  1. Rangers and the SFA, Its not a new thing, 1987 Butcher, Woods and Roberts. 1994 Duncan Ferguson. Although it was the PFs that decided to prosecute, the SFA were more than happy and willing to help them in their investigations. This mob have been no friends of Rangers for many a year. A parcel of rogues.
  2. Yes, Hynd and Jim Forrest were made the scapegoats. Roger Hynd was the nephew of Bill Shankly.
  3. Having now seen the footage for the first time in 17 years, yes it was more than a nothing ball.
  4. Looking at this again after many years, it was actually a great tackle by Khan, there defo wasn't any attempt to injure Mols, was just one of those things.
  5. He was, and Hynd who could play centre half and centre forward stepped in up front. Alot of players in the old days could play in both these positions. Derek Johnstone at Rangers, the famous John Charles was another. I seen that John Terry tried it for Chelsea last week for the last 15 minutes, to his credit he didn't look totally out of place, but then again it was for only the last few minutes.
  6. I think it was Simon Inglis, who authored "The Football Grounds of Great Britain". A great book, I have it somewhere, need to dig it out and have another read. I have the recent " Ibrox --Temple of Dreams" looks good, but just not got round to reading it yet.
  7. Yeah, you have totally summed it up mate, that is exactly what happened
  8. True, i remember Roger Hynds miss aswell, was he not playing as a striker though in that game
  9. He was in the immediate vicinity, I had to have someone to blame ha, was probably more frustrated at Mols at the time as it was a nothing ball he went for, think it was around the half way line or something. Anyway he was never the same player again, came back, was good, but he had lost that incredible ability to turn on a six pence, he could do it, but not as repeatedly as the knee just wasn't up to it.
  10. Like every successes in life, there is always going to be a degree of Self involved, not knowing what motivates him or his thinking leaves me in a position where I can't judge him, but what we can judge him on is his actions, and his actions in relation to Rangers Football Club have, in recent years, left a great deal to be desired. As I said earlier, it actually saddens me, but we need to move on.
  11. Unbelievable comeback from Bayern. Nothing against Munich, but I still can't forgive that big lummox Oliver Khan for injuring Michael Mols, or them scoring, was it the equaliser in the last seconds of the first game at Ibrox, deflected off Albertz if my memory serves well. Gubbed them in 72 however, when technically we were playing the West German National team that would win that years Euros and be crowned World Champs only 2 years later in 1974.
  12. Ally, it appears, is only interested in Ally, man mind thy self and all that.
  13. Been watching a lot of old games on YouTube and this question might seem a little bit Anoraky, but whatever happened to the old square Ibrox Goalposts after pitch redevelopment in the late 1980s, and the fashion turning to the European style posts with boxed nets? These posts stood at Ibrox for God only knows how many years, and it would be horrendous to think that they were just discarded with, when they should have been preserved at the time for any future museum or such like. If anyone has any info, it would be greatly appreciated.
  14. Couldn't agree more, it's our spiritual home. I still get the same buzz as I did as an 8 year old at my first game. I still kiss and tap the top of the exit door on the way out, as if saying "farewell old friend, until we meet again, take care of yourself". In my heart there is no better sporting venue in the World, it is without peer. Even the name " Ibrox" is special, it's unique.
  15. McCoist as a player gave me some of my greatest memories of The Rangers, but he has absolutely done himself no favours with his mercenary approach. It just really saddens me. I take no joy or hatred from the whole affair, just much disappointment, as it really shouldn't have been like this.
  16. Yes your right, Willie Waddell visited stadiums across Europe in the aftermath of the disaster, and along with the architects they based the new Ibrox Stadium on the Westfallion in Dortmund. As a side comment, I was in the East Enclosure on Friday night down in the very front rows, and looking up to the main stand, club deck etc was aware for the first time in many years the absolute enormity of the Bill Struth Main Stand. It's cavernous and huge, and with the opulance, history and luxury of the interior and majesty and beauty of the façade, it is in my opinion the greatest Main Stand anywhere in the World, nothing even comes close to it, apart from the old Highbury, and it makes Parkhead look like an entrance to an out of town office complex.
  17. Alarm bells went off for me regarding McCoist about 15 years ago when he got involved with the SCIAF charity along with Tommy Burns and Cardinal Winning. Burns and Winning I could understand as that was their faith, and I have absolutely no problem with that, but McCoists endorsement and involvement in the work of this charity puzzled and worried me.
  18. Yes that Umbro one was good. I suppose there is no bad Rangers strip, the diadora ones were a bit iffy in the early 2000s, but ones that were worn in vital matches like the 2003 last day championship win usually go down in folklore, I know a lot of fans liked the orange diadora one. Didn't like it much myself, but I'm not really into away shirts, just one of those things.
  19. Scott Allan will end up back at Hibs, it's a virtual certainty, we've seen this sort of thing many a time before with players from Scottish clubs, who the press bum up as going to be the next big thing, going to Septic, doing feck all, and ending up back at the club where they started.
  20. I'm going back oh must be 25-30 years since I was a supporters club member. It's all changed no doubt. I remember Wattie and Trevor Steven coming one year, then Fergie the next, with his pal the east end gangster boy, was his name Lyle? Can't quite remember, I think he was murdered about 10 years after that.
  21. Yip, was thinking the same thing, club blazer and tie when your representing the club. But I'm old school. It's changed days, the main thing is they go.
  22. I haven't been a member of a RSC for years but I thought players going to the annual do's was a sort of compulsary thing?
  23. Come away out from among them, be as separate, do not touch the unclean thing, and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness.
  24. It used to be the jewish and isreali media tycoons that controlled the media in the Western world, now it's definitely ruled by Rome and Romanists, especially in Europe.
