Higdon who played with Law was not just a Lump up front! he would hold up play and was a great passer of the ball to bring his midfield into play. That is lost with us in all honestly.
