  1. Singing up to our knees is going to fuck us in Europe and at home, unless we can universally change those particular words then it will only harm the club, and it's been through the mangle enough without us causing more harm to our reputation.

I get that this isn't a popular opinion on here but we need to balance tradition with respect of the people we have at the club...TBB  makes us the loudest support in the UK...just need to cut a portion of it....Celtic blood would do.

PEDRO CAIXINHA was pleased with most aspects of Rangers’ play against St Johnstone, but again called on his side to be more clinical.

St Johnstone goalkeeper Zander Clark had a superb game in goal, denying Jason Holt, Martyn Waghorn and Niko Kranjcar with a string of superb stops, with Gers also having a number of other chances to put the ball in the back of the net to win the game.

At the other end, Gers were rarely troubled, and Caixinha believes his side are in a good place ahead of next Thursday’s Europa League qualifier with Progrès Niederkorn.

The Ibrox gaffer, speaking to RangersTV.tv, explained: “It was a good performance, and a good performance within the total domain and control of the game, especially in the second half where I don’t even remember St Johnstone crossing the halfway line.

“We had a lot of control of the game and we were much more aggressive attacking spaces in the last third against a team that was much more concerned about defending as we pushed them to defend, and that’s a reality we need to face.

“The goalkeeper made three or four fantastic saves when supposedly the ball should have ended up in the goal but he saved, but that is football and that is reality. We are happy with the performance, we are happy with the process and we know in this last week we are going to put everything in the right place in order to give our supporters great happiness on the 29th.

“We expect Ibrox to be crowded supporting us and being happy about our return to Europe after such a long period of time.”

Having played three friendly matches now with no more to follow, Caixinha believes his side are where they should be ahead of their first competitive game next week.

He added: “It is exactly what we were expecting. If you have a closer look, the only thing we didn’t like from these last two matches was the last third. We need to improve definitely there and all the rest I am really, really happy with.”

So he is unhappy in the final third but still plays Waghorn ? Why not start with Morales and bring numbnuts on? Or try Hardie and bring him on ...he already knows what Waghorn can do (we all do) so what is he gaining?

This is obviously his starting team for next week and it should be fine....but a big crowd and Waghorns bottle are never a good combination.

They think we're deid anyway. Fuck what they think.

They can't live without us; Twitter must be where the send all their Bams - because not one of them comments' on their own club..i fully think we gave them an inferiority complex that they can't let go of. Every RFC post on a website no matter how obscure...first comment is always by a sevcoer - they must trawl our pages everyday. If we even got close this season....as in into the final month(s) and only a few points in it, you would see them have an absolute melt down...and the dodgy refs thing would be where they would apply their pressure.....and the pressure they would put on their team would be immense.

  4. I sat and watched both games yesterday as I had a long weekend, for me we played ok, what was interesting is that we didn’t sit in, but pressed high up the park putting pressure on as a unit, was worried we were going to be just a counterattacking team in Scotland, but doesn’t look like it. We definitely need Dorrans, walker and Pena...( if he is as good as we think he is) in the midfield as that would tie in with either Jack or Rossiter who both looked very good.

My team, going by these two games only - ignoring Herrera and Pena and..Alves...etc as they were not present.

                                                 Fods

                              Tav   Cardosa    Mcrorie   Wallace

                                   Rossiter               Jack

                  Windass             Krancjar              Mackay

                                              Morales

The games had subs constantly so:

    Players:

    GK:

Fods & Alnw, -both didn’t have much to do in either game – Fods will start next season.

    Defence:

Wallace:- Like Tav looks good going fwd – nearly cost us a goal vs TNS as he pushed up…standard though, at this level no issues.

    Beerman:

Terrific going fwd – had a couple of runs, never a LB in his life !

    TAV & MOH

Both good going fwd and MOH scored a great goal vs Coleraine – I really like Tav and think he will play better in a better team – or have a back 3 behind him. MOH would work in a team where we are hitting on the break….Peds obvs fancies him as an attacking FB.

Cardoso – best defender on the pitch(s) buy a mile !! We have a winner.

Bates -sigh..won headers…? Just shit on the ball.

A Wilson & McCrorie – both did well better on the ball than Bates – think McCrorie was unlucky to be on loan or would have had Bates slot last season…both better than Bates.

    Midfield:

Jack – Really well – never lost the ball always found a player always looking to intercept…played well both games.

Rossiter – as above, probably not enough creativity between them but in big games can see them both in a 4231.

Dalcio- terrible vs Coleraine.(fullstop) Much better vs TNS needs to gel with his team mates but didn’t really go past his man once, still there were flashes of good play vs TNS.

Kranc – best player on the park vs Coleraine by a street  – less space vs TNS and was the worst player..hmm got to be a sub when the game has slowed down.

