I do have a lot on and take some pride in that tbh. You don't get a thing by doing fuck all. With no degree in journalism (or anything else for that matter) Every 'opportunity' I've had through blogging has been earned through putting consistent stuff out there that, imo, is balanced and fair while also putting the hard work in so that when things do come up (like the Record blog) they approach me and offer me it out the blue. 
No idea where you got that idea. Like everyone I've got bills and rent/mortgage to pay and like everyone I expect paid for work that I do. I've spent the first couple years writing doing it all voluntarily simply to build a name for myself (still do for WATP). Now, luckily, I'm in a position where I can make a living from it. 

Maybe I will, maybe I won't but I'd rather have tried and failed than sat on the internet greeting about it and doing fuck all to try change things.

I'd say the Mexican league is of a much higher standard than Scottish and Norwegian football. I can only base this on the players produced as I obviously don't follow each league in detail, but going by players and reputation - it's a higher standard. 

No it's arguably a far higher standard. Caixinha won more with Santos Laguna in 3 year than McInnes has in his entire career as a manager
