  1. Some of the stuff I was hearing in the crowd last night was bizarre. For YEARS we complained about the long ball tactics and now we're doing the opposite. Half the stadium going bizerk at the goalkeeper to punt it.

Everyone is a tactician now? What system would you play? What players would you sign? How would you break down St. Johnstone? We can all look back retrospectively and say what went wrong but no one is saying "this is how you beat these teams". This is why i'm hearing people shouting "punt it" last night and reading this tonight.

maybe because he doesnt even have it to loan us, the fact that t3b have seemingly loaned us more than mr big shot himself tells you a lot

Unfortunately that seems to be the case. I just think it's a decent idea for any potential investor!

  3. See if King has no money to just invest on transfers without writing it off why has he never loaned us it? And what I mean by that is he invests 20 million over the next two transfer windows which definetely puts us in the title picture (if spent properly). Let's say you win the title then qualify for the CL like the tims have you instantely gain the money back invested in the squad. This is where the loan part comes. King would take a chunk of that money back which he invested to win us the title and qualify for the CL. Then the squad is at a level to which it can compete and only two or three transfers are needed a season.

Mind you i'm not King and i'm sure he doesn't think like this.

  4. Oh for the love of god, some of the posts on this are unbelievable. Just give up on the guy after 10-12 games? He had a shit summer transfer window, but should he not allowed January (if money is there) to rectify it. People wanting to pack the mans bags to send him down to Wigan is crazy. No Loyalty.

I thought Garner did okay yesterday. I would have a front three of Dodoo, Garner, and Miller. McKay and Waghorn need to work their way into the team, when they find form. Dodoo looked more creative than McKay did.

Aye McKay needs a week off to go clear his head. He's in a total rut just now

It's up to those two players to give more if they want in the team. Could we have got them any cheaper, and is it totally incomprehensible that we signed them based on their records for their the clubs before coming here? The manager can give them an opportunity, but what about their effort to the cause. O'Halloran has no future at Rangers, that much is clear, and Garner has a lot to prove which he hasn't done so far; if he wants to play then he has to perform.

The point was more about Garner than MOH to be honest. If you sign a guy for that amount of money in this league you get him in the team. His record at Preston was impressive, but has cone here and only been given dribs and drabs. I think the gaffer should be throwing a guy with that fee straight in the side. Give Garner 7 or 8 starts in a row and we'll actually see what he is made of.

  7. The board have to invest another 15/20million on the squad to get there. That's how much it took Smith's side to catch up with Celtic and improve from the Le Guen team. It's also about the amount they have spent on their current side.

However, the money the gaffer has had he's spent poorly or mismanaged it. He signed Garner for 1.8 Million, our biggest fee spent since Nikica Jelavic, and the cunt has only started 3 games. Why? And the same goes for Michael O'Halloran. Gaffer spends 500k on him and he doesn't play ever.

The board don't give the manager much money and the money they do give manager spends it poorly, or assesses players wrongly. Pretty shit state of affairs!

  8. I think Sir Walter had a lot to do with getting the best out of those players, however, the squad was so much better!

Mind you we at the time we were always the first or second best side in the country so could therefore always be buying or purchasing from a position of strength. The last 4 years we haven't been able to do that, but we're getting there just give it time!

Might I add I don't think the tims are better now than they were in 2011.

  9. The guy was great tonight and looks like he's getting fitter. Next week I would only start him if the manager started Forrester from the right with Niko, Holt and Halliday starting off in the centre. However, that would mean dropping Waghorn...

They bossed us in the middle of the park last time with Miller and Garner starting. Also with an unfit Barton, Kranjcar and Windass it only got worse. I'd leave Windass on the bench! For me he has to be introduced slowly as he seems to made of glass so far. He got a good 15 minutes today and maybe give him 30 next Sunday with the possibility of extra time. Meaning he's getting brought back from injury properly and not just thrown into an Old Firm.

  10. A lot of people saying Lagerback which I think would have been great had he not retired. So if not Lagerback then what about the guy he owed part of his philosiphy to...Roy Hodgson?

The guy has International pedigree with Switzerland in the 90s qualifying then for WC94 and Euro96. Managed Finland with reasonable sucess before going to Fulham who he took to a Uefa Cup final. At West Brom he kept them in the league comfortably for years when they were always known as a perennial "yo-yo club".

Things weren't so good at Liverpool or England. However, maybe the mass demand from fans to play a certain way may have effected his coaching of the sides. Perhaps not having that there may actually get the best out of him and the squad by adapting his rigid 442/4411 and just trying to get results which Scotland actually needs. Every average team he has been at he's got the best out of them by being strong at the back and building from there. His strongest tournament with England was Euro 2012 when he had only 3 months to prepare.

So that makes that decision yesterday acceptable? We can argue all day everyday day about our issues in front of goal. That decision yesterday cost us a point your kidding yourself on to say otherwise ffs

I'm not blaming the referee solely for our defeat on Sunday and that's that. I already said before it was the wrong decision, but our players have to be more clinical in front of goal. Simple as. We take the piss out of the tims for this stuff how many times over the years? Always cheated, never defeated. Now we're desperate we do it? If the team does their job we would have won that game.

  12. Only his third start and you look at it a few ways. Had one chance plus no service vs celtic and got a goal. However, yesterday looked like he couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo. So for me he needs more games to see what he is made of but at the same time I think there's a couple of players who deserve a chance before him. Waghorn would be my number 9 rather than being played out right.

How??? No freekick no goal, simples.Yes he took a cracker but it never should have been.

But let's brush over the chances we missed. Our strikers take their chances we win the game. We were good enough to win that even with a poor decision by a referee.
