  1. Has some good attributes he's tenacious, determined and can sometimes spot a pass but not a lot of people picked up on his bad attributes. He lost the ball a lot of the time and got caught in possession too often.

This will be a big year for him, he looked better because there alternative was Ian black but in a competitive midfield if he can step up then he can be a good player

  2. I can see why it's a bit of a 'throwback' of a place for people who aren't from here.

Believe me you're certainly not the first person who's come up to do work that I've heard complaining about it.

Spare a thought for how overwhelmed I get whenever I set foot in Glasgow - chain restaurants aplenty, motorways, phone signal everywhere I go, more than ten people congregating in an area at a time - it's almost too much to cope with sometimes :D

PMSL! you could fit the entire island in ibrox mate :L

Seriously, we are installing a spine from Lerwick to Gott so if you need to use the road from there best avoid it. Our subcontractors dont have the best reputation and you might find our temporary lights are both on Green lol.

  3. Is this meant to be some sort of insult?

Nope, but I see how it can be perceived as trying to be one. Your island frustrated me, trying to set up traffic management and get an accurate location when the road is in the middle of nowhere and looks the same the entire island!

  4. It worries me that so many are creaming themselves over basically 2 signings .I'm all for being positive but with a sense of realism surely .Totally underwhelmed so far

Can you blame them mate, from cribari and moshav to Wilson and keirnan. In comparison to last seasons defence we have just signed pique and kompany

  5. It's a yes for me. I think the 2 defenders for the amount of money paid was a shrewd transaction. Wilson has worked with davie and seems to want to be here and keirnan has worked with warburon before. They both are young with loads of potential.

Eustace who has been in town for talks I will admit I was like wtf? But he is the perfect mentor for young murdy and his level of experience and talent is the best we could have got for nothing.

I do believe we will spend more money and brig in more quality players but mark is building a team unit full of players playing for the jersey.

Happy bear but needs to start spending more

  6. Considering most rangers fans political beliefs are tied in with their support of the club makes your assumptions of bigotry redundant.

Most rangers fans values and culture are directly opposed by snp policies, their attack on football fans with the ridiculous bill that makes it a criminal offence to sign songs they disagree with which is a free speech issue.

So to be bigotry it would have to be a hatred for the snp which is irrational when in fact many like myself hate them for their republican far left leaning policies.

And going by your logic the snp are bigoted towards us because we oppose them hence we are back to you being a bit spesh.

well not all of the SNP supporters are anti rangers so therefore using my logic are not all Bigoted. But its not exactly a secret that bigotry is rife on all sides. "Spesh" hate that word, sounds like a Towie word but you deffs don't look like you care for your appearance enough to watch the show. The mind boggles

  7. you are talking bloody rubbish i am 72 yrs old been a gers supporter for more than 60 yrs and i am a staunch s.n.p fan stop mixing football idiots with politics

Try not to disagree mate, if you disagree with bigoted opinions you are suddenly "spesh" or "taig" if not that then the retort is sexual pmsl

there are some cretonic uneducated idiots in this place that spout the same shite every thrread they dont agree with in exchange for Internet points

  8. also... the obsessed dont want to move on from the idea that we will go out of business again. They have been clinging to it for years now, with every months wages being some sort of deadline. That the fact that appears to have diminished somewhat goes against what they wish to happen, so they will conjure up scenarios that make that alternative reality a stick on fact - and the latest scenario will be "we haven't learned our lesson, we are over spending, we have no money " etc etc..

They will ignore the fact we have no squad, that we are probably freeing up huge amounts of wages, that an ex city trader has came on board (and there is not a cats chance in hell Warburton would have came on board, if our finances weren't ok) - because it doesn't fit into their dream that we will die.

I expect a few more wild rumours from the unwashed over the next few years as they struggle to come to terms with the fact that we will be sustainable in the long term - it will be a bitter pill for them to swallow.

