  1. Do love waking up to see you raging as per 🤣 The figures were quoted from various places, Hagi's were actually higher than that but no point in arguing with a guy who buries his head in the sand at any opportunity
  2. Its the players themselves that are the problem, there's a massive lack of pace in our attacking areas, even Kent isn't what you'd call rapid Our plan, since Gerrard is to get it wide and get quality delivery in. Teams sussed it out domestically a while ago
  3. If there's a better idea or a plan in place i'm all for it, whether its Sakala upfront with Kent/Aribo narrow either side I don't know We just can't line up the same way as Sunday
  4. Honestly, I wouldn't even be opposed to it. Will it likely go tits up...aye Is it better than just picking the same thing that hasn't worked last 2 times vs the taigs...100%
  5. He doesn't have the pace or the physical presence to play upfront, he's a good penalty box striker but they're useless in the modern game, it's why Roofe struggles under Gio No idea who Braga have at CB these days, can barely remember who they had last time! But if it's 2 big physical guys they'll just bully Roofe all night long and we'll get nothing from him If we're going for anything involving Roofe it has to be 2 up top to try and get something out of him
  6. Gio won't drop McGregor now & tbh there's not much point in him doing it Everybody know's he's done at the end of the season, his mistakes have already cost us points & he obviously doesn't trust McLaughlin
  7. Roofe was an initial 4.5 million with various add-ons, his whole deal with quoted to be upwards of 10 million btw including wages etc Hagi was initial 3 million with add-ons It's at least 7.5 million in initial fees, not including add-ons/...would say it's being very realistic to assume they cost us at least that.
  8. Because at the end of season, we'll very likely finish near their points total & finish with the same amount of trophies...0. They imploded January onwards, pretty similar to us domestically tbh! The bigger issues away from just this season are the board & squad, our board are a few weeks away from the fans completely turning on them, if they haven't already, its been bubbling for a while now As for the squad, I've honestly got no idea how it'll go but we need a rebuild similar to them but I'm guessing with a far smaller budget
  9. 6 game, the fact we have them & some tough away games, I would say us getting 12 points from those games is being very generous on current form, would leave us 8 points up on them last season Leagues gone, 1 cup is gone, the other I don't think anybody fancies us to beat them And the squads at the point where we realistically might see 10 go out the door in the summer with a massive rebuild coming. Euorpe has been a saving grace & it'll hopefully keep some value in certain players but we're much closer to the state they were in last season than people are wiling to admit. All of that is even without mentioning Wilsons shocking transfers, the Park vs King shit & the Sydney friendly fiasco. We've got just as big a problems at the board room level that they faced.
  10. So the exact same setup as Sunday then? No idea who Braga have at CB but if it's 2 relatively big guys then you'll see Roofe get back pocketed again for 90 minutes
  11. Only thing you can hope is we don't line up the same way as Sunday with Roofe upfront, would show Gio has learned absolutely nothing.
  12. Need to look at it based on how much we spent, it's the reason why Kent is criticised so much From that list, Hagi & Roofe stand out, best part of 10 million there, we need players like that to step up & dominate up here & they simply don't do it anywhere near enough. Hagi especially, for how much he seems to be a fan favourite, his numbers are horrific.
  13. Would've been worth the risk if we had won the league, the fact we haven't means aye its been 1 season too long Personally, I think he'll either be forced into signing a deal or we'll lose him for nothing.
  14. Aye before today's news I think Morelos would've left and you're right, we probably get somewhere around 70% of his value. After this, I'd say it's more likely he signs an extension or ends up leaving on a free. No club is coming in with 8 figures for a player just back from a long term injury and an OP so either we take a lowball offer, we get him to sign or we lose him for nothing Shocking state of affairs
  15. Aye you need to give them time when things are going well or at least before we get to this point Lowry should've stayed in the squad around the time Hagi got injured. He'd already been playing & looked good. King I would've had in alongside Goldson when Balogun/Helander had their injuries but we persisted with Bassey at CB and Barisic at LB Weston is a bit tougher as we've always had options in Roofe & Sakala then brought Itten back in January, as shite as they are they're option's and no manager is playing a kid before them
  16. 100% agree but it's just not the way of modern football You throw King, Lowry or Weston in now for the remaining games/ Semi Final etc & you're just setting them up for a massive fall they'll never recover from
  17. If he got injured while at Colombia, they have to pay compensation for him while he's out 100% why Gio mentioned right away that it was a different injury...to the same leg...on a guy who had been struggling for weeks...
  18. He's shite, has had 2 games against them in the last 2 months and barely kicked his own arse in either?
  19. Well aye that's a very big possibility now No club is paying a big fee for a player returning from a long term injury in pre season, same with Hagi.
  20. If you believe the Lille offer, it was supposed to be around that figure and we knocked it back If anything, his European reputation is even higher now than at that point, the club will 100% be looking for that kind of fee for him Personally, I think we wanted Kent to sign a new deal & sell Morelos + a few others for our transfer budget. I think that will be flipped around now & we'll be pushing Morelos to sign a deal & depending on how bad this injury is, he might actually have no choice.
  21. Was about to say this, I think he'll be here next season now No big club is going to spend the 15-20 million we want for him after a 3/4 month injury.
  22. Think that's the main problem, it's complete role reversal now from the last 2 years of OFs We were playing shit in some of them and still winning, the zero shots on target game springs to mind & that's exactly what the taigs did yesterday, played shit and still won pretty comfortably. Hart made 1 real save, the shot from Sakala down to his left, other than that they had the better chances & easily could've had 3 by half time again.
  23. Without doubt there is blame at everyone's door for the mess we are currently in If Gerrard was still in charge, I'd be saying the same, there's no way they should've won the league this season & whoever overseen it needs to go. You can only get rid of players if we have buyers You can sack Wilson but the manager will always be blamed for the signings, whether they were his or not is another story. End of the day it'll always fall back on the manager, I wouldn't have been surprised to see him go this morning, I think realistically though he's got Braga & 2 games vs them to save his job.
  24. Well we were 4 clear before Gio came in & 6 clear at the winter break I'm sure? Gio gave us an initial bounce aftwr the Semi final and we went on a good run, he got rightly praised for it. We largely played the same way as he didn't have time to change much. Then we disappeared for 3 weeks, Gio had time to get the players into his way of playing & we came back to this horrific run of form, beat twice off the taigs & has now lost us the league Gerrard can be blamed for the Champions League qualifiers, the summer spending, the inability to notice where we needed fresh blood etc. Losing the league to them is on Gio.
