Personally for me I think Wallace represents us on there. He stayed with us when he could have gone to England and made a tidy wee career for himself. He didn't though he WANTED to stay and play for Rangers. I understand he's not a shouter or anything like that for me he's a bit more statesman like and leads by example in a sense.
Hill has loads of qualities to be a captain, but this is also a guy who said 3rd would be an accomplishment while Wallace was wanting things sorted to change things around because he knows this isn't good enough for the club.
-
But it wont be his last unfortunately! It's a shame because I think there is a good player in him but he's not got the mentality to overcome the poorer side of his game (reading the game, decision making etc.)
-
As much as a like Hill and think he's a solid pro his comments pretty much some up our squad at the minute. There is a lot of journeymen who have won nothing in their careers and these types of comments show the mentality of a player who has spent their days at the likes of QPR and other lower level Englidh clubs.

Done a good job with St. Johnstone, made them a top 6 team year after year as well as winning the Scottish cup with them. Another one who would make us hard working and tough to beat which is the direction I think we should be going in.
Also whether it was Wright or not, why do people need a big name manager to buy a season ticket? Do people go to support Rangers or a manager who will leave us eventually. I know it's just the way of things but I have never understood it.

Fit...I'll have that edited.

I don't think De Boer is a good fit for us just now.

Who would want to buy any of our centrebacks? They are hopeless, and who brought the vast majority of them in? MW did.
The board have to trust a manager to spend wisely, unfortunately that trust was misplaced in MW. How much do people on here think it will cost for another manager to come in and sign say 11-13 players for next season? Who would be mad enough to buy the players we have?
MW tried to flood our team with mediocre players who he thought he could improve. Who has progressed under him? keirnan is the prime example of a MW signing to me: Inconsistant, doesn't learn from his mistakes and still keeps his place in the team.
Name the players MW was solely responsible for developing that we could sell on for a profit... anyone?
I don't think I said anything to conflict with this. The board clearly didn't want to give him more money anyway and why would they want to? Especially for Oxford considering he already had 3 poor centre halfs and Hill who I think has been solid enough.
It has been a monumental error by the board to let MW reshape the squad after McCoist but that's what they've done. The next manager has to be right and I think the new manager will have to keep some of these guys on.

They told him he couldn't sign Hayes or Oxford though so how is that different?
Because there probably wasn't the money for it! Pretty sure the story was that a centre half had to go before Oxford came in.

I'm not exactly the boards number one fan, but who are the board to tell the manager they can't sign a specific player?
If Warburton wanted Senderos, Garner, Barton or whoever he would go to the board and say I want to spend what you've given me on this player then the board should let him. The board pick a guy to run the football team, they don't pick the team or sign the players and neither they should.

Forrester must have been thinking of O'Hallorans joke when he missed that sitter...
-
Don't get the hate for him. He can't sit and say he hates his job because there might be a sniff of another. He's not a cunt. That would put him in the same ball park as McGhee which McInnes certainly isn't.
This rubbish about him not doing a good job up there is a lot of rubbish. Go see where the sheep were before he joined them. He's also won a trophy with Aberdeen which Warburton or McCoist haven't managed.

Completely agree with Waghorn to be honest! Manager brought to many in and chopped and changed every week even when it wasn't called for, or didn't change when it was. Waghorn has been played out of position all season. The guy is a striker and not a right sided forward or winger.

1. The shite with Sheridan.
2. Has been employed by only one club in last 10 years and has been told to leave twice.
3. Hasn't been employed in 3 years
4. Was being interviewed by St. Mirren 4 months ago.
5. All of his successes where over a decade ago. Football has changed.
6. General nut job who thinks he's due something.
7. His abrasive (all the time) style is not fitting of a Rangers manager.
So the question is why Billy Davies?

I've posted this before and just a suggestion but what about Nigel Pearson? Pretty much built Leicester's Premier League winning team and made some great signings on the cheap.
With you on this! Good manager, takes no shit and builds honest hard working teams that win!

I'll happily eat my hat (not magic) if this actually happened, but how the fuck is Dave King gonna get former Ajax and Inter manager Frank De Boer?
-
He can't get a signal from his wine cellar!

We must have been horrible in training this week!

Whether McParland is staying or not the scouting/recruitment department is atrocious. McParland should have been the first brought in of many in that department.
We look at Warburton's signings and would generally agree they have been poor. Part of this is the managers fault as he definetely has the final say, but the quality of player being brought to him by our head of recruitment hasn't been good enough. In an age were there is so much football a manager or head coach needs people giving him on information on players from all sorts of places and not just the UK. This is why we have ended up with the Brentford and Watford brigade.
The fact we can't get players who haven't played on these isles is apalling in what is now a global game. I look at our budget compared to Hearts and look at some of the bargains they have got in the last 2 years. Surely with our bigger budget we could get better players from Europe or elsewhere!

What an amazing Superbowl! Not a Pats fan, but that was outstanding to watch. Belichick and Brady are both the greatest in their fields. I had Pats to win between 1pt and 6pts, so quids in for me!

This is a fucking ridiculous rumour. I don't even know where to start with what's wrong with it.
Frank De Boer has just been sacked from Inter Milan where he didn't get a chance and his stock is still high and Dave King hasn't got a war chest for the hypothetical manager because he's no got it!
-
Nope, I cheered when we scored...then I wanted us to score again.

Andy Gray

Yes, or 343.

So we have the second biggest budget in the league and are second. Some of the points we have dropped have been atrocious as well as the performances.
To compete for the title though we need some big investment on the park. Sellik's two centre halfs on Saturday cost more than our whole team does in transfer fees. They're also paying their manager who has more pedigree than ours over half of our manager (not that the money they make matters, but they can still spend 2 mil on a quality manager).
They are also some incredible run and have only dropped 2 points in 20 games! Even if we had beaten Hamilton, County x2 and Kilmarnock we would still be well behind. However, I do agree with the original point that the results aren't really good enough.

I defended Wallace in my post compared to Hill, but I can't disagree with Miller. Miller has been a phenomenal leader for us this season imo.