    Nuff said

  9. It's the same folk who support the SNP, the party who tell us that 16 y/o should get the vote but will need a legal state guardian as they aren't mature enough and that we need independence from the UK to prosper but we will be better together in numbers in the EU. They don't get contradictions mate. I just sit back and laugh to be honest.

PMSL! its bugger all to do with the supporting the SNP ya madman!

But back on topic its doing my heid in. The amount of utter tripe coming from haters making out we are on a life support machine not going to make it through to the end of the month is hilarious. Wouldn't you be obsessed if you were them and the worlds most successful club was coming back to take the limelight? well to be fair it was ours all along.

  10. Here's an interview on the official site. It's very good and he comes across as a sensible, serious, motivated young man. This is exactly what Warburton said he wanted.

I'm beginning to get a wee bit enthusiastic about the way Warburton goes about his work. It's starting to look like all his supporters on here were onto something.

    http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/9511-rangers-is-another-level?

I am feeling optimistic, if follows this trend by bringing in players that really want to be part of this club they will rub off on the players here and the feel good factor will return. Good times being a bear (eventually)

  11. Interview be rob kiernan (sorry if this is a double post)

ROB KIERNAN put pen-to-paper on a two-year contract with Rangers this morning and the powerful centre half is determined to be a big success in Scottish football.

The 24-year-old defender travelled up to Glasgow yesterday and was given a guided tour of Ibrox Stadium by Mark Warburton and assistant Davie Weir before being taken to see the superb facilities at Murray Park.

Kiernan joins the Gers from Wigan but having spent last season on loan at Birmingham City he feels in good shape to hit the ground running this summer and is relishing the prospect of working with the club's new management team.

Speaking to RangersTV, he said: "I'm over the moon to be honest. I'm so glad it's been done now and I can concentrate on going forward.

"When Mark phoned me I think that was the persuading factor. I've known Mark for a while and I've been eager to work with him for a long time.

"I think it's going to be good, I think he's going to be good for me and good for the club.

"I think we can go forward together and with David (Weir) around him it's going to be good."

When asked if Warburton’s desire to bring him to Rangers came as a shock, the Republic of Ireland Under-21 cap replied: "I wouldn't say shock, I was obviously over the moon when he gave me the call but we've tried to link up before at previous clubs and he's someone I admire.

“I think he's done really well from what he has come from and he's known me as a kid actually at Watford.

"He helped me a lot so I wasn't surprised, I was over the moon obviously, but I'm glad he's done that now.

"As soon as I saw that he got the (Rangers) job that was something I was definitely interested in.

"When he gave me the phone call I said 'Listen Mark, there's no doubt in my mind I'll come and play for you and for Rangers'.

"What an opportunity. I've just been to the stadium, I've looked around [Murray Park] and it's definitely the right decision for me, I'm made up."

Working with former central defender Davie Weir is also a massive bonus for Kiernan who believes he can learn a lot from the club’s new assistant manager.

He said: "He's a massive legend and I actually remember watching him as a kid.

"I spoke to the lads at Brentford that worked with him and he's someone I think I can learn a lot off. I hope he rubs off on me and I think he can teach me things.

"Everybody has got to learn, I'm nowhere near the finished article I know that, and hopefully he can do that and I think he will. It will be good to work with him."

Like most players, Kiernan was reluctant to highlight his own attributes as a defender, letting others do that, but he believes he does have the qualities required for the style of play Mark Warburton will want from his Rangers side.

He added: "I don't want to sit here and tell everyone what I want to be but I like to think I'm a defender first and foremost, I want to keep clean sheets for the team.

"I want to be reliable but also I would like to think I can be quite comfortable on the ball. Mark wants to play out from the back, he wants to get on the ball and hopefully I can show everyone here that I'm comfortable in possession.

"I like to have the ball at my feet as well as defending and feed people into positions and create things from the back so that we can go on and score goals.

"But first and foremost I am here to defend and hopefully whoever I link up with and play with we can keep clean sheets and help give that platform which lets the rest do their magic and score some goals."
