  1. The start of the game was the most we've looked up for a match in a long time. It was exactly what we wanted to see. But the players faded away as soon as the faced adversity. We do need someone who can take the team by the scruff of the neck and give them a kick up the arse to drive them on to get results. Thought Bruno could be that player but he didn't show it today
  2. If we can get players close to him then I think he can create chances by putting himself about and disrupting defences. But he's not going to be prolific and definitely isn't the most technically gifted. Think we could make use of him but he needs to start showing a bit more than he is. Still think we need another striker before the window closes.
  3. I can't say the result was down to the referee. Yes he got his decisions wrong but the first two goals were very sloppy. Red card or no red card we should have been one nil up at half time. That's before you take into account the chance Kenny Miller missed. We should never have let ourselves get in a position to be chasing the game. Should have been under control. They got there tactics right in the second half trying to use the man advantage and pass the ball about, but they're hardly Barcelona. We should have been more on top of them, putting them under pressure and forcing mistakes. Hopefully, they learn from it and like I said I don't think we'll see improvements but it wasn't the red card that caused us to lose today, only have ourselves to blane
  4. Agree Rangers would have won with 11 players on the field. The disappointment for me is that they should have been able to win, or at the very least draw even with ten. The referee was shocking but things have gone against us before and we've fought back. We've won Cup Finals with 9 men because the players showed the right attitude. Maybe have to accept that we're not the team we used to be but you still expect players to show a bit of desire and I don't think they did. That said I do think we'll see a reaction going forward starting with Hearts next week, and over the course of the season we'll show we're better than wee teams like Hibs
  5. I found it embarrassing. Everyone in the stands and everyone watching at home would have been fired up for the second half after the way the first half ended. But on the pitch Hibs had an easy ride for 45 minutes. We hardly got close to them, and a few times they were able to keep possession, slow the game down and put 10-15 passes together without being challenged. That shouldn't happen, especially when we're playing at home. The red card has obviously done us no favours but we should still have been able to at least salvage a draw against a team like them.
  6. Apart from the first 20 minutes we were second to to near enough every ball, pushed about too easy, beaten to almost everything in the air. Can say what you like about the referee, he did get a lot wrong, but after looking right up for it at kick off the players just lay down after the red card. Need to show more character than that when things don't go our way. Add to that the comical defending for the first two goals and it all makes for a shite afternoon
  7. Absolutely no bottle from the players after things went against us. Sending off screwed us over but you'd expect the players to come out fired up in the second half and they haven't, been easy for Hibs
  8. Last year I'd have been nervous to play Hibs, even though they were a division below. But right now I'm buzzing and fairly confident. 2-0. Miller and Windass
  9. Best player on the park last night. Great work rate and attitude, causes problems going forward with his pace and crossing but is also willing to get back and help out defensively. He does everything we could ask of a right midfielder, if he keeps it up he'll be invaluable
  10. Alves and Cardoso have been the standouts because they're such an improvement on how weak we were defensively last year. It's a good sign that there's so many different opinions on here though, the whole team looks stronger and you could make valid arguments for four or five of the new signings being the best.
  11. Great performance! Morelos and Candeias in particular looked good but the overall attitude of the team was brilliant, still pressing and working hard right to the final whistle even at 6-0. Roll on Saturday now