Holt – did well both games, really worked hard but not enough creativity

Thomson – nice touches but doesn’t drive fwd with the ball.

Windass – played well going fwd vs TNS – he has something just not consistently.

Mackay – a standout – when he came on we looked dangerous…don’t know if PEds rates him though..Dalcio worked harder without the same ability.

    Dodo – meh played wide…nope.

Halliday – played well and never put a foot wrong – drove past people …and beat them definitely better attacking and away from the defence..just can't get last year out my head.

    Strikers:

Miller – worked hard was completely at fault for the TNS goal – really wasn’t at the races tbh…spent more time in midfield.

Waghorn – got involved held the ball up and worked hard on the high press..fair play but …still can’t shoot.

Morales – will create his own chances held the ball well – first touch isn’t glue ! …strangely reminds me of a young Kenny miller when he first got here at 19/20….will miss heaps but stills score goals.

Hardie: played well for the time he was on the pitch and finished well 1v1 vs Coleraine….if he goes on loan it must be to a SPL side otherwise it’s pointless...should stay in the first team squad though as he scores goals.

If you got to here...well done.

In my view the only thing people really remember and really care about is who won.  Nobody remembers the second places or the also rans.  And nobody gives a fuck about the stats they generated but which still did not lead to winning success.   Such stats are cold comfort distractions.   Winning is the only thing that matters.  History gets to be written by the winners and that's all that matters when it comes to stats and graphs.

And if they didn't win who gives a fuck about how fast they ran, how much distance they covered, how many completed passes they made, how many attempts on goal in each half, how many saves, and so on.....all nicely packaged in a digital display and with el wizzo graphics to go with it.  A sort of digital fireworks display......except that if its not accompanied by winning a game or winning the league or winning a cup then actually, who really gives a fuck?

Its the sort of distracting thing you do when you're not winning enough or not winning leagues.  That's maybe why Watford and Crystal Palace like it.  They have no realistic chance of winning the EPL and their goal season after season is survival in the EPL.   We are Rangers.  Winning titles is what we are about.  Winning football games and winning enough of them to win titles is the matchday experience that no amount of digital powerpoint-type charts and graphs will ever be a substitute for.

I hope this malarkey is affordable  Added to the expense just announced this week for more staff at Auchenhowie I hope all this investment in staff overhead and in gizmo technology is really worth it.    It would be carts before horses if this spending is not followed by players arriving this summer who are patently better quality players than those we saw last season then I'd question the wisdom of the spending priorities.   Let's see what new players arrive and whether they are definitely better quality because if they are not then the el gizmo digital stats thingy is likely to be throwing up numbers and graphs next season that may not make for good reading .....never mind not making a good match day experience.

Oh and 'Executive Club'.  What a crap name for something relating to football.  Having an exclusive product or service offering or even an el wizzo digital thingy does not mean its for 'executives'. Or does it?  Is that the aim for the Club.....to turn support into some sort of executive privilege?    Seems to me not enough execs at the Club have stood long enough in the old fashioned terraces or sat with the wider Support.     Cosseted they are.  Cosseted.  And it shows in picking names like 'Executive Club' for a product offering.

In case its not obvious enough.  I'm not impressed.   I'll be more impressed if the players we sign are obviously of a much better quality than those we've seen this season in which case this Executive Club thing can be relegated in my mind to a sidebar distraction while the real action and really meaningful nformation takes place by winning on the pitch.

Seriously some of our fans are a nightmare...whinge like fuck about lack of commercial awareness....the club does something positive and we whinge like fuck....basically what you are saying is 'don't care about any progressiveness...we can only move forward linearly and not look at 1st team players and commercial ideas at the same time......perish the thought we could do both at the same time.... ffs

  6. OP You understand that Sellick get money for mediocrity because they are winning...no one wants to spend money on losers, which is what we have a team of...so if Keirnan played for them they would actually get money for him.

Our players still confuse me though....Windass and Waggy played well in Perth...well done lads only took you the entire season.

  7. I sat at Ibrox at the end of That game and felt sick - those pricks had sang for 90 mins and our team capitulated in front of them.

So no, this season is an unmitigated disaster, it's unbelievable to think it's not the most embarrassing, as failing to beat accountants and dog walkers having to start early to finish at 3:30 so they can prepare to play against us: truly mortifying.

We need more than season ticket money that's for sure, but at least it's a start...the fans renewing is the only positive story in this debacle...

  8. You're missing the point....we are not as good as them..they are unbeaten it simply shows that results have improved nothing else...it's easy to turn round and and say Pedro is shit, but simply put with a worse team to pick from ( eg loads of players out or not interested) He has played youth, changed a system completely and got better results without any of his players coming in......now McCoist i hated from the start as a manager, but he deserved a chance - Pedro deserves the same before the knives come out....
