So that makes that decision yesterday acceptable? We can argue all day everyday day about our issues in front of goal. That decision yesterday cost us a point your kidding yourself on to say otherwise ffs

I'm not blaming the referee solely for our defeat on Sunday and that's that. I already said before it was the wrong decision, but our players have to be more clinical in front of goal. Simple as. We take the piss out of the tims for this stuff how many times over the years? Always cheated, never defeated. Now we're desperate we do it? If the team does their job we would have won that game.

  2. Only his third start and you look at it a few ways. Had one chance plus no service vs celtic and got a goal. However, yesterday looked like he couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo. So for me he needs more games to see what he is made of but at the same time I think there's a couple of players who deserve a chance before him. Waghorn would be my number 9 rather than being played out right.

How??? No freekick no goal, simples.Yes he took a cracker but it never should have been.

But let's brush over the chances we missed. Our strikers take their chances we win the game. We were good enough to win that even with a poor decision by a referee.

  4. Personally I'd like to see us set up in a 3-4-3 or a 3-5-2. It would first of all help us cope a little better with the obvious issues at centre half. It would then mean we would play with two wing backs which would mean Wallace and Tav could go up the park as much as they like. I felt last season our best football was played with Dom Ball in the side when he was playing as a third centre back or a defensive midfielder. See Dundee 4-0.

That small change for me would give us much more protection at the back and give our two most dangerous outlets the chance to do what they like. In midfield for me in midfield halliday and holt at the minute and bed in Rossiter and Windass when they are fit. Up top this formation means the rotation between Waghorn, Garner and Miller on and off the bench would be much easier. In bigger games Forrester could feature as one of the front 3, supporting the midfield and helping us keep the ball (see the 5-1 game why two strikers doesn't work) I also think a 3-4-3/3-5-2 would get the best out of McKay as he would have a free role and could supply the strikers as well as getting more goals himself.

Just a thought, but i'm not the manager.

Problem is m8 that's what he says most weeks, we are the better team most weeks, ( or other teams make us look good) but it means nothing if the other side can punt the ball up the park and score.

He has big big problems and he's nowhere near sorting them.

Don't get me wrong that goal was abysmal. I'm taking the interview for what the interview was. He did say this stuff against Hamilton and Kilmarnock. I just think today, if we took our chances, we would have won. I think the interview actually analyses the game pretty well where as the post match interviews vs Hamilton and Killie were well off.

  6. I think 95% of what he said was correct. We were the better team and we had enough chances to win it but Garner and Waghorn were poor in front or goal. That game could have ended 4-2.

All the pish about the decision for tge free kick is not what Rangers managers do. The free kick was given (granted wrongly) but the Aberdeen player coukd have hit the wall and it would have meant nothing.

I think he's feeling the pressure!

  7. Here's the thing whatever he did during the original argument is still up for debate. However, how he acted during the period since has been stupid and irresponsible of a Rangers player. If you play for Rangers you're supposed to be dignified and respectable on and off the park.

Running his mouth weeks and weeks before the old firm about their manager and captain  despite the fact we had other games coming up, then not turning up for the game he ran his mouth about. Not good enough!

The guy has no professionalism and I have no doubt he will fuck it up again between now and the time the 3 weeks is up. As for on the park he's been rubbish (like most the team) and really doesn't suit our style.

So before all the Barton defenders want to talk about how he should stay perhaps consider how he has conducted himself in the media and his personal performances on the park outwith the incident at the training ground last Monday and ask yourself does our club need this character?

You mean the Walter Smith, the master tactician of defensive unattractive football  who mentored Ally and was probably just a phone call away the whole time Ally was in charge and whose tactics and knowledge are from a different era 20-30 years ago when you could buy big, and boss games in Scotland with attitude and expensive players only, with no great attention to the technicalities and the fitness displayed by much faster and fitter, more tactically aware modern teams ?

    Okay then...............

Walter who won us 3 titles in a row and the year he didn't took us to a Uefa Cup final? Wrap it with Ally stuff and using that as an excuse as to why Walter is shite. His football might have been bland but you weren't complaining at the end of the season were you?

Just for the record I'm not on the "if Walter was in charge bandwagon"

  9. Aye we'll just keep asking the poor bastard to come back and save us until he is deid. Then we will freeze his body and he can manage us from then on.

Half the support didn't even like him when he was winning us title after title despite being in pretty much the same situation as we are in just now. "His football is boring".

Walter is the greatest manager this club has had since Jock Wallace, but all the fannies that moaned about his "shite fitbaw" are the same ones that will moan that we haven't beat Ross County today.

    There's your good football...wallapers!

  10. I think he has a place as a squad player and as a role model to the younger players.

I think he can come on the last 20/25 minutes of games, as we seen against Motherwell and Killie, and have a positive impact. When he is coming on teams are tiring and he has space to create and pick out passes.

The problem with Niko is his legs and mobility. So I still find it baffling as to why he started on Saturday in a game were physical attributes are more important than in any other game.

Mind you Niko didn't pick himself...

  11. Comments in an interview are just that. In the short term it all boils down to the performance and result on Saturday. If we win and win comfortably he will start to get some of his good grace back. Anything less and let's say we lose 2 goals to silly defending then nothing has been learned.

I think the true test of whether Warburton is "deluded" or not will be over the coming months. For me and many others this result and performance last Saturday will take a while to get over.
