Obviously there is a lot more going on than meets the eye, we have literally been told fuck all about what's going on with this lad and there is no way at all that the injury that he supposedly had is still the one that's keeping him out. If he is as  highly rated as he was meant to be when we signed him then personally I'd punt him to whoever paid the most, but in all honesty I doubt any cunt would pay much for him.

He was supposed to be captain & star of England U-19's or U-21's, so how come no rich English team took him when he was available? And if he was that special, how come his old boss Brenda wasn't interested? Definitely something strange about the whole situation.

You're all wrong and I'm right. It's similar to the post I made at half time had the score still been 0-0. Halliday has has a good game but a lot of our fans are so blinkered that they'll judge his performance based purely on that one bit of mis-control which cost us a goal. Some will claim it's based on watching him for a season and a half but if it wasn't for what has just happened it wouldn't be mentioned.

Sorry mate, but in most games this season, Andy has gifted umpteen chances to our opponents and got away with it. Been saying it for ages.... he's lazy and not nearly good enough. Sorry.

He needs a right boot he can use.Last season defenders didn't have the brains or the ability to push him onto his right and block him on his left, whereby this season defenders seem to have him covered because they know 99.9% of the time Waghorn will always try and get the ball to his left boot before he pulls the trigger.

He was on a definite goal if he would have hit it with his "getting on a bus" foot when he went through on the 'keeper. :pipe:

    He thinks he's Mahrez.

Jeez some cant stop the Garner hatred.

He saw and played that ball for Miller the fact it wouldn't have come off without a bit of luck takes nothing away from his vision of the game.

Or are we going to start calling bits of luck our way just crap play.

There's no hatred at all. We all appreciate his effort. Some of us just shake our heads when people say he has "great close control", etc. when he has limited control of any kind. Sorry.

His work ethic is beyond question,  and he does win his fair share of balls launched at him.  But he is quite often isolated,  and his shooting/close control  is crap. So either we support him more to get some benefit from his work,  or he sticks away some chances,  or I just don't see how he has a future.

Spot on m8. Was buzzing after the game & didn't want to be critical but couldn't understand the MOTM comments about JG. Everyone else on the bus raving about him, phone-in callers raving about him. Yes his effort is good most of the time, but if you want effort allied to a bit of skill & know-how, I think you'd be better with somebody like Forrester upfront. Sincerely hope he proves me wrong but, as so many people said to me on Saturday night, "it's all about opinions."

Going against the grain here, but I don't think he is a good player at all. Sure, he puts himself about a lot, but think his touch and shooting is terrible. I hope he comes good though and I can eat my words.

    That makes two of us.

We either stick with him through the winter window and risk pissing money up against the wall bringing in players that suit a system that is failing or we get rid and take a punt on something getting more out of the squad we have.

Both option are going to cost money (which we may not have) and both come with high risks. I know what I’d do but I think King and co will just go with the flow till the end of the season and see where we are.

After 8 months of inept performances and results the players are not going to suddenly turn a switch and start playing again (I said this in the build-up to the final when countless folk were deluding themselves we would just turn it on and steam roll hibs) that’s just not what happens in professional football. It’s all about form and consistency and for the best part of a year we have had none whatsoever.

It sounds grim because it is grim, we will have posters who come on (the usual suspects) who will criticise posters like myself for not being loyal and all that shite when this is exactly what we went through under McCoist when it was clear he was slowly damaging our football club.

I want what’s best for Rangers and MW is not that anymore. I honestly never though I'd be saying that after last season before the cup final but it is just the truth now.

Completely agree with everything you & PromDeAnglais are saying. And on the loyalty thing, normally there is nothing more enjoyable than going to Ibrox on a matchday, but I'm having serious second thoughts about Satuday. I can think of several more enjoyable things I could be doing but will the guys need all the support they can get right now? Of course they will. Fuck it, I'm goin. Mon The Rangers.

Many thought we'd actually win it. Been going for 58 years and tonight ranks as one of the worst ever. Thanks Mark, for making an old man very unhappy.

So he only acts like a taig then?

I think he was brought up as a Presbyterian, but like all politicians, he will shamelessly pander to any group of potential supporters. Especially minority groups like tims & immigrants. I remember reading that he used to write columns in Catholic publications. It obviously worked because he did gain power & Krankie does the same.

I go to every single game home and away. I really like him. You watch his goal reels from Preston or even his games with Preston and when the guy gets service in the box he scores.

It isnt embarrassing at all. We all wanted someone with a bit of fight in him who would run through brick walls or dive at the feet of players with his head for us. He does that and gets slated for it.

I think hes a good player and once our technical players start turning it on we'll see him bang them in. His header against St J comes from a corner which is service and he used his instincts against Killie (not so sure if it was) to finish in the box after a mis hit

Sorry mate.... total respect if you never miss a game. I really hope your man proves me wrong. I admit he was not too bad against Killie.

Lol slating a guy who doesn't get service. He would've buried the same chances as Dodoo today if he got the service.

Sorry mate, you obviously don't go to games , or you badly need new specs. He misses sitters and it's embarrassing the way he kind of flings himself at crosses in the six yard box. God only knows which part of his body he's hoping to make contact with.

I've never forgiven Ferguson for walking out on us after Copenhagen. I stayed for a few days after the game and was coming back when I heard the news totally ruined it for me.

But what him and McGregor did to the Tartan Army that night - there should be a portrait somewhere in Ibrox of him giving the finger to the Scotland support (no expense spared)

The Le Guen thing I'm a bit mixed on. It was unprofessional what him and Boyd were doing but it worked out well as Le Guen left and Smith came back and turned us successful again. If Le Guen was still here we would still be struggling IMO - that doesn't mean him and Boyd are off the hook or their behaviour was decent, it wasn't.

My gripe nowadays with Ferguson is the pish he talks about us every week in the newspapers when he's got a team of his own to manage in Clyde. If I was a Clyde fan I'd be livid our manager spent the whole time talking about Rangers.

He also said after winning the league cup with Birmingham at the time that it was the biggest or best thing he'd did in football. That's nice, Barry.

Pretty much spot on. A shame that Ferguson decided to blot his copybook to such an extent.  And I agree about Le Guen. He got off to a promising start, was getting the best out of Buffel, for example, and might just have been the man. We'll never know.

I just don't get this - I really don't. For my money Halliday has been our most consistent preformer over the last season and a half. Yep, they've been some dips but you could say that about anybody.

He came close to gifting them two goals on Saturday & was generally lazy and poor as usual.

Am I right in saying that during Italia90, the German team were taken to the Vatican & Jurgen was one of a couple of players who refused to meet the Pope? I'd like to think he might have said, "Fuck'im".
