I can't actually believe that both our captain and vice captain would talk about the poor mentality of the squad in the manner that they have. Sterling talks about it in a frustrated way, that he doesn't know why the mentality is lacking, but Tavernier and Goldson have spoken about it in a defeatest manner. I think we need the dry rot out of our club. I think we are making a massive mistake offering Lundstram a new contract, as we did with Goldson last season. I hope to god that Borna has agreed a contract elsewhere too. Tav i would keep, but we need more players with the attitude of Sterling and Butland, we need players who won't accept mediocrity and one trophy every other season.

I think Clement has spotted the weak mentality early on. When he said "we take one game at a time", i assumed he said that to put a lid on people getting carried away. Looks like it was really because we have such a shite mentality that the vast majority of the players can't handle the pressure of winning enough games to win leagues.

To be honest, i hope he doesn't get a new deal as I think for the money he would be on, we can get better value, but from media reports i've read he is close to agreeing a new deal.

I don't think we would have got the same player Ferguson has blossomed into if we had signed him while he was at Aberdeen. The move abroad may have been the kickstarter to him achieving his potential.

If there's any game that we need to see a reaction in, then a cup semi final is it. You can predict already what Hearts will do. They'll go for an early goal and then sit and frustrate us. As soon as that happens, they know the atmosphere will turn. I just don't at this moment have the confidence that we will see the reaction we need.

It's a weird one. If we win both cups it should be seen as a somewhat successful season, and looking back it probably would be, but I think this season is a gutter regarding the league as we had it in our hands and have thrown it away.

I've supported him in the past and have defended him mainly because of his goal threat, but the last few games he has been awful.
